The Gingerbread Man
American Thinker, by Clarice Feldman

Original Article

Posted By:steveW, 11/18/2012 3:55:44 AM

Do you remember the tale of "The Gingerbread Man"? It´s a children´s story in which a gingerbread man runs away from the baker, lots of people try to catch him as he crows, "Run, run as fast as you can/ You can´t catch me I´m the gingerbread man." In the version I remember a fox finally does catch the braggart and eats him piece by piece. This week, in defending the public statements of his UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Obama said we should come after him, not her. Pugnacious remark -- just like the gingerbread man´s.

Comments:
A dead ambassador. A reelected "president". An impeachable offense.
And yet, the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam...

Holy Moly... what a tangled web of lies!

Clarice is right: it is up to Congress to press forth on the investigation & impeachment. The BIG question: are our guys up to it? Does anyone love America enough to fight for her ideals?

Turner Movies aired ´The Apartment´ today, with Jack Lemmon & Shirley McClaine. Released in 1960, it seems like a million years ago. Jack Lemmon is confronted by the same delimma: do I cover for my lying boss and get promoted, or do the right thing, and get fired?

Doing the ´right´ thing is often the hardest to do.

Are they,(the Congress)´up to it,Clarice rhetorically asks. Are we the people up to it? I think the answer in both cases is a resounding and discouraged no. We the people lap up made-for-daytime TV sex scandals, but have no stomach for the more sinister underpinnings. Bread and Circuses.

With the msm continuing to ignore BenghaziGate, it will be squarely on Boehner´s shoulders to expose the lies via committee hearings and to catch the Gingerbread Man. But, they must strike while the iron is hot. What would be helpful is for the investigation to examine communications between Obie and the msm so we can get a glimpse of the White House narratives that were passed to the msm so they could ignore Benghazi using a consistent approach.

The obvious first step for the House in order to get to the bottom of the Benghazi lies and cover-ups is to replace Boehner with Ryan.

But it seems that only Republican transgressions are aggressively pursued by the press anyway.

All we can hope for now is that the gingerbread man will throw the press under the bus with all the others. Because unlike the CIA, FBI and all diplomats, the press doesn´t take their paycheck from the gingerbread man and should feel no obligation to lie for him. So perhaps if the press could feel thrown under the bus, the thrill up their leg would subside, and they WOULD DO THEIR STINKIN´ JOB to save this republic.

Actually, there very well could be an impeachment. The House votes to impeach. The Senate then votes to remove. Bill Clinton was in fact impeached. And that did limit and restricted the scope of what he did in the remaining years of his second term. The same is possible with Obama.

In the recent election, it became obvious that many of our elected representatives are really selected. By voter fraud. And the MSM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party. Increasingly, FOX has become part of that MSM.

Is there anything We The People can do to make the truth known and to hold evildoers to account?

Under a libertarian president we would not be about to go over a fiscal cliff, We would mired in no foreign entanglements, obligated to mo crowns. We would police no one, least of all ourselves. We would rid of income tax, standing armies. Money would belong to free individuals. The government would stand out of the way of commerce, the only real holy granted us by the almighty. We would free to raise our children as we saw fit, and not have to send them off to foreign lands to die for any elected blusterer. We are meant to free.

#8, clever. Now let´s hope FoxNews stays with the story, though other so-called news organizations let it fade (after they failed to grab Benghazi by the teeth in the first place).

With the brilliant reporting by Jennifer Griffin and Catherine Herridge, I suspect that FoxNews execs are able see the bigger picture, and won´t let go.

Remember how the Watergate scandal (a relatively small matter, by comparison to Benghazi) took months to develop into The Political Crime of the Century.

The best we can hope for is for Chaffez, Gomert, Gowdy, DeMint, to add Cruz to the vocal voices of the House and Senate. These men are not afraid to make what are not P.C. comments. Perhaps it might give a few others on the House and Senate committees investigating these matters a bit of backbone.
All of the investigations will have to begin anew once the new Congress is sworn in. Time for them to stop pussy-footing around and convict Holder for Fast and Furious and obama for gun-running in Lybia and Syria. Associations of the WH, State and anyone else with the Muslim Brotherhood needs to be flushed out as well.

# 24 Blacks only make up 13 % of the population, although I bet they think they make up 80%.
So, riots would only be in limited areas , not nationwide.
Obama has never answered
for his very restrictive rules of engagement in Afghanistan
which has limited the ability of
our troops to defend themselves.
And set up the record number of US troop deaths since he became CINC.
Another fact ignored by the media.
Obama was also MIA ala Benghazi during the attempted bombing of a NWA jet on Christmas Day 2009.
He was made aware three hours after the jet landed in Detroit.
Three hours ! Another fact ignored by the media.
I bet this guy is often missing because he´s drunk or doped up or otherwise engaged.
Reggie Love was definitely with him on Christmas Day 2009.
The House has an obligation to investigate Obama´s bizarre behavior
on so many fronts .
The media never will , other than the two women at FOX.
Lying , covering up and being derelict appears to
meet the threshold of impeachment.
The Senate will never convict and remove, but, the House has the moral and legal obligation to consider impeachment.

True it’s a culture war, not a physical conflict. But if you were waiting for the moment when the Cold Civil War actually begins, this might be it. Not that anyone should have been taken aback. After all, Larry Summers was sacked as president of Harvard following his criticism of Cornell West’s rap album and as a result of a 2005 speech in which he suggested that the under-representation

One of the sillier effusions of pop political correctness is the attempt to bully the idea of female beauty out of the culture. Ceaseless attacks on Barbie dolls for giving girls unrealistic expectations (though, strange to say, Superman doesn’t do that to boys), or virtuous but likely ineffective campaigns to sell underwear with overweight models, not to mention the endless feminist maundering on the subject — it all seems part of yet another wearisome leftist attempt to change basic reality through thuggery, censorship and noisy protest. President Obama is using Pope Francis to foster wealth redistribution ideas in his speeches on the importance of reducing the gap between rich and poor. Now that the President’s message of “Hope and Change” has drastically soured over his last few years in office, Obama is hoping the popular pontiff’s vitality will rub off on him. It is a tactic as old as argument itself. The person seeking to accomplish something he knows to be dishonest and unjust sets the parameters of the argument, and invites his opponent to debate the predetermined memes. If the debater does not first disown the false premise, and reset the terms, he has effectively lost from the outset. In the case of ObamaCare, the premise is that our healthcare system was irretrievably "broken." Congress had to step in and "fix" healthcare. Of course, this was a ruse for the easy marks. Charles Krauthammer has come to my rescue. You see, I’ve been on the receiving end of some spirited reaction since asserting in last weekend’s column that what we commonly call the Republican establishment — i.e., not all individual Republicans but GOP leadership — “is more sympathetic to Obama’s case for the welfare state than to the Tea Party’s case for limited government and individual liberty.” The statement may have been provocative in the sense of expressing a truth that people on the political Right prefer not to talk about. But it was not controversial because it is indisputably true.

After the latest dismal performance by congressional Republicans in their battle (a generous description) with the president and his minions over the budget and ObamaCare, it´s time to ask, "Why the Republican Party?" According to the media´s current narrative, it has to rid itself of the Tea Party´s influence or die. The saddest of facts is that the media narrative is shared by many establishment Republicans.

Let’s take a step back and recognize the breadth and width of the Obama administration’s assault on the US economy. We tend to divide ourselves along economic lines, upper, middle and lower or working class. It’s clear that Barack Obama has a plan for all three levels. If you’re a top earner, in his mind you’ve “made enough money” and should pay more in taxes. That’s his plan for the wealthy: Pay more taxes. This will take some money out of investments and companies and send it to the government. Some jobs will be either lost or aborted.
