Christie agrees Romney
comments were ´wrong´,
calls on GOP to pivot

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Daniel Strauss

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/16/2012 10:00:01 AM

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Friday that Mitt Romney’s comments that President Obama won the election by giving groups “gifts” were wrong. Romney said he agreed with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R), who said the comments were "absolutely wrong," but avoided directly criticizing Romney. He also said it was time to pivot from the election and move on. “I always hate this kind of scapegoating after the election. When you lose, you lost. Someone asked me, ´Why did Mitt Romney lose?´ I said because he got less votes than Barack Obama. That´s why,”

Comments:
And what exactly does that mean?? I´m so tired of the worthless decription "pivot."

Romney was exactly right and as the only republican to tell it like it is has gone up in my estimation. The U.S. has become a country of parasites who are afraid their government money might be cut off by the republicans. He was also exactly right when it came to 47% not being worth his time and trouble. I think he genuinely tried to reach out to them, but ran into the very brick wall he predicted.

Christie´s statement is factually false.
Didn´t fool me. 53% of Americans were not fooled by Christie´s words or Jindal´s words.

We hope to see less of him in the coming years. Mitt Romney is dead-on right about what he said. When you feed, clothe, house, telephone and give free stuff and promise ease of conditions without earning any of it, you ALWAYS get their vote.

In swing states, Obama used Romney´s "47%" comment in tv/radio ads with disabled vets, nursing home residents & hospitalized elderly. They were very devastating. Romney was never suggesting taking away our social safety net, so why make or support statements that can be used as a sledgehammer against you?

Morell is set to testify publicly for the first time on Wednesday about his role in crafting the controversial Benghazi "talking points," which initially blamed a protest for the deadly attack. The White House took steps Friday toward issuing methane emissions regulations at hydraulic fracturing sites, a move that would slash greenhouse gas emissions in hopes of meeting President Obama´s climate goals but will invite backlash from industry. The news is a victory for environmental groups, which note that methane -- a short-lived, potent greenhouse gas that has a 20 times greater impact on climate change than carbon dioxide -- is the largest remaining unregulated greenhouse gas, accounting for 9 percent of U.S. emissions. The oil and gas industry, however, has warned that regulating methane emissions would stunt domestic energy production by raising
