Reuters Celebrates ´Feisty´
Obama´s Second-Term Agenda

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by Warner Todd Huston

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/15/2012 10:43:26 AM

On Wednesday, November 14, President Obama held his first full-scale press conference and, despite continuing to speak in generalities, Reuters was impressed by the revelation of his second-term agenda. The President was "feisty" yet "conciliatory," Reuters claimed. Reuters led its piece with Obama´s gave a "feisty defense" of U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice. It was Rice who was one of the loudest, early voices claiming that the attacks in Benghazi that killed four Americans was the result of some unknown Youtube video -- a claim solidly proven false soon after the attacks occurred.

Sorry. I saw him as arrogant and testy, as always.

Yeah feisty. Just like Clinton´s defense in the Monica Lewinski case. Lying, arrogant, corrupt but feisty.

´Feisty´? A term frequently used to describe an old lady (in which case, yes, I suppose it would be an apt description of Obama).

President Obama on Friday revisited the conspiracy theory over his birth certificate and whether he was born in the U.S., calling the issue “crazy stuff.” Obama brought up his birth certificate during a speech at the National Action Network’s annual conference in New York, as he hammered more stringent voter ID laws that force citizens to provide more documentation before getting access to the ballot box. “I know where my birth certificate is but a lot of people don’t,” said Obama, prompting laughter from the audience. “I think its up on a website somewhere,” he added. “You remember that,” he

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama paid $98,169 in taxes on $481,098 income last year, according to tax returns the White House released Friday. They paid an effective federal income tax rate of 20.4 percent. The couple´s 2013 federal income tax return was posted on the White House website four days before the tax filing deadline. The 42-page document shows the Obamas reported donating $59,251 to 32 charities. That works out to 12.3 percent of their adjusted gross income. Their largest charitable gift, $8,751, went to the Fisher House Foundation, which supports military families. The Obamas also released their

Joining MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell on Friday, senior White House advisor Valerie Jarrett was asked if the resignation of Health and Human Services Sec. Kathleen Sebelius signaled that the implementation of the Affordable Care Act would be smooth going forward. Jarrett said that neither she nor the president could guarantee that the implementation of the ACA would be perfect, but that it was an important task to improve Americans’ access to health insurance. “Going forward, do you think your past all of the bumps on health care on the rollout and that from now going forward you can change the dynamic?”

Recently elected Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is warning that global warming could raise sea levels high enough to flood the Hampton Roads region, home to the world´s largest naval base, without immediate and “smart decisions.” Addressing an environmental summit this week at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., McAuliffe embraced climate change, blamed humans for causing it, and said action is needed now to protect Virginia´s coast from rising ocean levels that will result from global warming. “The first big decision of course is to accept that climate change is real,” he told the group. “I happen to believe in

Cable news and the Internet have many things in common, one of which is that they are both populated by lots of shameless attention-seekers. Perhaps it’s time to count the supposed Democratic House “candidate” Mike Dickinson — he of “war on Fox News” fame — as one of them? Dickinson has made a bit of a name for himself this year by claiming that, if elected to Eric Cantor‘s House seat, he will wage war on the NRA, the tea party, and Fox News. Since then, he’s been in multiple Twitter wars and has appeared on Fox for confrontations with

WASHINGTON -- A still-secret Senate Intelligence Committee report calls into question the legal foundation of the CIA’s use of waterboarding and other harsh interrogation techniques on suspected terrorists, a finding that challenges the key defense on which the agency and the Bush administration relied in arguing that the methods didn’t constitute torture. The report also found that the spy agency failed to keep an accurate account of the number of individuals it held, and that it issued erroneous claims about how many it detained and subjected to the controversial interrogation methods. The CIA has said that about 30 detainees underwent

A new review is questioning the effectiveness of two key drugs enlisted in the fight against influenza and in turn the investments by governments to stockpile the drugs in the event of a global flu outbreak. The antiviral drugs Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir ) are commonly used to treat influenza in healthy adults and children. In the case of Tamiflu, the drug does shorten symptoms of influenza by about half a day - as the manufacturer suggests - but there is insufficient evidence to support claims that it reduces hospital admissions or serious complications, such as confirmed pneumonia or

Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle. Michael Parker and Flora Chang, at Sanford Bernstein, say we entering a new order of "global energy deflation" that must ineluctably erode the viability of oil, gas and the fossil fuel nexus over time.
