| We´re only in year three of the 2010s, but already the outrage of the decade has been committed. This outrage involves the subject of race, but don´t expect the likes of Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson to weigh in on this one. You won´t hear a peep from any other black misleader either. Those outraged -- and righly so -- by the February shooting of teenager Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., won´t get their noses even a smidgen out of joint about this outrage, since it´s been committed by someone who has privileged victim status.

The bigger question here is why the parents of young teens would permit their daughters anywhere near a locker room inhabited by a ´transgender´ who is still anatomically male. Let´s stop being pushed around by the lunatics.

Obama´s nanny is a man who pretends to be a woman - he calls himself "Evie". These sort of people have a 41 percent suicide rate. They often mutilate themselves in an attempt to remove their sexual organs. I believe we will pay for this mutilation under the new health insurance laws.

I´ve got a friend who is transgender. He´s actually a nice guy, but very troubled. He has a drinking problem along with everything else. He´d never do anything like this. I pray for him. The guy at Evergreen sounds like a jerk and a pervert.

These things you remember from 1959, Mr. Kane, were perpetrated by ... wait for it...democrats!. The same people you support in the elections. No, they haven´t changed. They still want to keep you enslaved, but on a different plantation; a financial one. And they are doing it, and making you enjoy it.

I recall a case about 20 years ago, where a male English professor underwent a sex change operation so that he could have lesbian relationships with women. The world is spinning, wildly, and I am but a confused observor.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — George Jones, the peerless, hard-living country singer who recorded dozens of hits about good times and regrets and peaked with the heartbreaking classic He Stopped Loving Her Today, has died. He was 81. Publicist Kirt Webster says Jones died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after being hospitalized with fever and irregular blood pressure. Known for his clenched, precise baritone, Jones had No. 1 songs in five separate decades, 1950s to 1990s, and was idolized not just by fellow country singers, but by Frank Sinatra, Pete Townshend, Elvis Costello, James Taylor and countless others.

Boston The heart-wrenching photographs taken in the moments after the Boston Marathon bombings show the blue-and-yellow jackets of volunteers, police officers, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians, even a three-foot-high blue M&M. Conspicuously absent are any clerical collars or images of pastoral care. This was not for lack of proximity. Close to the bombing site are Trinity Episcopal Church, Old South Church and St. Clement Eucharistic Shrine, all on Boylston Street. When the priests at St. Clement´s, three blocks away, heard the explosions, they gathered sacramental oils and hurried to the scene in hopes of anointing the injured

Secretary of State John Kerry suggested yesterday that Boston bomber Tamarlan Tsarnaev became a terrorist when he traveled to Russia in 2011: “We just had a young person who went to Russia, Chechnya, who blew people up in Boston,” he said. “So he didn’t stay where he went, but he learned something where he went and he came back with a willingness to kill people.” Of course it’s not yet clear what happened on Tsarnaev’s trip to Russia — he may have had direct contact with terrorist groups there, but we don’t know that yet. Does Kerry know something

Many commentators have criticized the Obama administration for prosecuting Dzhokhar Tsarnaev criminally, which entailed giving him Miranda rights and providing him with a lawyer. But apart from the wisdom, in principle, of promptly commencing a criminal prosecution in this case, the sequence of events raises obvious questions about what the administration is up to. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured last Friday evening. At that time, his condition was described as critical. He had been shot multiple times, had lost a great deal of blood, and doubt was expressed as to whether he would live. Nevertheless, by Monday morning,

You have heard the words. You know the narrative. Let’s not rush to judgment. These were lone wolves. They were self-radicalized. The system worked. The dots were connected. Osama Bin Laden is dead; GM is alive. Al Qaeda is a shadow of its former self. It is time for nation building at home. Add up all of those lone wolves, however, and pretty soon you have a pack. Which may be one reason the reaction of some liberals to last week’s terror attack has been so bizarre: The bombing of the Boston Marathon by two radical

As the 2012 presidential election drew to a close, Mitt Romney made the rounds in the important state of Pennsylvania with a closing message: “The president has run a strong campaign, I believe he is a good man and wish him well, and his family well. He is a good father and has been a good example of a good father, but it is time for a new direction.(Snip) The mainstream press coverage of the Bush presidency was not a sober record of history as it developed but rather a daily expression of the Kerry-Gore-Obama attitude toward the president.

The word in TV newsrooms has long been that “if it bleeds, it leads,” meaning that a crime story is often the fastest way to get media attention and coverage. It doesn’t even have to be bloody — witness the wall-to-wall coverage of the Jerry Sandusky sexual-assault case at Penn State last year. But the trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, currently America’s most grisly serial killer, has been an exception. Two weeks ago, Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers dropped a bomb on the mainstream media when she called them to account for failing to adequately report

Suppose the marathon bombings had been committed by born-again Christian Tea Party members on the dole. Do you really think that Gov. Deval Patrick would be hanging on to those terrorists’ welfare files even tighter than he clutches Lt. Gov. Tim Murray’s state cellphone logs from the morning of Nov. 3, 2011? If these were “domestic” terrorists, I guarantee you Deval would have coughed up everything by now, up to and including whether they were getting on-the-arm brand-name or generic prescription drugs. Hey Deval, I’ve got some news for you. Tamerlan doesn’t care if you release his welfare records.

The Boston bombers’ mother bizarrely claimed in interviews that the blasts that killed three people and injured more than 200 were nothing more than an elaborate ruse by the US government. “There was paint instead of blood!” a wild-eyed Zubeidat Tsarnaeva insisted in an interview with CNN. “It is some kind of show, spectacle . . . something like a really big play performed by actors.” And the bombers’ father, Anzor Tsarnaev, joined her at a press conference in Makhachkala, the capital of the Russian republic of Dagestan, where they demanded an investigation

Virgin America kicked off its new Los Angeles to Las Vegas route this week. That in itself isn´t too newsworthy — plenty of airlines make the short hop from the City of Angels to Sin City. But the new in-flight option Virgin rolled out along with the new route has people talking — maybe even hooking up. The "seat-to-seat delivery" service lets Virgin passengers use their seat´s in-flight entertainment console to order a cocktail, a snack, or even a meal for a flier in any seat in the cabin. Chemical weapons — the ‘red line’ which President Obama said he would so resolutely oppose — have emerged in Syria. Blood tests have confirmed the exposure of patients in hospitals to these weapons. Readers will recall that President Obama issued a stern warning against their use. Now they’ve been used. The problem is now how ignore them. The National Journal’s article is headlined: “Obama Is Looking for Reasons to Delay Response to Syria’s Chemical Weapons Use.” It would seem to add up to certain U.S. military action: On Thursday, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel confirmed the findings

"As long as we´ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we´ve got to fight to protect a woman´s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you´ve also got a president who´s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way," said Obama. The Patrick administration clamped down the lid yesterday on Herald requests for details of Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s government benefits, citing the dead terror mastermind’s right to privacy. Across the board, state agencies flatly refused to provide information about the taxpayer-funded lifestyle for the 26-year-old man and his brother and accused accomplice Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19. On EBT card status or spending, state welfare spokesman Alec Loftus would only say Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his wife and 3-year-old daughter received benefits that ended in 2012. He declined further comment.

Two unnamed U.S. officials have told the Associated Press that the surviving suspect in the Boston bombings was unarmed when police captured him hiding inside a boat in a neighborhood back yard. The report contradicts the Boston police department´s own account of Dzhokar Tsarnaev´s capture on Friday - after commissioner Ed Davies described a firefight between him and officers before the terror suspect was captured. The New York Times also said an M4 rifle had been found on the boat - another claim contradicted by the latest revelations. Officers had originally said they had exchanged gunfire

Since the Boston bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was captured, there’s been quite a debate over his Miranda rights and how to treat him — given that he’s a United States citizen. An Associated Press report out this morning is sure to add fuel to the fire. As soon as he was read his Miranda rights, it says, Tsarnaev stopped talking. The report notes that Tsarnaev was read his rights 16 hours after his interrogation had began. Then, he fell silent: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev immediately stopped talking after a magistrate judge and a representative from the U.S. Attorney’s office entered his

Tuesday morning, a peculiar announcement trickled out of the White House press office: President Barack Obama would be holding a moment of silence for the victims of the Boston bombings. At the White House. By himself. No press or other intruders allowed. That Obama assumed Americans would want an iconic photo of him privately mourning the victims of the bombings was emblematic of a kind of hubris that has enveloped the president and his White House as the president commences his second term.

The new logo for the University of Connecticut’s sports teams is a terrifying husky dog that calls to mind images of sexual assault, says one student. The new logo was unveiled last week, receiving mixed-to-negative reviews from UConn fans who preferred the older, cuter husky dog. But one student went much further, criticizing the new, meaner logo for being a pro-rape symbol. In an open letter to UC President Susan Herbst, self-described feminist student Carolyn Luby wrote that the redesigned team logo will intimidate women and empower rape culture. UConn basketball coach Geno Auriemma said the logo

Progressive publication Mother Jones has revealed yet another secretly-recorded video of a Republican saying something newsworthy. This time, it’s of GOP pollster and frequent Fox News analyst Frank Luntz remarking that Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, and other right-wing talk radio hosts are “problematic” for the Republican Party’s efforts to reach out to other demographics and to fight the polarization of politics. The video was recorded on an iPhone while Luntz delivered a College Republicans-sponsored speech at the University of Pennsylvania earlier this week. Most of his speech reportedly consisted of his thoughts on how words matter — for

As Obamacare was winding its way through the Senate in 2009, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) slipped in an amendment requiring that members of Congress, and their staff, enroll in Obamacare’s health insurance exchanges. The idea was simple: that if Congress was going to impose Obamacare upon the country, it should have to experience what it is imposing firsthand. But now, word comes that Congress is quietly seeking to rescind that provision of the law, because members fear that staffers who face higher insurance costs will leave the Hill. The news has sparked outrage

He said that establishing legal status for the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants is a “matter of civil and human rights.” “Creating a pathway to earned citizenship for the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in this country is essential,” Holder said to applause. “The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented by creating a mechanism for

The one clear thing that came out of last week´s chaotic activity in Boston, Massachusetts is that real reporters were missing. For that matter, they´ve been missing since last year´s attack in Benghazi. From Benghazi, the Gosnell abortion trial, gun control debates, immigration and then the Boston Marathon bombings, television news reporting has become positively painful to watch. The First Amendment to the Constitution grants freedom of the press but this was supposed to endow it with a responsibility to be the people´s watchdog. The modern Fourth Estate represented by the mainstream media has made a mockery of this privilege.
