If they only knew what it was like in the private sector now. Struggling in tough times? Not as much as we are.

I am currently a Federal Worker. I hope there is an immediate pay freeze, hiring freeze and push for early retirement. What I am not, is a UNION Federal Worker. Cut the Federal Work force to a third of its present size and most things would work better. My agency worries about little more than justifying its existence NOT supporting the needs of the American People. Unfortunately the Obama Gang sees us as part of his constituency.

The post office just posted a 15 Billion loss for this year; it is time to let the private sector deliver the mail. UPS or FedEX will do it better and cheaper. Out postal service is outdated, overpaid, and it is time to cut the cord. The are whining because the postal workers have to actually fund some of their huge pension benefits; it is damn well about time they paid their fair share, and it time for them to make sacrifices like the rest of America. And the horrid TSA wants to unionize. Oh Brother.

What have they given up? Their raises keep coming and they´ve no layoffs. I work in a state government. We´ve not had increases in 3 years and have had about a 15% work force reduction.

When I think of public sector union employees I see "blood sucking leaches." Sorry, all public sector unions should be outlawed and serious downsizing needs to be accomplished at all levels of government....

I have a useless brother-in-law who retired from the PO around age 57 and he lives like a king. No sympathy here. They have it almost as good as school teachers.

Cut the federal work force by 15% and institute a two year pay freeze. Sorry, but the pain must be shared by all and so far federal workers haven´t felt a thing. (And sure, raise my taxes some if you need to trade that with the Dems for REAL and immediate cuts to the federal budget.)

Think of troops all over the world, with 60 lbs. on their backs, cold and hungry..missing their wives and children back home..and THEY are targeted to sacrifice to pay more for Tricare?
Congress should take a 89% pay cut..isn´t their approval rating 11%..they are worth nothing and we are not getting our money´s worth out of these louts.

Cut the Federal spending by 1 trillion THIS YEAR, not over 10 years, that´s a joke. Fire 1/2 of the Federal employees, starting with EPA, TSA, ATF and on and on. There are so many useless Federal agencies it makes one´s head spin.

Public employees are raking it in while the private sector is hurting more and more every day. I don´t expect they´ll lose a thing in this deal. Active and retired military will get their hard earned bennies cut, but streamline the civilian government? Blasphemy!

So many Federal employees are simply agents of redistribution. Compassionately dispose of them, without prejudice, of course.

Yes, just another group of zippy voters. So special - NOT. They couldn´t make it in the private sector. Cry babies!

How have federal workers contributed towards reducing the debt? They are part of the problem.

I read an article the other day that a bunch of Barry´s inner circle owe almost a million in back income taxes. Maybe the cuts can start with those leeches.

The only federal worker tyhat earns a profit is "Smokie Bear".
