Bill Press Weighs in on Petraeus
Resignation: ´Grow Up America´

NewsBusters, by Ryan Robertson

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/13/2012 11:05:57 AM

On everyone´s mind this morning was the resignation of CIA Deputy Director David Petraeus on Friday. Liberal radio talk show host Bill Press did his best to catch his listeners up on the details of the scandal, but then went on a rant asking why it´s even an issue. At no point in his defense of the former Army general and CIA chief did Press bring up the impending hearing concerning Libya on Capitol Hill that Petraeus was scheduled to appear before, nor did he think an FBI investigation was necessary -- despite the confidentiality agreement

Comments:
What else would you expect from immoral leftists.

Can somebody look up where Press was on the General Betrayus story. My guess would be that he was right there with Hillary suspending disbelief, but Petraeus was working for a Republican administration back then. Different set of standards.

Imagine what Laural and Harady could have done with this or even the late, great, equal opportunity flayer, George Carlin.

Right now, the military has higher ratings than any other "government" organization, esp congress. That cannot stand, the military must be discredited. If not for that, this would not be news.

It´s an issue because the FBI chose to scroll through Petraeus, Broadwell, Gen Allen, and Jill Kelley´s email and are now at their houses searching and seizing computers, and an FBI agent has been removed from the investigation for misconduct. Another investigation should be launched to determine just how many emails the Obama administration has been going through.

FORT HOOD — In a surprising development, Maj. Nidal Hasan´s standby counsel team is asking that its role in the capital murder trial be modified, based on concern that Hasan is intentionally seeking the death penalty in his court-martial. The military judge, Col. Tara Osborn, ordered the court cleared so she could conduct a hearing on the matter. It remains to be seen how the motion filed by Lt. Col Kris Poppe and two other lawyers on Hasan´s standby counsel will impact the high-profile trial on its second day. Poppe, Hasan´s former lead defense attorney, has long expressed misgivings

Federal officials are formally fixing a glitch in ObamaCare that lawmakers worried would effectively cut salaries for congressional staffers. Under a proposed new rule released on Wednesday, the federal government will be able to contribute to 11,000 lawmakers’ and staffers’ healthcare plans. That would close a loophole in the healthcare law that lawmakers worried could lead to a “brain drain” of talent and skill from Capitol Hill to private positions offering better salaries and more generous benefits packages. The amount of money the government can contribute to congressional staffers’ healthcare is no more than they would have received under their

Obama will still attend the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but a top White House official said the president had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there.
