Chris Christie pokes fun

Chris Christie has a reputation as a politician who is more willing than most to laugh at himself - and he lived up to that image during a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live last night. The governor of New Jersey played himself during the ´Weekend Update´ segment of the iconic sketch comedy show, and drew big laughs with his self-deprecating performance. The witty and good-natured act could boost his national profile and help his ambition for a run at the White House in 2016. Christie, notable for his large stature as much as his tough-talking demeanour,

He´s about as clever as my Aunt Fannie. He needs to go ahead and switch to being a Rat and save what´s left of his credibility.

Christie´s biggest danger to America is his lack of understanding of Islam. Whether it is willful, honest or mendacious is impossible to say. What can be said from his public remarks is that he does not understand Islam and seriously underestimates the danger it poses to American institutions.

The charm this man appears to possess for many people has always escaped me. He seems to me nothing but a loud-mouthed, ill-mannered, publicity hound with a serious case of pathological obesity. That anyone would even consider him for higher office is something I cannot understand.

Chris Christie started how many GOP pols do...with a strong idea and a backbone. He took on a budgetary nightmare and turned it around, took on the all-powerful teachers unions who make previous govs quake, took on the press and stood up for his ideas. That was once something to admire.
Then high school-itis set in.
It´s been like watching an 80´s movie where the nerd becomes popular before turning into the popular jerk everyone hated.
But this is a real life tragedy...he embraced the man with the triple-six on his forehead.

The last rancher in southern Nevada has won a battle over the federal government´s round up of his cattle on public land after a week-long standoff with agents. The Bureau of Land Management announced today that it would stop trying to seize the cattle of Cliven Bundy after armed militia gathered in Nevada. Shortly after the deal was agreed, about 100 armed protesters, some on horse back, headed to a corral to demand the BLM also hands back cattle it had already taken. Nearly a year into the IRS scandal, we still don´t know exactly what happened—though we are finally getting an inkling. That´s thanks to the letter House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp sent this week to the Justice Department recommending a criminal probe of Lois Lerner. The average citizen might be dizzied by the torrent of confusing terms—BOLO lists, Tigta, 501(c)(4)—and the array of accusations that have made up this IRS investigation. Mr. Camp´s letter takes a step back to remind us why this matters, even as it provides compelling new information that goes to motive and method—and clarifies some of

Jones of the Federal District Court of Nevada smacked down high-handed, abusive feds, sending the pretend cowboys riding roughshod over Western ranchers and property owners back to their cobweb-laced offices in 2013. In spite of their 200 armed snipers with boy toys in tow, those Stetson-wearing feds hunkering down on Cliven
