In victory, Obama remains
hostile and evasive

Obama´s first post-election press conference, if you could call it that, tells us a great deal about his attitude and the approach he intends to pursue in his second term, which is the same failed policy mix on steroids. Obama´s re-election, of course, gives him the right to pursue these policies, but it doesn´t deny elected Republicans the right or relieve them of the duty to oppose them. If Obama can glean any intelligible mandate from his victory, it is that relentless negative campaigning, demagoguery, divisive identity politics, deceit and superior political

I would only add "0bama remains even more hostile and evasive." He´s going to go full throttle to the left.

I got the impression in the last months that he was looking forward to losing. This job is way over his pay grade. No wonder he´s angry. He has to work for a change.

What no one wants to mention is that the community organizer in chief has never had a job which resulted in producing a product to sell for a profit and which provides a better life for all involved in the production.
Rather his experience is to extort money from the general public, to use for political payoffs such as public works projects performed by unionized workers, or education grants to hire more unionized teachers and administrators.
His vote buying has resulted in a reelection by a skewed majority which he takes as a mandated to continue along thesame path to the destruction of our capitalist republic.

Obama supporters, i.e. the liberal establishment and the urban lumpenproletariat, will have to see and experience for themselves the consequences of his misguided policies. Naturally he will try his best to lay the blame for his failures on others. This may well succeed for a while - but given the magnitude of his misunderstandings and the corresponding severity of their results, I do not think this will be possible for long. It is a remarkable situation. Almost everything Obama and other "progressives" think they know about the world and how it works is wrong, and not only wrong, but wrong in 180 degrees. They have it all backwards. Their policies, therefore, will not merely fail to achieve the desired results, they will ensure disastrous unintended results. Since such progressives are dogmatists they are incapable of learning from their mistakes and will only compound and worsen them when things begin to go wrong. All of this will be educational to a substantial number of Americans, so much so that we may be done with such "progressivism" for many years to come - until the lessons of history are once more forgotten and they have to be learned all over again by a new generation.

"Liberalism is a mental disorder" has been posited many times. The fact that liberals cannot be gracious even in victory certainly fits that description.

Obama is a man of only average intelligence, and his life has been spent learning how to manipulate people. He decided to forsake knowledge for ideology and stopped thinking. This is what Talleyrand meant when he defined the Hapsburgs as having learned nothing nor forgotten anything.

With the Boston Marathon bombings less than 24 hours old, some on Capitol Hill are beginning to say the attack shows why Congress should’ve stopped automatic spending cuts from taking hold in March. House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), speaking to reporters Tuesday morning, said the bombings are “clearly another place where it demonstrates why having the ability to address security concerns is important.” Hoyer added: “I think there are multiple reasons for ensuring that we invest in our security both domestic and international security. In the aftermath of Monday’s horrific events at the Boston Marathon, only one thing is certain — for the next week or so, our television screens will be filled with a creature known as the “terrorism expert.” But what exactly is a “terrorism expert” and what qualifies one to be one? Operational knowledge of an AK-47? Intimate familiarity with the Damascus bazaar? Fluency in Arabic? (But that would be profiling, wouldn’t it?) CNN has its own in-house terrorism expert in Peter Bergen, aka their “national security analyst.” Mr. Bergen popped up on Jake Tapper’s The Lead

Sen. Marco Rubio’s plan for a 10- to 13-year path to citizenship for illegal immigrants is “consistent” with President Obama’s principles, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Monday. Mr. Carney’s comment suggested the president would sign off on the plan, but he cautioned that the White House would withhold support for any legislation until seeing the final language. Mr. Carney did say that the details of Mr. Rubio’s plan as reported so far are “consistent with the president’s position.” Mr. Rubio said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union with Candy Crowley” that an immigration reform plan

The Senate’s Gang of Eight on Tuesday released the details of a broad agreement to overhaul the nation’s immigration laws. The legislation would give provisional legal status to an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants and put them on a pathway to citizenship but only after a list of criteria for securing the U.S.-Mexico border are achieved. It sets goals of persistent surveillance in high-risk areas along the Southern border — sectors where more than 30,000 individuals are apprehended trying to enter the country illegally per year — and a 90-percent effectiveness rate for apprehensions in high-risk sectors.

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.
