‘Outrage’ over fed EBT push
for aliens

Boston Herald, by Dave Wedge

Original Article

Posted By:John c, 11/20/2012 8:35:54 AM

Local lawmakers are fuming over an Obama administration policy promoting welfare and EBT benefits for immigrants, with a “welcome” package and promotional website that encourage new arrivals to take advantage of the nation’s generous government largesse. “I think it’s a complete outrage that we’re encouraging people coming here to get on public assistance,” said state Rep. Shaunna O’Connell, a Taunton Republican who has fought for EBT reform. “We should be encouraging people to be self-sufficient. These programs are rampant with fraud and abuse.”

Comments:
More debt and moral bankruptcy.
Shaunna is a voice in the wilderness here in MA. She is a Republican.

Still waiting for Kirsten Powers (Fox News) to apologize. She vehemently denied that illegal immigrants were receiving any welfare benefits.

I thought one of the tenets of the left is that there are too many people. Why except for their voter registration would they encourage more people to come. They don´t need their votes they can supply them quite effectively.

More Obama vote-buying.

Allegedly Obama does not "need" votes anymore, because allegedly he will leave office after 4 more loooong years.

But as we conservatives have long known, the ultimate goal is for the Left to secure a permanent lock on the White House. As this last election proved, they´re nearly there.

I say go for it, the only way we can take back the country is to collapse the system. The faster the better.

When it collapses these freeloaders will be the first to perish.

Look at Sandy (storm) descending into chaos only takes a week or so, no electricity no food, no civilization.

They´ll be killing each other post haste, a Twinkie will cost 100 dollars, or your life.

Frank Armstrong never got the chance to know 8-year-old Martin Richard in this life. Nevertheless, the BPD captain in charge of Area E-18 in Hyde Park keeps a picture of the marathon bombings’ youngest casualty on the wall in his office. The Dorchester boy who loved the Bruins, and the 53-year-old cop, who grew up five houses away from where the Richard family lives, share a bond that is as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming. For nearly 12 hours on that fateful Patriots Day a year ago, Frank Armstrong led a squad of Boston police officers who stood watch over

The university said in a statement that Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali would no longer receive the honorary degree, which it had planned to award her at the May 18 commencement. Ali, a member of the Dutch Parliament from 2003 to 2006, has been quoted as making comments critical of Islam. That includes a 2007 interview with Reason Magazine in which she

JERUSALEM — The Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad said Thursday it had agreed to halt a wave of rocket fire on Israel, signaling an end to the heaviest fighting between the sides since 2012, though soon after the announcement two rockets fired from Gaza exploded inside Israel. The Islamic Jihad denied it launched the attack and it wasn´t immediately unclear who fired the rockets. Cease-fire declarations have not always been honored by militants and the barrage raised doubts about the cease-fire offer made by Islamic Jihad. The Israeli military said a total of four rockets were fired Thursday from Gaza.

WASHINGTON — As the Republican field for 2016 stands today, Hillary Clinton doesn’t have much to worry about. In fact, for all the talk about Benghazi and Obamacare, she has a lot to be happy about. And for the GOP, the future is bleak. Sen. Rand Paul officially won CPAC’s presidential straw poll. His message of libertarianism plays well with the small government crowd. Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. The son of the Nevada rancher locked in an increasingly tense land dispute with the federal government, says their cowboys managed to break a blockade and retrieve around 30 head of cattle. Federal agents swooped on Tuesday after Cliven Bundy, dubbed the last remaining rancher in southern Nevada, refused to remove his herd of 900 cows from land he claims has been in his family since 1870. The heavily-armed federal agents, equipped with eight helicopters and backed-up by snipers, surrounded the Bundy ranch after the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) attained a federal court order to confiscate the family´s herd. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
