On Friday, another shot was fired by conservative supporters of fast-food companies claiming to chafe under the requirements of Obamacare. Rebooting America, a small but vocal group formed after the Nov. 6 election, has designated Friday as National Papa John´s Appreciation Day. The announcement was made in support of Papa John´s CEO John Schnatter´s recent statement that the Affordable Care Act may prompt the pizza chain to raise prices and cut employees´ hours in order to keep them from qualifying for health care. Through the Twitter hashtag #IStandWithPapaJohns, the group is urging people to rush out and buy Papa John´s

I belong to Papas Rewards, order online, and every once on a while get a free pizza. Our franchise also has specials, a topping for each redskins touchdown, 50% off on a Nationals or Wizards win by X number of points, etc. the franchise in Broken Arrow OK has no specials. I´m loyal to my Papa Johns, the people in Broken Arrow aren´t. Papa John tries, and is realistic. Now, I will support him more.

This is the tip of the iceberg. An economic tsunami is coming and there won´t be enough time or liberals to boycott them all. God Bless Papa John´s for at least being honest.

We had our Friday night pizza from Papa John´s like we always do. The expected delivery time was hour and a half to two hours. Usual delivery time is about 30 minutes. Our guy made it in one hour. Pizza was hot, steaming and good. The delivery guy was smiling about how busy he was tonight.

Wasn´t sure we had a Pappa John´s here but we do. So I will be stopping by tomorrow for a support pizza.

The one bad thing about businesses cutting hours and layoffs is that it´s going to run the unemployment rate sky high. On the other hand it´s better than a business closing.

However, I won´t feel sorry for any business closing if they are run by Union Thugs, such as Hostess.

BROOKLYN - Spike Lee saw it coming way back in the 1980´s. The Brooklyn raised director made his feelings on gentrification clear in his 1988 movie “Do The Right Thing.” So, following a lecture in honor of African American history month at Pratt Institute Tuesday night, Lee went off on an audience member when asked about the positive side of gentrification. “You just can’t come in the neighborhood,” said Lee. “I’m for democracy and letting everybody live but you gotta have some respect. Instead of feeling your pain, Harry Reid stood on the Senate floor to tell millions of Americans impacted by skyrocketing premiums, incompetent administration, and policy cancellations from the implementation of the Affordable Care Act that they don’t really feel pain at all. Missouri executed its fourth inmate in as many months early Wednesday, even as the issue of capital punishment has sparked a new and reshaped political debate in the state and across the country. The Midwestern state has become a key battleground: As lethal-injection drug supplies have been disrupted, states have been scrambling to adapt, and Missouri lawmakers from both sides of the aisle aren’t happy with what they say is excessive secrecy about the process and questions about whether the sentences are being competently carried out. The issue crosses party lines. Missouri’s Democratic governor and attorney general are both pro-death

A new report shows that as many as 125,000 young California immigrants may qualify for an expansion of Medi-Cal, the state´s Medicaid program. The Affordable Care Act bars insurance subsidies and enrollment in the Medicaid expansion for undocumented immigrants, but a wrinkle in California rules does offer coverage for those with "deferred action status." The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program was created by President Obama in 2012 to grant immigrants who came to the country illegally as children -- sometimes called Dreamers -- legal status and work authorization for two-year periods. The price on contracts for March delivery jumped to $6.22 per million British thermal units in early trading before settling at $6.15 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was the highest price since late 2009. Behind the run-up: expectations that the cold weather that´s plagued the Midwest and Northeast and parts of other regions since December will linger, keeping demand high. Alexandria, Virginia - Ruthanne Lodato´s killer announced himself with a knock at the door. He waited on the porch, standing beside the American flag that hangs outside the house, and when the 59-year-old music teacher answered he shot her to death in her own hallway. The man then turned the gun on her elderly mother´s caretaker, wounding her before walking down the garden path and back onto the street. Mrs Lodato´s murder, committed seemingly at random and in broad daylight at 11.30am, would on its own be enough to unsettle the city of Alexandria, a wealthy suburb of Washington DC.
