It´s clear that American Catholics ignored their bishops´ instructions on how to vote.

Americans have adopted the Democrat Cargo Cult and accepted Obama as their Savior.

God is still God. He is purifying His children for we have strayed for too long in this land blessed with bounty. Most of His children have gone native. He will not be mocked.

Look back on history and see how God allowed unbelievers to rule over His people. It was to bring His chosen back to Him. Nebuchednezzer, Attila the Hun known as The Scourge of God and others. He is still sovereign. He will accomplish His purpose.

Evangelical voters can´t have it both ways: either be involved in politics (including the very basic task of VOTING) or play martyr.

"New moral landscape?"

There is nothing new under the sun. A casual read of the Old Testament (or whatever you care to call it) will demonstrate this truth time and again. There is always an Ahab and Jezebel. There is always a Rehoboam, there is always an Ahaz -- and a significant percentage of moron sheeple who are ready, willing and able to follow these evil leaders down the path to certain destruction.

I´m not particularly religious and I´m certainly no fundamentalist, but I know history when I see it happening before my eyes. The United States -- maybe for the last possible time -- has willfully chosen evil over good, and God or no God, there will be hell to pay. It´s inevitable, unless a modern-day Nehemiah moment springs up out of the wreckage. Good luck with that...

So now I guess "religious progressives," whatever that means, view The Holy Scriptures, that American Civilization was founded upon, in the same light as the supreme law of the land, The Constitution of The United States, just "living, breathing" documents!

This Catholic will NEVER vote for a Democrat. I voted for Carter, but I was young and stupid then. The bishops are right. Too bad the people in the pew (most of whom take their worldview from secularism) are too dumb to see it.

I will cling to my Bible and my rosary and take to heart these words "be not afraid". I put God before Mammon.

What religions?

The very small gay minority is being forcefed down our throats on TV everynight. They are the modern family?

I want to see where in America that family lives. However, young adults now see it as normal.

I have nothing against gays. Many want to be just left alone; but the fringe radicals force it on us.

The 47 percenters want more "Free" stuff from Obama´s stash without any clue who produces it. Soon more and more cities will look like Warsaw after the war. Look at Detroit.

Plus we will probably get at least 2 super liberals on the Supreme Court, who may tell us it is illegal to pray.

There was very little offered from the pulpit during Sunday homilies at our area Catholic Churches. We church jumped over the last few months to see if there were pastors willing to get loud and proud like the black preachers do regarding the 3 non negotiables

If I know about the "top 3", the priests sure should have been hearing from Bishop Arthur Serratelli on how to talk about these subjects. The most we got in NJ was a bulletin "insert."
I am composing a nice respectful letter to him in the envelope provided to return my yearly "donation" to the diocese. Our $1000 yearly pledge they look for will NOT be given. My explanations to The Honorable Bishop will be thorough. Our tithing will also be severely complicated by the election of this Marxist. Even while doing this, I shall "Be Not Afraid" God will claim the ultimate justice.

As the Bible says, there is a time for everything. I just read some postings after a Roland Martin article about so-called voter suppression being a good thing and encouraging the turn out of minority votes. Many of the comments said "we took back OUR country". I´m so glad they finally feel that way.

Okay, let the White Christians rest from their labors of trying to keep it from all going to hell. We will focus on our own families and communities. It´s yours now. Many, if not most, of you claim to be religious. How do you plan to fix YOUR country´s brokenness and sin?

Relax, this is no more indicative of the political future than W´s win in 2004. More people voted for Bush-Cheney ´04 than for 0bama last week last I checked.

#8 - It´s not just the people in the pew (most of whom take their worldview from secularism) too dumb to see it...try decades of active support of the Democrat agenda by nuns, priests, bishops and the cardinals who are at the pinnacle. THey have long compromised Catholic religious dogma at the altar of the Democrat platform, allowed to give occasional lip service to abortion. Now, Catholicism, Inc. gets double-crossed on Obamacare and the bishops discover their lip service is no longer part of the program, and they will now pay directly for the various sacraments of the cult of population control. I´m just waiting for the IRS to extend the "non-religious" logic used to include Catholic hospitals and other assets under Obamacare to extend to the tax exemptions to every square foot of Church property and its accounts. Chapels may be treated as are home offices. The object was to secularize medical services by driving religious hospitals from the business. It will succeed, and Cardinal Dolan need only look in a mirror to see why. Those in the pews will further thin as reality sets in. Dolan is no Wyszynski, not presently, and this country and the Church need one.

How many are aware that more Mormons voted for McCain than Romney? That is a true testament to what a poor candidate he turned out to be. But I´m sure he did better than any of the other candidates would have. We´ll have to depend on our very strong next generation waiting in the wings.

Stop navel gazing! When 99% of communities voted for Obama, it is a database vote, not a human one. The election was fixed, which is why Obama was so laid back in 1st debate.

Focus on fixing elections, then navel gaze.

I don´t think it made any difference except in the minds of members of the media.

I believe they are planning to eliminate Christmas altogether. Instead it will be "The Holy Feast of The Adoration of The Obama" when gifts are exchanged with "More Free Stuff From Obama" on the pre-printed tags. A website willbe set up to report neighbors who do not festoon their homes with decorations praising the Big O.

Faith and belief are deeply personal choices. Whatever happens as a result of the "progressives" supposedly taking over the country will be of little consequence to true Believers. I guess in the Democrat lexicon "progressive" really stands for "anything goes and there are no moral absolutes and the Ten Commandments are just suggestions worthy of consideration."

The really disappointing part of all of this is that the churches, a significant number, have adopted the progressive agenda. If there are no moral absolutes to the churches, one can see how far we have fallen. The black churches at one time were the bastion of faith and belief but now they have also succumbed to the progressive agenda by voting for Obama because of his skin color and not rejecting him because of his character.

Be not afraid, God reigns supreme. Good luck to the atheists and non-believers because one day you´ll face His judgment and you shall go wanting.

I believe Father has abandoned America to it´s self destruction just as he abandoned Israel after they abandoned Him. However, Father did give Israel a second chance and they and we are living in that chance now.

One thing this election has proven is that Obama was correct when he was on his apology tour of the Islamic countries where he stated. "America is not a Christian Nation".

Plus - we have been told Armeggedon is coming in the Middle East for 2000 years. SO, should we be surprised that IRAN is allowed nuclear weapons for that purpose?

After hearing the last few sundays leading up to the election, the priests tell their parishoners to vote for the protection and preservation of life, and while IN the church, hear the attendees claim they were disregarding the priests and voting for obama....I really wonder WHY they are attending Mass?
