The only way we´ll ever get immigration under management is if Hispanics start voting Republican. Then all of a sudden the Democrats will be interested.

I´d be interested to know if the over one million illegals that obama granted amnesty to, was the reason he was re-elected.

Why do republicans continue to shoot themselves in the foot? These people will not vote for them unless they also dole out freebies and we can´t afford it even with dims doing it!

We need to create some better choices for ourselves. Right now you either vote for the party of criminal negligence or the party of stupid. How did America fall so far?

The New York Times, as usual, misrepresents the opinion of most Republicans and proceeds to skewer its strawman.
Immigration policy should be driven by what is best for our country, not by negative stereotypes or by assuming all illegal immigrants come from one country.
Our policy has not been addressed in nearly 30 years. It needs to be modernized. That the Democrats are cynical and want to use the issue to enslave Hispancis on the Democrat Plantation does not require us to react to their perfidy.
We should be leading on this. We should not be saying or doing things which allow our enemies to easily categorize us as bigots.

This article mentions that the 11 million illegal aliens said to be here now must be allowed to live their lives as American citizens after a big amnesty. Nobody really knows how many illegal aliens are actually here now, as many of them simply falsely claim to be US citizens, and for all intends and purposes are believed by most who they come in contact with, including when they register to vote.

There may be 20 million illegal aliens actually here now. If the Republicans were to go along with a liberal Democrat amnesty that eventually offered them all US voting rights in the years ahead, the Republicans would be in effect committing long-term political suicide by handing the liberal Democrats many millions of new foreign born voters, who would permanently change the political balance of the country.

The vast majority of the illegal alien population are poor and generally uneducated people who have come here from socialist oriented countries. Once legalized they would become eligible to participate in the vast US social welfare network of government benefits and services. Anyone who thinks that those people would not vote for the liberal Democrats in order to continue and maximize those benefits and services is lacking knowledge about basic human nature. Just think about this one factor, once given US citizenship, they could all bring their millions of elderly parents into the USA in unlimited numbers, and enroll them in social security, and all the other government programs that were designed to assist elderly Americans.

I am tired of ´advice´ from the left.

I can´t change what I believe to be wrong. Abortion for convenience is wrong...Same sex marriage is wrong...invasion by illegals pouring in and sucking up benefits is wrong. If we lose we lose. There is no way in hell that the Republican Party can out-promise and out-spend the Dems when it comes to free stuff.

We are out of money....broke...busted. What happens next? Probably confiscation of all or part of your retirement portfolio to keep the country going a few more years so the politicians can get theirs. Along with stealth taxes on everything imaginable.

Feds will have your money one way or another.

In my entire lifetime I have never seen the GOP hold the line on anything. They will cave on immigration, taxes and cap/trade. Boehner and the Boys are trying to figure a way to accomplish this without looking like they gave in. It`s much easier for them than doing the right thing.

There is no reason to ever vote for the GOP again. They are perpetual losers.

I believe # 6 is wrong. Once an illegal drops that Anchor baby, everybody they can stuff in one house collects.

If we are talking about the fiscal cliff, let´s talk numbers like how much illegal immigration and social services for them cost taxpayers.

The great thing about this round of Amnesty is that, if you take into account well-established voting patterns of Latino voters, it will turn CO, NM, NV, FL, and AZ permanently blue. And then that will finish off whatever was left after Dear Leader´s second term.
