| Near the Israel-Gaza border-- A bomb exploded on a bus in Tel Aviv as it passed by Israeli army headquarters around noon Wednesday. The attack, which police said left 18 passengers injured, shook up the Israeli public and threatened to complicate efforts to achieve a cease-fire on the eighth day of violence between Israel and Gaza.

What is the point of calling yourself an ally of another country if every time a mutual enemy attacks them you don´t take your ally´s side? Why are we always trying to play it down the middle with these cretins?
Tell them to cease and desist all hostilities toward Israel or American war planes will join the Israeli bombing raids. Period.

On Wednesday, Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) joined nearly two thousand trade unionists, open communists, socialists, anarchists and illegal aliens at Chicago´s May Day march and rally. Two large rally demonstrations that began at Union Park and Chicago´s Haymarket Riot monument converged into a giant march that shut down traffic for miles, and ended at Federal Plaza where they were joined by Senator Durbin. Durbin made remarks to the red, yellow and black flag waving crowd about "immigration reform." Opening with "My fellow immigrants," Durbin told the crowd "this is a once in a lifetime chance" to get "immigration reform."

Last Friday, conservative activist and media scourge Andrew Breitbart was posthumously vindicated. Before he died in March 2012 of sudden heart failure, he had worked tirelessly to expose the horrific fraud that is Pigford. For those who get their news only from the New York Times, the name “Pigford” would have sounded unfamiliar until last week, but only because Andrew’s efforts to make the mainstream media cover the issue (as he had induced them to cover Weinergate) were cut short by his untimely death. It’s a complicated and disturbing story,

Fraudster James McCormick has been jailed for 10 years for selling fake bomb detectors. McCormick, 57, of Langport, Somerset perpetrated a "callous confidence trick", said the Old Bailey judge. He is thought to have made £50m from sales of 7,000 of the fake devices to countries including Iraq. The fraud "promoted a false sense of security" and contributed to death and injury, the judge said. He also described the profit as "outrageous".

Freedom House released its annual report on press freedom throughout the world today at an event sponsored by the Newseum in Washington. But along with the usual and appropriate condemnations of dictatorships and totalitarian states, the group decided to slam the one democracy in the Middle East as well as one of the few states in the region where press freedom actually exists: Israel.

As today is May Day, a time when lots of people put the best spin possible on some of the most murderous movements in human history, I figured I’d chime in on the new FX show The Americans, which I finally caught up with while travelling. Dan Foster did a nice piece on the series not too long ago. He has a better summary of the show’s premise, but the short of it is this: Set in the first years of the Reagan administration, it follows two deep-cover Soviet

Last week I wrote specifically about the pitiful coverage of the Boston marathon terror attacks and the continual denial by the mainstream media of possible Islamic involvement. In a perverse way this dereliction of journalistic duty while reprehensible is understandable because the press lapdogs of this administration do not want to admit that Obama´s PC national security policies involving Muslims might have contributed to the Boston attack. We know the media is spineless. However its neglect to report on the Gosnell abortion trial shows that they have lost any moral compass they ever had just to cover up Obama's strong support of the abortion industry.

A president is in trouble when he’s forced to defend his relevancy, as Bill Clinton did 18 years ago, or to quote Mark Twain, as Barack Obama did Tuesday. “Rumors of my demise,” he said at a news conference, “may be a little exaggerated at this point.” Not wrong--just “exaggerated.” Not forever--just “at this point.” Parsing aside, Obama channeled Clinton’s April 18, 1995, news conference by projecting a sense of helplessness--or even haplessness--against forces seemingly out of a president’s control.

After quoting Marx ("Groucho, not Karl”) to squeeze one last laugh out of the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, President Obama abruptly stopped joking. Hundreds of politicians, celebrities, journalists, and corporate sponsors fell silent as he dropped a 607-word morality bomb: “We can do better,” Obama told the elites. “If we’re only focused on profits or ratings or polls,” he admonished an audience focused on profits, ratings, and polls, “then we’re contributing to the cynicism that so many people feel right now.” The last quarter of Obama’s remarks Saturday night received little coverage from media organizations

FORT COLLINS, Colo.- A party-turned-riot made for a wild night for as many as 1000 people in a Fort Collins neighborhood just a few blocks west of Colorado State University’s campus. The idea reportedly started on Facebook touting this as a “legendary” block party, but it quickly grew out of control Saturday night. “I think it was everybody’s goal to go big,” says party-goer Mason Coggins. “They wanted to to be on the news and for it to be a big deal.”

WASHINGTON — Lawmakers yesterday demanded to know whether slain Boston Marathon terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev got overseas training and what role his jihad-loving mom played in developing his murderous beliefs. Focus on Tsarnaev’s mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, has intensified since Saturday, when it was revealed that Russian security forces had wiretapped recordings of her speaking to Tamerlan about jihadist activities. Investigators want to talk to Tsarnaeva, who lives in the Republic of Dagestan, American officials said. “I think she played a very strong role in his radicalization process,” House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul (R-Texas) told “Fox News Sunday.”

Tebow Time is up. The Jets released popular backup quarterback Tim Tebow on Monday morning, The Post has learned. The move comes three days after they drafted Geno Smith in the second round to compete with Mark Sanchez, David Garrard and Greg McElroy for the starting quarterback spot. It ends Tebow’s 13 months as a Jet that were more memorable for all of the headlines than anything that actually happened on the field. The Jets acquired him from the Broncos in March 2012 for a fourth-round draft pick

WASHINGTON — Legislation that would force Internet retailers to collect sales taxes from their customers has put antitax and small-government activists like Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform and the Heritage Foundation in an unusual position: they’re losing. For years, conservative Republican lawmakers have been influenced heavily by the antitax activists in Washington, who have dictated outcomes and become the arbiters of what is and is not a tax increase. But on the question of Internet taxation, their voices have begun to be drowned out by the pleas of struggling retailers

As a conservative, picking out things you don´t like about Barack Obama is kind of like pointing to the wettest part of the ocean. It also goes beyond politics. Not only is Barack Obama wrong politically, he´s not a good guy, "cool," or even moderately likable. To the contrary, he´s one of the nastiest, least admirable people in politics and he gets by based on a phony persona he created when he ran for President in 2008 -- along with the help of press corps liberals that work to protect him like

Of course, if the group of high-powered liberal billionaires and Democratic party fundraisers are successful in buying the Times, that’s just peachy with them. They are all totally oblivious to the riotous irony of opposing the purchase of a media outlet because they fear ideological contamination, while embracing a rival group’s effort to buy the paper who will ideologically contaminate the coverage anyway — except it happens to be an ideology with which they agree. That’s how to save “honest” news coverage in LA. HuffPo: As Tribune Co. emerges from a four-year bankruptcy, the predominantly Democratic

White House spokesman Jay Carney denied Benghazi whistleblowers have been denied access to testifying. On Monday, Fox News reported at least four officials within the State Department, and CIA have retained lawyers to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress. Several of the whistleblowers claim they have been threatened by unnamed Obama admin officials to not testify.

Victoria Toensing, Republican Counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, says her client, a State Department official now considered a whistle-blower in the investigation of the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, has been "threatened" by Obama administration officials. According to Toensing, these threats weren´t related to ambiguous matters. Rather, they were "specifically about Benghazi." She says the threats went beyond the four State Department officials who´ve currently retained counsel. "People have been threatened at the CIA" as well, she claimed. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says he shares colleagues’ concerns that the Affordable Care Act could become a “train wreck” if it’s not implemented properly. Reid warned that people will not be able to choose health insurance plans on government health exchanges if federal authorities lack the resources to set them up and educate the public. “Max said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a train wreck and I agree with him,” Reid said, echoing a warning delivered last month by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.). A series of official White House photographs brought together by Vanity Fair show the ´lean-back´ nature of Barack Obama´s presidency. The pictures reveal that Mr Obama often exhibits relaxed body language in stressful situations, with legs crossed and a knee raised. Most noticeable of all, the president often has his feet up on his desk. But this is not just any desk - the Resolute desk was given to President Rutherford B. Hayes by Queen Victoria in 1880. (Snip) Yet whether they are debating tragic events or vital economic policy, the president is often more reclined than those around him.

He also claimed that the United States knows who perpetrated last year´s assault on the U.S. embassy. Clocking in at nearly two hours, former President Bill Clinton gave the first in his new lecture series at Georgetown University yesterday in a speech that meandered from terrorism to public service. Clinton said this century “requires every thoughtful person to try to do some public good.” “Most people get in real trouble and abuse power when they forget that the purpose of their power is not to impose their will on others but to let other people be empowered to live their own lives better,” he said. “Or as I always say, have better stories.” He spent
