Obama´s Economy:
What We´ve Learned
Since Re-election

Obama II: In the "now they tell us" file, add a vast array of reports that have come out since the election showing just how weak the economy really is. Looks like the president will need a new scapegoat soon. Here´s just a sampling of what we´ve learned since voters decided to give Obama four more years to "experiment" with the economy. Earnings falling: The Labor Dept. reported on Thursday that real average hourly earnings dropped again in October for the third month in a row...

In the week before the election, both Bloomberg Business News and CNN had articles on, "Will Romney Inherit the Obama Recovery?" Theme of both stories was that after a slow start, Obama as the economy percolating, and Romney, of elected, will take credit for this.

Last para n this depressing article: Obama got re-elected largely by blaming Bush for everything bad that happened during his first term. So who´s he going to blame now?

Easy answer: Bush.

It has been speculated that the way the Obama regime will finish off America is by wiping out small business, as that is the last engine of freedom and without that, America will not arise as a world power again.

Where we are in he era of Obama:

For good reason the minority believe that the POTUS is actively out to destroy this country. He is either excellent at accomplishing this or he´s completely incompetent at running the country. Either way the result is the same.

The majority of voters don´t care about this as long as they can feel cool, and/or their benefits don´t run out and when the money does dry up they´ll blame someone other than the real culprits.

Yup, we´ve over the hill. I´m glad out ancestors aren´t here to see this.

We have always known that O. was out to destroy the country. It is still puzzling that the cowardly press is "all in" for the destruction. They do not care how much the people suffer, how high the Misery Index is, all they care about is the image of the rock star faux potus.

Our country has been destroyed by the unholy alliance of the regime and the press.

The Obama voter is the one who typically thinks that a successful person is one who is just lucky or has "had all the breaks." The Obama voter is the one who probably cut class to smoke weed while the nerdy guy studied, and of course, he made the nerdy guy´s life hell. The quiet, hard-working people who have their priorities straight are in the minority now. But the Obama voter would take everything away from them in the interests of "fairness."

Bias: How much abuse will the mainstream media take before they stand up for themselves? When the abuse comes from the Obama administration, their tolerance appears to be unlimited. This week, for example, two things happened that should have sent reporters into a frenzy of outrage. First, there were reports that the Obama administration has effectively crippled the Freedom of Information Act, despite Obama´s promise of unequaled transparency. Nearly half the federal agencies got an F grade for FOIA compliance, according to a Center for Effective Government report. And Cause of Action discovered that the administration had created a new FOIA exemption,

Why Is the ObamaCare Mandate So Toothless?

Health Care: Some think Democrats designed ObamaCare to fail so they could get to a single payer system. Seems a bit extreme. But it does help explain why they made the individual mandate so easy to avoid. According to ObamaCare´s architects, the individual mandate is key to making the law work. The mandate is supposed to force young and healthy people to enroll so they can subsidize premiums for the older and sicker. Otherwise, ObamaCare rates will spiral out of control. (Which already appears to be happening, according to TheHill.com.) The mandate is also supposed to prevent gaming the system — wherein people

President Obama gave a speech recently in which he, as he almost always does, patted himself on the back for what he described as a solid record on the economy. "We´ve now seen over four years of economic growth," he said. "We´ve seen 8.5 million new jobs created. We´ve seen the housing market bounce back. We´ve seen an auto industry that has come roaring back. We´ve seen manufacturing return for the first time since the 1990s." Obamaphiles in the press typically repeat these claims, arguing that, given the mess he inherited, no one could have done any better. But is that true? And

Health Care: The administration issued new rules last week to spare President Obama more political damage from his phony "keep your doctor" promise. But in so doing, they´ve set in motion another ObamaCare rate shock. Soon after enrolling in ObamaCare, many people discovered the high cost of believing Obama´s promises. Not only were millions required to change plans, but many learned that their "new-and-improved" ObamaCare plans forced them to give up their doctors and hospitals, too. Turns out that insurers — desperate to keep premiums as low as they could in the face of ObamaCare´s costly benefit mandates, taxes and

Health Care: ObamaCare is turning out like the nine-headed Hydra monster of Greek mythology. Every time President Obama tries to lop off one of its failures, two more emerge. The move helped solve a huge political problem Obama himself created when he first made it possible for some people to keep plans they liked. Economy: When not making excuses for President Obama´s dismal economic record, liberals try to explain away Texas´ stellar growth. But what choice do they have? The Lone Star State proves limited government works. After Gov. Economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman called it the "Texas Unmiracle." Time magazine dismissed Texas´ burgeoning growth as mere luck. To say that President Obama is not an enthusiastic backer of the two Medicare programs that offer seniors private insurance options would be something of an understatement. Over the years, Obama has repeatedly derided Medicare Advantage — the program that lets seniors enroll in subsidized, private insurance. He once called it "wasteful," and said it amounted to "giveaways that boost insurance company profits but don´t make (seniors) any healthier." Obama has been equally harsh when it comes to Medicare Part D — the drug benefit President Bush signed into law that relies on privately run plans. In his 2006 book,

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the sweeping acceptance of gay marriage in recent years is owed in large part to Christianity. Rejecting the rigidly hierarchical and stratified societies of the ancient world, Jesus Christ taught the equal dignity of all persons, proclaimed that the meek shall inherit the earth, and declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The Western world has been working out the logic of these subversive teachings ever since, with the institutional transformation of marriage being the latest, though surely not the last, example of its social, moral,

Renee Ellmers (R-NC) berated a group of local activists who oppose amnesty legislation, suggesting they were racist and saying they didn´t have “any damn facts.” “You´re telling me what people have told you? You don´t have any damn facts!” Ellmers exploded at one of the activists when he said that employers – who often claim a labor shortage to argue for amnesty – frequently don´t post job openings in that region.
