More interesting are the "progressive" leaders. Center for American Progress (it has funding from George Soros). MoveOn (ditto). Center for Community Change - see mission statement - pure Alinsky:

Our Mission

The mission of the Center for Community Change is to build the power and capacity of low-income people, especially low-income people of color, to have a significant impact in improving their communities and the policies and institutions that affect their lives.

The Center for Community Change strengthens, connects and mobilizes grassroots groups to enhance their leadership, voice and power. We believe that vibrant community-based organizations, led by the people most affected by social and economic injustice, are key to putting an end to the failed "on your own" mentality of the right and building a new politics based on community values.

Founded in 1968 to honor the life and values of Robert F. Kennedy, the Center is one of the longest-standing champions for low-income people and communities of color. Together, our expert staff and dynamic partners confront the vital issues of today and build the social movements of tomorrow.

The media will do it quietly but propaganda public relations are expensive.

Mr. Obama of course will provide all the taxpayer funding that they demand. It is the only way that he can keep his friends.

If you take the trouble to click on the link you´ll see a list of representatives of some fairly heavy-duty Alinskyite organizations, who are intent on getting the downtrodden and disaffected in our society to band together into a grass roots organization and hold the rest of our heads under water.

This is an attempt on Obie´s part to officially start a movement across the country. Astroturfers for redistribution of other people´s wealth.

Singer Beyonce and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter traveled to Cuba “pursuant to an educational exchange trip” organized by an authorized company, the U.S. Treasury Department said in response to inquiries from Florida lawmakers. The trip by the celebrity couple spurred widespread media coverage after two U.S. representatives from Florida, Republicans Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart, asked the Treasury who approved the travel and for what purpose. U.S. law prohibits financial transactions for tourist activities in Cuba to prevent funding of the government, which controls the industry. The Treasury permits visits for educational reasons.

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
