The´re trying to ´Palinize´ Marco Rubio

| On Twitter yesterday, some of my conservative friends beat me up for writing about Marco Rubio’s comments to GQ about the Earth’s age. Their point was that it was a silly question (it was.) And that it was feeding a liberal meme (it is.) But the notion that this means we should ignore it is also silly.(snip)And so, this is a strategy. Like Sarah Palin in 2008, Democrats view Marco Rubio as a major threat — not just for one or two elections — but someone who could undermine their advantage
|
Comments: And just like Palin, Morning Joe is Ground Zero for this strategy.

The Left isn´t our main problem when it comes to their tactics. Our problem is those "on our side" who aid and abet the Left in their objective, by joining in the potshots instead of "circling the wagons".

As we saw from the coordinated and systematic distruction of laudable conservative candidates during this years´s primary, it is instructive to define who THEY are. Examine who isn´t being vilified or whispered about and then ask cui bono?

One who wishes to be president must be adroit. There is no reason for anyone to participate in wide-ranging interviews with media known to be antithetical to one´s beliefs and hope to get through the minefield unscathed.
For all her talent, Sarah Palin was not adoit. Trying to be too cool, Rubio has fallen into the same trap.
We need someone who has many attributes. Adroitness at avoiding this kind of stuff, which would be obvious to almost any LDotter, is essential.

Well of course they are going to try to destroy Rubio. Duh? Him and anyone else who raises a profile. Maybe the only one who won´t get demonized right now is John Huntsman. But wait . . . . he´s a democrats democrat anyway. It´s time the GOP started demonizing some democrats as well. If I had the deep pockets, I would investigate every democrat with a profile and drag all of their dirt out and air it.

Hopefully Senator Rubio has learned his lesson. There is nothing..nothing at all...to be gained by giving an interiview to someone from GQ or other such magazines.
Marco...they do not like you. You are a conservative. They hate you and are already trying to take you down.
You have to be more streetwise.

#4 While I agree with your strategy regarding the Democrats, how would you make the Kneepad Media air any dirt you´d come up with? As they´ve proven is the past election, they still control the flow of information to the stupid, the main Democrat constituency. I´ll watch with interest to see which of the Palin haters here pick up the media´s narrative on Rubio. I´m convinced it will be many of those we´re already familiar with.

It would be so refreshing that no one wouldn´t love it. Attack thwarted.

Anyone who knows anything about being `cool` knows it is not something you try to be. You either are or aren`t. It starts from childhood on up. Any attempt by a republican to try an act cool will backfire miserably. If Rubio could rip off some Eddie Van Halen riffs on Jay Leno he might get half way there but he`ll never look or sound cool.
I don`t see any republican today who could defeat even the worst democrat. They have perfected the winning strategy, which includes voter fraud an all the right judges in the right places at the right time. They know they`ll never be challenged by the `uncool` GOP.

The one thing that conservative candidates needs to remember is that the left does not view them as stupid, but, instead as evil. By liberal definition, therefore, nothing that an evil person does can be good. The only way that you will get a liberal to like you is to become a liberal. Period. End of discussion. Full stop.

The answer to the question "How old is the Earth?" is "Is G-d infinite or not?" If G-d is infinite then G-d can squeeze 4.5 billion years of time into one/4.5 billionth of a billionth of a billionth of a second. Or: "If it is true that nothing can come from nothing, tell me where the material for the universe came from."

President Obama´s decision last year to allow young people living in the U.S. illegally to stay and work marked the biggest shift in immigration policy in decades, hailed as a landmark step toward the American dream for a generation of immigrants. But months later, many immigrants are having vastly different reactions to the change depending on where they live, and they aren´t flocking to the program at the levels the government originally expected. A handful of Republican-led states are blocking basic benefits for those in the program, denying beneficiaries identification cards, driver´s licenses,

The river and surrounding parklands are home to regal horned lizards and other uncommon kinds of reptiles and toads. On Easter Sunday, Google is honoring the birthday of the late labor organizer Cesar Chavez by placing a Chavez portrait within the middle “o” of the Google logo that appears on the homepage of the popular search engine. While Google frequently decorates its logo to celebrate various holidays and special events, it is unclear why the company chose specifically to honor Chavez’s birthday, instead of Easter Sunday. Chavez co-founded the organization now known as the United Farm Workers union (UFW). He became an iconic figure in the labor movement, with his stature only increasing since his death

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
