| The election is now behind us. We need to move on. Easy for me to say, tough to do...but do we must. As for me, I’m through with my rant, my jumping up and down, my screaming at the television and my blaming everything and everyone for the failure. But...Let us not begin with some amateurish finger pointing at the Romney campaign for the loss of the election. (Snip) But let us not lose sight of the real tragedy here. The American people stepped into the muck and pulled out a man running on empty. He had no record to run on. He could only run a dirty, sleazy, dishonest, vitriolic, egregious

Comments: Post-election analysis by the producer of "2016." We will now get to see how accurate that film was as prophecy of American after two terms of Obama.

Dirty sleazy dishonest....says it all.
But the writer forgot the word TRAITOR.
Not American values but Sharia values.
Women are dirt and were so easily exploited.
Religious people, more dirt in their minds, except of the Muslim Brotherhood of course.
The election was stolen and even so Romney had the support of many millions of Americans who share his family values.
For the takers, cheaters, liars, and dirt merchants, they will live with their treachery.

Young people who rabidly voted for Obama could be the worse victims of Obamacare, especially if they work in a restaurant or hospitality.
I´m pretty sure I heard in the last couple weeks that if a person has their hours cut to 29-30 per week and gets another part time job that altogether add up to 40 hours, they will still be considered full time employees and be subject to Obamacare´s fines.
Low wage jobs are bad enough but having your hours cut back to 30 a week will make it even more impossible to make ends meet.
This is also going to cut into the payroll tax revenues needed to keep SS and Medicare solvent.SS is already broke except for some clever paperwork shuffling.Obama´s payroll tax cut the last couple years has already cut into the program´s solvency even though Obama claims the cuts were paid for out of general revenues.
The culture of giveaways for votes is going to crash this` country, sooner or later.
This is all part of the Cloward and Piven strategy of crashing the safety net programs which I guess will lead to an excuse for a government takeover of everything.
Does anybody seriously believe that Obama´s worried about the fiscal cliff, higher taxes and contractors losing thousands of jobs? I´m sure he had a hard time playing golf yesterday thinking about it.

Obama won without offering one substantive policy save taxing the rich. Fear, loathing and glitter was his entire message. Romney made the mistake of running on policy. He spoke to the electorate as Horatio Alger. Unfortunately 51% of today´s population doesn´t buy into Alger´s vision of the American Dream.

I think it´s obvious that the fact that the Republicans could not defeat a man who had no successes and have nothing but failures really does not bode well for the future of Republicans.

It´s not the future of the Republicans I worry about. It´s the future of this once great country. I hope the takers get everything they want. Real suffering is the only thing they will understand, and it is coming. I don´t care about any of them, and when they start p@ssing and moaning about it, I´ll turn my back and walk away. Good riddance to them.

Agree #4. Obama did not offer up one idea that was new or substantive. He was about glitter and loathing. His campaign was singular in that he continually harped what a bad guy Romney was/is. That in total was his campaign. The vote wasn´t that Romney wasn´t a good man or that he made mistakes. It was about the people of this country. Until we the folks have a different mindset, things will not change, and wouldn´t have changed even if Romney had won. Too bad, I fear that the mindset has tipped too far to recover. All this IMHO of course.

Obama voters will be the first to feel the consequences of this election. Benefits, hours and pay raises will be the first impact. Paying increased medical bills and higher prices at the pump and grocery store will be the second.
By the time 2016 rolls around, more than 50% of the population will be demanding that the government fix all of their problems, without ever connecting the cause of their problems to their vote.

Before the rise to power of the Nazis in Germany — which was arguably Europe’s most civilized country — there were approximately 9.5 million Jews living in Europe. As a result of Hitler’s genocidal policies, two out of three Jews were killed over the next 20 years. [SNIP]Which brings us to the carpet under which the contemporary world is sweeping the remains of murdered Christians, along with their living cousins — the falsely imprisoned, persecuted, and tortured — who survive for now among an increasingly hostile Muslim population in the Middle East and elsewhere.

When I was a kid, women were demanding “Equal Pay for Equal Work.” Somewhere along the way in the last 50 years, that has been conveniently truncated to “Equal Pay— Period.”At least, that SHOULD be the slogan — if truth in advertising laws could be applied to political posturing — because Equal Pay Day, which falls on Tuesday, April 9, is not about equal pay for equal work, but just about increasing women’s pay arbitrarily as a form of Marxist social engineering. The press release I got from the (George Soros-funded) National Partnership for Women & Families lamented

Last week, I somewhat audaciously proposed a “Restoration Amendment” to free the U.S. Constitution from decades of judicial precedent and neglect and return it as much as possible to the original intent of our nation’s founders. Many readers were grateful for the effort and pitched in with their own ideas for how the federal leviathan could be tamed, but many others were dismal and dismayed — certain that any honest effort to reform the nation was already a lost cause, and that the Constitution was already good enough if only people would follow it. Probably all of us who are concerned about

A recent letter to the editor got me thinking about the origins of our great country, and how far astray we have gone from the principles enshrined in both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.[SNIP]What was needed was an amendment which both stated plainly its intended goal — to strip the federal government of the power it has grabbed without authority over more than 200 years — and at the same time provided a clear mechanism for restoring America to the principles envisioned by the founders.

Some time ago, a reader presented me with a yellowed newspaper clipping from 1936, which seems to grow more relevant every day.It is a syndicated column by Frank R. Kent of the Baltimore Sun and was written just after the re-election of FDR.[SNIP]Kent’s column is a welcome reminder that the horror conservatives feel today at the willful blindness of their fellow citizens is nothing new. Indeed, I am more and more impressed by the similarities between our current regime and that of Roosevelt.President Obama, although from a very different background than FDR,governs from almost the same sense of privilege.

The much talked-about schism in the Republican Party is better defined as a schism between the lovers of liberty and the lovers of power. But let’s be more specific: This schism is really a love triangle as the libertarians and authoritarians vie for the affections of the American people. It’s nothing new, a spat as old as the political feud between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson, but it made for headlines last week when Sen. Rand Paul thumbed his nose at his Republican handlers and went directly to the American people with a real live filibuster on the floor of the Senate.

“The devil,” wrote Shakespeare, “hath power to assume a pleasing shape.” It is just such a devil that has been summoned forth from the still warm remains of Hostess Bakeries in the form of millions of dollars of assistance money being paid out to thousands of former Hostess workers. At first glance, it is a very pleasing devil indeed.[SNIP]But wait a minute. Why should those former Hostess workers get extra help from the federal government when so many other people are out of work, too? What makes this former cupcake maker the Hostess with the mostest?

They say that justice delayed is justice denied. If that is the case, then surely the families of Harvey Mad Man and Thomas Running Rabbit can rightly complain that there is no justice in Montana. The two men were murdered execution style in 1982 by Ronald Allen Smith, who during his trial confessed to the murder and said he had wanted to know what it felt like to kill someone. He also rejected a plea bargain for life in prison and insisted on the death penalty.[SNIP] Maybe we can learn from the case of Eddie Anderson.

What part of “self-evident” don’t Americans understand? Or more to the point, I suppose, what truths in the Declaration of Independence are left that Americans actually DO understand?Somehow, in 237 years, we have gone from declaring the NECESSITY of dissolving political bands with England and explaining proudly why we must do so ... to the current pusillanimous acquiescence to tyranny which we are assured by the villains in Washington, D.C, is better than the alternative.Don’t you believe it. The alternative, ladies and gentleman, is freedom.

With apologies to Kris Kristofferson, “immigration reform” is just another phrase for “nothing left to lose,” and as Janis Joplin sang in her version of “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Nothing don’t mean nothing honey if it ain’t free.”Let’s face it, whether you are talking about immigration reform by George W. Bush, immigration reform by John McCain, immigration reform by Barack Obama, or immigration reform by Marco Rubio, all you get is the same old “nothing left to lose.” And maybe, at long last, they are right — maybe we have sunk so low, there is nothing left to fight for.

President Obama’s second inaugural address is now history, and unlike various posthaste pundits, I will reserve to history the right to judge it.Nonetheless, the occasion of the inauguration does remind us that it is wise to be wary of speeches in general, and their grand pronouncements in specific, for oftentimes rhetoric does not reflect reality.Take, for instance, the president’s highly praised 2009 inaugural address.[SNIP]Perhaps the disconnect between the president’s words and his actions comes about because most Americans think of government as a necessary evil to be endured whereas President Obama views it as a means to an end—namely redistribution

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

BOSTON -- The bombs that blew up seconds apart at the finish line of one of the world´s most storied races left the streets spattered with blood and glass, three dead, including an 8-year-old boy, more than 140 wounded and gaping questions of who chose to attack at the Boston Marathon and why. Federal investigators said no one had claimed responsibility for the bombings one of the city´s most famous civic holidays, Patriots Day. But the blasts among the throngs of spectators raised fears of a terrorist attack. President Barack Obama was careful not to use the

In light of the explosions that have rocked Boston on Patriots’ Day, during the city’s annual marathon, NBC reporter Luke Russert took to Twitter to speculate that today’s horrific events could possibly be related to the 1993 government siege on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas — an incident often attached to conversations about “right-wing terrorism” and anti-government violence. “I was at Fenway Park w my dad and @mikebarnicle during Waco which was on Patriots Day in 1993.
