Stars and Stripes, by Cristina Silva

NAPLES, Italy — The Navy on Monday dismissed two commanders amid allegations of misconduct, weeks before they were both scheduled to assume new commands. Capt. Ted Williams was relieved as commander of the amphibious command ship USS Mount Whitney, and Cmdr. Ray Hartman was relieved as commander of the amphibious dock-landing ship USS Fort McHenry, said Cmdr. Marc Boyd, spokesman for U.S. Naval Forces Europe/Africa. The Navy would not describe the nature of the allegations. Both investigations center on personal conduct, Boyd said.

Sounds a lot like the Stalin purges before WWII. Would like to know some specifics to warrant the changes, or else it could be purging and revenge.

Yup. I am thinking it´s those that were a threat to the current adminstration.

Anyone seen so many "misconduct/infidelity" charges EVER in any adminstration?

Between the Secret Service and Military ranks?

Commies are in control.

It´s called Stalin´s purges. Obama doesnt trust the military and looks to put his own loyalist in instead. Look for Janet Napolitano & David Axelrod types to people the flag ranks now, mouthing the glories of gays in the military, political correctness, birth control and all the other totems of the left. It´s going to get bad out there.

We had a commander in chief that forced his superiors to make him take a DNA test to prove the case against his personal conduct. We did nothing to him.

Practically speaking, military resistance is the only thing our rogue government would possibly have to fear.

A dollar to a do-nut these guys are all republicans...

I believe many do fall for the "It;s all about me" mentality when promoted. Many do not fall into the trap though.
Many more are getting ready to leave because Bamster is putting MORE of his Behind Kissers in place to move up the ranks. I pray for our Servicemen daily because we are a military family. Do Not think this is being lost on our enlisted troops. They have learned well from Benghazi- every man for himself. Now if those brass that willingly leave will speak up, corrections could be made.

Some of these individuals are solid experienced leaders. They will continue to be of high value in the future.

What we are seeing that since 9-11 the military has slacked in enforcing standards puting warfighting and retention first. Now we are slashing end strength everyone is looking for discrimanators to get rid of people.

In the Army they are doing this by refusing to let career NCO´s re-enlist if they had a blemishes as small as being being overweight or failing a PT test even if they overcame those issues and met the standards.

It might be interesting to track who gets promoted into these 22 positions. I´m guessing it will be a veritable "Rainbow Coalition" of females, Blacks, Hispanics, Middle Eastern and Gay "Military of Tomorrow" types.

The Norks recently fired a military commander by placing him under a pre-targeted Mortar barrage. Not the same..but similar.

Leadership begins at the top. It also fails from the same echelon. I held on from 1993-2001; can´t imagine what it must be like these days. And now there´s a $500 million budget cut looming on the horizon.

Williams was headed for the prestigious command of one of the few heavy aircraft carriers. He served as XO on a carrier. The path is - command of a deep draft auxiliary - then the the command of a carrier on the way to his flag.

Not much info on Hartman.

I don´t think this is a purge. These guys were pretty low on the feeding chain. They are three or four steps down from the four-stars like Ham, Allen, Sinclair, Patraeous and Ward

Many of these are due to zipper control problems.

Women on deployed ships don´t help zipper control whether Officer or Enlisted.

I suspect it is less purging than emptying command slots so the right people can be moved up faster.

The right people may be of a favored sex or race or sexual orientation. Or have the right political views. Or just be related to a VIP or big donor.

We can only speculate about specific cases. But more generally, in a regime like Obama´s the military will be corrupted rapidly.

In researching the reasons for the dismissals, I found that most were for administrative deficiencies and command and control inabilities. This what happens when pc runs amok in the services. Real men of character are avoiding commands because they are vulnerable to the pc regulations that are pervasive military regs. One fact also noted that four of five women commanders were relieved of duty because they did not command with strength and respect.
My conclusion is that the new USN commanders who can command are out there and they keep their commands close to their vests and do a really good job. It´s these 22 who failed to uphold the integrity of their positions as commander.

You can be sure that no one is getting three or four stars without being an Obama loyalist, but these command level firings are all due to sexual misconduct which is all due the women in combat and gays in the military thing which is quietly destroying our military culture like cancer,

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explained to the Women in the World summit in New York today that the clock is turning back for women in America. Clinton praised her own mother for helping empower her to success and marveled at the opportunities that her own daughter Chelsea has pursued. But Clinton warned that there is still so much to do to promote women´s rights in America. "As I look at all these young women that I am privileged to work with, or know through Chelsea, and its hard to imagine turning the clock on them," Clinton said.

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed. Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today. In the five pages of the settlement that were available for public review, the settlement amount had been marked out. Lower in the agreement, the parties specified that they would keep that amount confidential. When asked during an earlier interview whether the amount was

The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts. According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving." "The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per
