What I get from this:

The only thing important about the Petraeus affair is that the administration is seemingly using it delay testimony on Benghazi. And we are all falling for it.

Compare the amount of media coverage of the "affair" with the amount of coverage of the Benghazi attack. Tells you exactly what is important to the legacy media.

And what evil lurks in the halls of the bureaucracy in DC? By evil, I mean those intending harm from within. How intrenched is our enemy; waiting to strike once the signal is given?

When will the free expression of views on both the internet and talk radio be silenced?

Does anyone have any sense of "love of country?"

As church this weekend, we ended mass by singing America the Beautiful. I cried for what I perceived to be the death of this country.

This whole week has been surreal. I feel like we´re living in a 3rd world country. We didn´t turn our flag upside down but we took it down. We had a chance to start righting ourselves...now with strangling business with more taxes and regulations it will be just a matter of time before we hit rock bottom.

I just heard from someone who is relatively apolitical, saying if Republicans would just back down about abortion, we would start winning elections. It´s hard to accept that killing unborn babies is the most important issue to a majority of people, especially in a country in dire economic straights.

Yes, #2. This regime has a mastery of controlling the message, in other words, propaganda. The Dem/Lefties fully understand the breadth of thought exercised by "useful idiots", which is hardly any at all.

They know how to control the message, frame the debate. The media happily oblige.

This is a problem for us. BO and his comrades skillfuly and energetically made use of media which ooze into people´s homes every night, every day with the late night goofballs and daytime hyenas and harpies.

Some people complain that Romney didn´t visit those outlets. Good grief! I guess Romney thought more highly of the thoughtfulness and sagacity of the American citizen than the majority of citizens deserved (assuming that all who voted were citizens...).

Do we think that we can educate enough people before the next election? The TEA Partiers were actually doing the groundwork.

But honestly, where will those people --male or female--, who voted with their "lady parts", be in two-three years? Will they have matured? Will they have learned to practice ratiocination? Will they think with the brain rather than merely emote?

As a historian, i have studied too many civilizations which slip into debasement and complete decrepitude, and never rise again. May we not be there yet...

Is there a bottom to this madness? I doubt if we are going to get any assurance from this administration. Cover up, duck and lie is all we are going to get.

I think the cloud of despair and sadness may have been lifted a bit if not for Boehner´s pathetic statements right after the election. He went right to the MSM to begin to curry favor with the Democrats. The GOP has leadership of "nice" men but without courage or determination. Then we have to watch FOX NEWS muzzled as well is just too much sometimes.

They will do ANYTHING to protect the ONE. Please, please, Fox News and others keep it rolling. I am convinced that in the end this will be MUCH bigger than Watergate.

It´s a two-fer for the enemies controlling the USA: they get to run Patraeus out of town (deserved) and they use it as cover for whatever evil they were doing in Libya (running guns to Syria). On another note, our general officer corps is broken: Dempsey is a classic political hack; Patraeus and Allen sad philanderers; Ward a two-bit chiseler who should go to jail.

Petraeus went to Benghazi HIMSELF to investigate the situation. This is what The Won does not want him to testify to in front of Congress. Hence, under the bus with him.

I wish I could share Hanson´s optimism. There will be no resignations. That takes honor. No, Obama is getting his revenge by keeping Holder in, putting that liar Rice up for Secretary of State? All to demoralize, and conquer. And the state run media happily runs interference.

4 years ago, Obama went on an Apology Tour.... This year, it will be A Revenge Tour. Expect America´s natural resource rights ( oil, coal, gas, farmland, waterways ) to be handed out like party favors to nations we formerly considered enemies.... and the UN taxing us is just around the corner.
