| The president is bent on raising taxes big time, if not on January 1, when all sorts of rates are scheduled to go up, then shortly thereafter as the new, more Democratic Congress convenes to do its damage. The rationale? The deficit is getting out of control. Indeed it is. Since January 2009, when Obama took office, the United States has run cumulative budget deficits of $5 trillion. Before that time, debt held by the public was $6.3 trillion. Now it’s $11.4 trillion, an increase of 80%. What did we get for it? Growth of 1.5% per year.

FDR was a Keynesian. The east coast of the U.S is full of concrete bridges (county, state, etc) dated mid 1930´s. The mega project was Hoover Dam. Massive concrete. Even still, with poor management, it took years for the Keynesians to turn the corner.
I have yet to hear about one bag of concrete poured in Obama´s "Keynesian" plan. Because he is not a Keynesian. Just massive "crony capitalism", traditionally known as graft and corruption.

A man from Tupelo, Miss. has been arrested as a suspect in the case of two letters mailed to the president and a Mississippi senator, letters that initially tested positive for ricin. The man was identified as Kenneth Curtis, NBC News reported. Meanwhile, more tests have been ordered after a second set of ricin tests on the letters sent to the White House and the Senate came back inconclusive, NBC News reports. The tests show some level of the deadly poison, but the potency is uncertain, so authorities can’t tell whether the material is harmful or not.

BOSTON - A law enforcement official has told CBS News that an arrest has been made in the Boston Marathon bombings. The person has been taken into custody by federal marshals and will be in court Wednesday afternoon. Jeff Flake if the Arizona Republican votes against legislation to expand background checks.
