Argentina erupts over
Cristina Kirchner´s re-election

Associated Press & Agence France-Presse, by Staff

Banging on pots, tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Argentina yesterday to protest against a possible third term for President Cristina Kirchner. "Yes to democracy, no to re-election" chanted the flag-waving demonstrators, who also took issue with rampant corruption and crime in the South American country. (Snip) She succeeded her husband, Nestor, who died of a heart attack in 2010. She is currently barred by the Argentine constitution from running for a third consecutive term in 2015, but her supporters in congress have been lobbying for a constitutional amendment.

Comments:
Argentina has their own mini dictator problem. Castro, Chavez, Kirchner... Obama?

I´m pretty sure that Barry won´t weasel himself a third term - the Constitution is very certain on this - but there is always the Mooch. That is also unlikely but you never know these days. (Hey George Wallace invented this ploy).

If Senora Cristina Elisabet Fernandez de Kirchner goes for the triple play, will she also employ the vote tabulating "services" of SCYTL and it´s affiliate SOE?...Stay tuned! Don´t touch that dial!

A. See earlier Atlantic Mag article on why La Mooch should run in 2016. Surely first of many on our beloved First Lady.

B. Police said the crowd in Buenos Aires numbered at least 30,000, while some local media that are among Ms Kirchner´s strongest foes estimated hundreds of thousands turned out.
Opposite of what our press did to suppress size of Tea Party demonstrations. NYT´s ignored Tea Party from beginning unless racism could be inferred.
C. Kirchner & Peronists are proposing reducing voting age to 16. I am certain that Obama Peron will propose this in State of the Union address to help La Mooch

I would expect if the pubbis that captured goverors slots and state houses in swing states had any brains they´d see to it the next state or national elections are done with paper ballots and a LE officer is present to keep poll watchers from being ejected in the precincts where it occurred in this election. If they had any brains or guts or spines. Oh, and that they would close any open primaries they have and eliminate early voting. Suspect you´d see a different election outcome with those simple changes.

IF there was a network of news devoted to analyzing all political parties and all government proposals, they would probably do some specials on Argentina as an educational example of a modern, free, country that imploded for 3+ decades and still hasn´t found it´s way back. Just a suggestion for them IF they somehow get out from under the yoke of lying, jackbooted, communist wannabes. Do NOT allow your new government to make a career out of SERVING the people. Do NOT allow a new government to exempt themselves from laws they make. Don´t allow them to give themselves pay raises and unlimited perks. No insider trading and NO special interest access or gifts. Make the media do their job. Make the voting secure or you will end up like us. On a fast track to ruin.

The case of the phantom ballots:
an electoral whodunit

The first phantom absentee ballot request hit the Miami-Dade elections website at 9:11 p.m. Saturday, July 7. The next one came at 9:14. Then 9:17. 9:22. 9:24. 9:25. Within 2½ weeks, 2,552 online requests arrived from voters who had not applied for absentee ballots. They streamed in much too quickly for real people to be filling them out. They originated from only a handful of Internet Protocol addresses. And they were not random. It had all the appearances of a political dirty trick, a high-tech effort by an unknown hacker to sway three key Aug. 14 primary elections,

While giving Senate testimony regarding Benghazi on Feb. 7, Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta said Obama was not present nor did he communicate with the Sec. of Defense during the Benghazi attack. Panetta was answering questions from Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) when he made it clear he had no communication with Obama outside the normal, "pre-scheduled" 5 p.m. meeting on September 11. When asked if Obama at least called to check in as the attack unfolded Panetta said "No." When asked if anyone from the White House called that night, Panetta said "No." According to Panetta, the President trusted that

Ann Arbor, Mich. - Want to see how quickly the look and business model of American public universities are changing? Visit a place like Indiana University. Five years ago, there were 87 undergraduates from China on its idyllic, All-American campus in Bloomington. This year: 2,224. New figures out Monday show international enrollment at U.S. colleges and universities grew nearly 6 percent last year, driven by a 23-percent increase from China, even as total enrollment was leveling out. But perhaps more revealing is where much of the growth is concentrated: big, public land-grant colleges, notably in the Midwest.

Washington - It´s not just the economy, stupid. It´s the demographics - the changing face of America. The 2012 elections drove home trends that have been embedded in the fine print of birth and death rates, immigration statistics and census charts for years. America is rapidly getting more diverse, and, more gradually, so is its electorate. Nonwhites made up 28 percent of the electorate this year, compared with 20 percent in 2000. Much of that growth is coming from Hispanics. The trend has worked to the advantage of President Barack Obama two elections in a row now and is not lost on Republicans

A Pennsylvania judge is issuing an order to reinstate Republican election officials across Philadelphia who allegedly were ejected or refused entry by on-site Democratic voting chief judges, GOP officials tell Fox News. One Republican official claimed that "just under 70" Republican election officials were blocked from Philadelphia polling sites Tuesday morning by Democrats on site. One of them, the official claimed, "was shoved out of the polling place." "For this many inspectors to be ejected from polling places is rare, even for Philadelphia," the official told FoxNews.com. Housing construction numbers for September were “blowout” and “smashed consensus,” according to analysts who follow the sector. Single family starts rose 11 percent from August and are up nearly 43 percent from a year ago. This from the depths of the housing recession. Multi-family starts and permits, however, garnered a different headline: “Headline Risk as Data Cross 10-year Averages,” came the report from Cantor Fitzgerald. Building permits for multi-family buildings, which means five units or more, and which will be rental buildings, not condos, jumped 93.4 percent from a year ago to 323,000, which is above the 10-year average

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”
