Next-Gen GOP Leaders Slam Romney
for ´Gift´ Remarks

Big Government, by Willilam Bigelow

Original Article

Posted By:trapper, 11/15/2012 8:58:44 PM

The new spiritual leaders of the Republican Party have come out swinging against Mitt Romney for his controversial remarks on a donor conference call about why Barack Obama won reelection. According to the New York Times, Romney said Obama had followed the “old playbook” of using targeted initiatives to woo specific interest groups — “especially the African-American community, the Hispanic community and young people.”

Comments:
First, who made Jindahl, Rubio, and Scott our "spiritual leaders"? Second, according to Gov. Scott of Florida "we want to take care of every citizen in our state.” Really? THAT is now what Republicans stand for? Sigh.

I´ll repeat it here: If Rubio and Jindal are the "Next-Gen GOP" then we need to skip a generation.

I like Rubio, but he´s starting to get on my nerves, and never cared for Jindal at all and wouldn´t vote for him if he was running for dog catcher

Romney please go away awhile and let us lick our wounds. Take orca with you.

The future of the republican party, the conservative movement and this country does not run through Barb Bush´s rolodex.

This is the ideas wing of the party, not the party of connections, prep school ties and well financed Wall Street acquaintances. They grew up on Reagan and Kemp, not the middle of the road free shrimp and merlot country club republicanism of Rockfeller and Bush.
2010 and the T party movement was born out of frustration and disgust not only with Obama, but with the republican party establishment that views middle America as weird, church going rubes who are only there for pandering. No more Bushes, or Bush surrogates, no more Romneys. The ideas articulated by other presidential candidates caught attention, generated discussion and provided meaningful contrast to the Obama administration, even without the help of the media.
The times, they are a changin.

Romney was right. Marco and Bobby are talking to their base now that the 2012 election is over. Why don´t they hone in on all the irregularities of the vote before they start criticizing the Candidate? Romney´s biggest problem was the same as George W. Bush´s problem - he was too nice. I just wish he would have been more aggressive. I really was hoping to have a lovely First Lady - one who really could relate to people.

The GOP is somewhat to blame, too. Mainly Romney´s advisers who also advised McCain really lost the election for us. Schmidt and the woman (can´t remember her name)went by the 2008 playbook instead of making a new one for 2012.

Rubio is not a natural-born citizen, therefore, not qualified for the presidency.

What Romney said was true, PC or not. Why the heck are we concentrating on what he says now anyway? Has he not been excoriated enough? Can the GOP only make itself stronger by attempting to tear down a candidate that the MSM and Democrats already have? Losing strategy and it sickens me.

Romney really tone deaf to the feelings of Republicans right now. Dana Perino actually said it today "Go away Mitt. Enjoy your vacation." Keep mouth closed.

I´ve got a better idea, instead of becoming democrats why don´t we educate the public on liberty, freedom and the free market. Let´s take back our schools, let´s take down the liberal media, let´s take over the Republican party leadership positions at all levels instead of complaining about it being run by the elits.

The Spaniards already boast some of the weirdest festivals in the world, such as the bull running of Pamplona and the world’s biggest tomato fight, but this one definitely tops the list. The annual Jarramplas Festival in Piornal involves hundreds of villagers attacking a man dressed in a devils mask with 15,000 turnips. The best part? No-one really knows why. A young man from the village is selected to be the 'Jarramplas' - the scape goat - and dresses up in a costume made from colourful strips of fabric, donning a devil-like mask with great horns and nose.

And I mean absurd in the most literal sense. We all know that the U.S. tax code is riddled with "loopholes", exemptions and deductions intended to incentivize certain activities. Many of these are of dubious provenance and questionable utility. But, there is one that is particularly ridiculous. As in, how can this possibly be thought of as a loophole? But, to the technocrats in the federal government, the tax you don´t have to pay on the value of rent you don´t have to pay because you own your home is a loophole. Read that last sentence again. The fourth man was Sean Smith, father of three, an Air Force veteran, working for the State Department in Libya.

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Newtown killer Adam Lanza may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an “act of revenge,” the Daily News has learned. A close friend of Lanza’s mother told The News that the troubled boy was a target of relentless bullying when he attended the Connecticut school years ago. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge,” said Marvin LaFontaine, a friend of Nancy Lanza’s. “Nancy told me he was being picked on at school. That they were just torturing him.”
