Obama warns against ´ramping up´
in Gaza crisis

Associated Press, by JIM KUHNHENN

Original Article

Posted By:Periwinkel, 11/18/2012 11:46:38 AM

BANGKOK -- President Barack Obama said Sunday an incursion by Israel´s forces into the Gaza Strip could only deepen its death toll, cautioning against an escalation even as he defended the Jewish state´s right to defend itself. Obama also warned Palestinians the crisis could crush peace hopes for years. "Israel has every right to expect that it does not have missiles fired into its territory," Obama said at the start of a three-nation tour in Asia.

Obama´s enmity toward Israel caused this latest Hamas attack. Once he was re-elected they thought they had a free hand.

Israel may be staging troops to clean out the Gaza Strip now that the rockets are reaching Tel Aviv.

FTA: "Israel is at a crossroads of whether to launch a ground invasion or pursue Egyptian-led truce efforts."

´´Egyptian-led truce efforts," for those of you in Rio Linda, is a true oxymoron. And, only a moron would believe that the current Egyptian government, run by the terrorist organization and true friend of Hamas, want peace in the area. What they want is not to cede any land or ´´leaders´´ KIA to the Israelis.

FTA: ""If that can be accomplished without a ramping up of military activity in Gaza, that´s preferable," he said."

0bama seems to believe that wars are fought from the air and not on the ground. The Israelis know better.

Just words - and too little, too late.

Obama and his administration are responsible for this escalation of violence, including the attack and murders in Benghazi, and the horrific violence that is this very instant coming down the tracks aimed at Americans, American allies, and American interests. Our enemies have been persistently coached and comforted and led to believe that they have nothing whatever to fear from us but words. Obama thinks words will do the job against foreign adversaries. All he has ever done is talk, and it has worked for him to persuade millions of American dopes to vote for him, so perhaps it is understandable that he thinks he can talk his way through what is going on in the Middle East now.

Mitch McConnell strode out onto the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday morning, packing heat. The Senate Minority Leader finds himself in an odd position at CPAC. For one, he´s the Republican leader in the Senate and stands to take over as the majority leader next year if some of the audience´s favored candidates win control of blue seats in November. But McConnell is also a five-term senator whose career has largely been characterized by the kind of earmarking that conservatives did away with following the tea-party wave of 2010. President Barack Obama will sharply cut ships, aircraft, and troops as part of a major reduction of U.S. military forces that will face even steeper downsizing in 2016, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced on Monday. The defense cuts, to be announced formally in the president’s budget proposal next month, would reduce U.S. ground forces to their lowest level since World War II at a time when world threats are increasing. The defense secretary outlined the dramatic reductions in a briefing for reporters at the Pentagon. They include significant cuts in Navy shipbuilding and Air Force aircraft purchases, and a 20

I thank my friend Reid Smith for his kind response to my recent op-ed on libertarians and Mitch McConnell. But I think he and some others are overstating what I’m arguing here, perhaps understandably because effective headlines are not nuanced. I’m not saying McConnell is better on an issue-by-issue basis than his primary challenger, Matt Bevin. I don’t think that, in fact. I’m not even saying people should necessarily vote for McConnell over Bevin, though I’m not terribly impressed with the latter and think the former is the least bad of the big five GOP leaders in Congress.

Some supporters of President Obama may be worried about how he and the Democrats are going to fare politically, as the problems of ObamaCare continue to escalate, and it looks like the Republicans have a chance to win a majority in the Senate. Senate Democrats on Thursday blocked a Republican attempt to restore military pensions cut in last month’s budget deal, denying a vote that would save up to $20 billion by closing a loophole that allows tax refunds to go to illegal aliens. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.) called an effort by Sen. A new bill offered in the House of Representatives by Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) would replace pension cuts to military retirees by ending the U.S. Postal Service’s (USPS) delivery of Saturday mail. The proposal would save an estimated $17 billion over 10 years and eliminate a controversial provision in the budget deal passed last month that hit military retirees with a 1 percent decrease in their annual cost-of-living adjustments (COLA). The budget agreement did not cut pensions for federal civilian retirees.

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences.
