Heh: Brown Says Kerry Would
be an “Excellent” Choice
for Secretary of State

Townhall, by Daniel Doherty

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/14/2012 9:44:34 AM

Of course he did -- and for obvious reasons: Outgoing Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) told reporters Tuesday that he has no existing plans to seek office again but did not rule out a future run. "I´m not even concerned about that right now," he said during a press briefing in the Capitol, adding that the country faces huge challenges. In response to a question, he said Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), a rumored candidate for Secretary of State, would be an "excellent" choice for the job. If Kerry vacates his seat, Brown would have the option of making another run for senator. "We´ll see what happens," Brown said.

Stop for a moment and realize that Obit will nominate the secretary of state. It could be one of his really radical cadre - the Chicago Way crowd - or it could be a known old-timer like Hillary or Kerry.

I would rather have Kerry than a Susan Rice or one of the other sleazy community activists that Obit brought to Washington.

So if it´s between Rice and Kerry, I vote for Kerry hands down. Then let the Senate play with him.

PS. I didn´t hear Brown´s tone when he answered that question, but it´s my guess it might have been tongue-in-cheek as everyone knows he may run for Kerry´s seat if he vacates it.

Scott Brown likely wants Kerry out of the Senate so he can run for Kerry´s seat when it goes to election against an appointed replacement rather than Kerry. I think it´s that simple.

I use to think Democrat lite (Snowe, Collins, Chaffee - for example) was okay for some Republican Senators since they could lead to a majority for Republicans. But that only bought the perks of majority for the Republican Senators and didn´t result in Conservative action. Why accept that?
