I saw another article online this morning that said retailers have ruined every holiday and I don´t disagree with that. Some stores think Christmas starts in October now so that by the time Christmas actually gets here, you´re sick of it. I am certainly sick of having merchandising and commercialism shoved down my throat 24/7 and I wish there was something that could be done about it. Is there no sense of propriety anymore?

Seriously, why would any one care whether retailers or next door neighbors acknowledge Christmas "too early"?
Just be happy people are spending money so people can have jobs so they can pay their bills and not go on welfare.
We already have the muslims and atheists trying to ruin Christmas (review previous posts over the past days on this site) in general all over America that I cannot believe so many Americans are jumping on the same band wagon.
I would rather see Best Buy, Target and Kmart lines, than soup, unemployment and pan handling lines. So far the latter far outnumber the former this season.

I also heard it is to ´break the fall´ of greedy shoppers barging through the doors while it is still dark out and stampeding over store employees. People have been killed and seriously injured.
Let the die-hards who don´t have plans for the day, go on Thanksgiving. Friday for those who MUST, should be a tad calmer.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. A new CNN/ORC International poll found President Obama´s overall approval rating has ticked up to 51 percent but ratings have fallen on his handling of the key issues on his agenda: immigration, guns, and the deficit. North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
