| The White House on Wednesday condemned an attack on a bus in Tel Aviv that wounded at least 10 people. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those injured, and with the people of Israel," press secretary Jay Carney said. "These attacks against innocent Israeli civilians are outrageous." The bus was near military headquarters and the Israeli Defense Ministry when a bomb that had been placed inside the vehicle exploded, Reuters reports. The attack, deemed a terrorist act by Israel, touched off celebratory gunfire in Gaza that threatened to derail ceasefire talks.

At least four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have retained lawyers, or are in the process of doing so, as they prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress, Fox News has learned. Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate intelligence committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistleblowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.

President Obama’s charm offensive has been a dismal failure. Of course, he didn’t really try all that hard. He bought dinner for a few Republican lawmakers, vowed to meet them halfway, but within a week — after his gun-grab bill went up in flames — he called them “liars” and stomped off in a huff, taking his ball with him. The midterm elections in 2014 will decide whether the president can actually implement his far-reaching socialist agenda or if he’ll have to settle for the federal takeover of one-sixth of the nation’s economy with Obamacare. In the meantime,

HOUSTON – For many Americans, it is almost reflexive to feel like a racist or a bigot when questioning why so much of the violence directed against our culture is perpetrated by Muslims. We no longer have the luxury of burying our collective heads in the sand and pretending that all cultures and religions are the same. While reading the following article, please put political correctness aside and focus on the facts and direct quotations from the Koran. The Truth: The truth is that the Koran directly compels Muslims to commit violent acts against disbelievers.

Former President Bill Clinton is not the sax-playing, Elvis-style, burger-loving White House guy anymore. He is now the reinvented vegan hipster globalist statesman emcee - and he returns to the nation’s capital with much ado Monday. Slim and seeming recklessly cheerful, Mr. Clinton will host something called “A Night Out with the Millennium Network” at a boutique hotel about two blocks from his old digs at the White House, accompanied by daughter Chelsea Clinton. “Book of Mormon” star Josh Gad and chanteuse Carly Rae Jepsen. It is an evening for the young and restless. Guests -

With all the media panic about sequestration, one would think a study finding billions of dollars of fraud in a government program would be national news. Apparently not, for with few exceptions, a report published by the St. Louis Federal Reserve last week finding $3.3 billion in fraudulent unemployment claims in 2011 got almost no attention: The unemployment insurance program in the U.S. offers benefits to workers if they lose their jobs through no fault of their own. In 2011, this program cost $108 billion, of which nearly $3.3 billion was spent on overpayments due to fraud.

"If [President Obama] doesn´t respect his own red line on Syria, there is no question that Israel and Iran will look at that and say, ´Well, we can´t trust the guy. He’s not going to be tough.´" DAVID GERGEN: I appreciate the Administration has a dilemma. They want Assad to fall. They want him to lose, but they don´t want the rebels to win. With high praise for labor unions and criticism for the manufacturing industry’s history, President Barack Obama declared Sunday to be “Workers Memorial Day.” In the proclamation, Obama cited deplorable work conditions in factories during the early 20th Century. “A combination of shoddy equipment and fatigue from long shifts made serious injury and death all too common,” the president said. “Career-ending injuries often led to poverty and starvation. From mine shafts to railroads to factory floors, workers began to speak out.” He then praised organized labor and government regulation stopping these injuries and deaths. “Thanks to generations of union

Hogue contended that Gosnell was allowed to operate as a result of the actions of pro-life groups which advocated for restrictions on abortion that drove reputable practitioners in Pennsylvania out of business. MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts said that NARAL came under fire from conservatives for ignoring the Gosnell case and its implications

Michelle Obama did not walk the E!-streamed red carpet before tonight´s White House Correspondents´ Dinner — she was already at home, of course — so our first glimpse of her black Monique Lhuillier gown came later, once dinner started. And damn does she look good. This is a sexier look on her than usual, with a sheer lace panel over her decolletage and a molded bustier-style top. She very wisely chose a dress that photographs well while she´s sitting down, Schiaparelli-style, with elaborate beading along her collarbone and fitted cap sleeves that flatter her arms. Washington - America´s blacks voted at a higher rate than other minority groups in 2012 and by most measures surpassed the white turnout for the first time, reflecting a deeply polarized presidential election in which blacks strongly supported Barack Obama while many whites stayed home. Had people voted last November at the same rates they did in 2004, when black turnout was below its current historic levels, Republican Mitt Romney would have won narrowly, according to an analysis conducted for The Associated Press. Census data and exit polling show that whites and blacks will remain

Over five years after Barack Obama won the Iowa caucuses and demolished the notion that white voters wouldn’t support a black presidential candidate, progress for other African-American politicians remains elusive. Even as the country elected and re-elected Obama, making it seem increasingly unremarkable to have a black family in the White House, African-Americans are scarce and bordering on extinct in the U.S. Senate and governorships. The president is indeed exceptional - but in the wrong sense of the phrase as it applies to other black politicians. Consider what has taken place, or not taken place,

The move comes three days after they drafted Geno Smith in the second round to compete with Mark Sanchez, David Garrard and Greg McElroy for the starting quarterback spot. It ends Tebow’s 13 months as a Jet that were more memorable for all of the headlines than anything that actually happened on the field. Several House Democrats are calling on Congress to recognize that climate change is hurting women more than men, and could even drive poor women to "transactional sex" for survival. The resolution, from Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) and a dozen other Democrats, says the results of climate change include drought and reduced agricultural output. It says these changes can be particularly harmful for women. "[F]ood insecure women with limited socioeconomic resources may be vulnerable to situations such as sex work, transactional sex, and early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health,"

In the lore of the ancient Romans, Horatius was a soldier who single-handedly fought off an invading army. The Etruscans had attacked in order to impose a despot on Rome and, by holding them back while his comrades destroyed the bridge that was the only practical route to the city, this single warrior saved the free republic. Obamacare is certainly the bridge via which the forces of despotism plan to “fundamentally transform” the United States, and a decorated Iraq veteran named Matt Sissel may be the Horatius who prevents them from crossing.

HIGHLANDS, NJ — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Monday that President Obama "has kept every promise he´s made" about helping the state recover from Hurricane Sandy. Speaking on MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" program on the 6-month anniversary of the deadly storm, the Republican governor said presidential politics were the last thing on his mind as he toured storm-devastated areas with Obama last fall. "The president has kept every promise he´s made," said Christie, widely considered a potential candidate for the republican presidential nomination in 2016. "I think he´s done a good job. He kept his word."
