Oliver Stone: ‘I find Obama scary’
Politico, by Patrick Gavin

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 11/9/2012 3:34:47 PM

Each presidential cycle gets shrouded in the penultimate question, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” In Oliver Stone’s new book — “The Untold History of the United States” — the filmmaker, along with historian Peter Kuznick, argues that, “The country Obama inherited was indeed in shambles, but Obama took a bad situation and, in certain ways, made it worse.” Much of Stone and Kuznick’s book focuses on the threats posed by government secrecy and militarism throughout history and, in an interview with Politico Friday, Stone said that things aren’t getting better.

This country was never in shambles. We have not fought hard enough against this myth.

Bush was not the cause of our economic problems but he did play a key role in solving them. Obama must not be allowed to blame Bush any longer.

We are in much worse shape today.

Bush tried to moderate the problem, although he could have tried harder. It was primarily due to government coercion of banks to make formerly redlined loans, enabled by the Fed and Fan/Fred. And dumb investors who bought those toxic CMOs.

Oliver Stone finally comes around. Well, these morons will reap what they have sown; they fell in love with the scary man, 0bama. As far as everyone blaming Bush, history will right this misjudgment. The truth is, Barney Frank, Dodd, and 0bama's likes forced banks to loan to people with no money, no jobs and no way to pay the mortgage. Bush tried on several occasions to stop this stupidity. But the democrats kept peddling the stuff, and then the Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs packaged all this bad debt into bundles that they sold knowingly to unsuspecting buyers. So put the blame right square where it belongs, 0bama, first, then Barney Frank and the democrat lawmakers. This is a tragedy that will unfold for years, and yet, most of the morons cannot even see this coming. Scary !!!! Ollie, you should be terrified.

Oh, what a load of B.S. Last month he was pimping this piece of horse manure in a silk suit. And he still is. Read it.
Two things.
One, Stone thinks by ascribing ''scary'' to Obama, he builds on Obama's new image as the ''badass'' who killed Bin Laden, and who is morally and ethically superior enough to be capable of handling wisely any precedents he may put in action.

Thing 2 - the only ''scary'' thing Stone is even pretending to be worried about is the possibility that these powers could, through actions of 'unwise' voters sometime in the future fall into the hands of a president who is not nearly so strong and wise as Barack Obama.
What a joke, non-story, and less than subtle hymn to Obama this ridiculous excuse for an interview is! Stone is just one more celebritrash Obama worshipper thinking himself far more clever than he is.

All these headlines about various celebs who are "disappointed" or whatever with Obama is because he hasn't been LEFT enough. They will never, ever, EVER, vote for a Republican over a Democrat.

But I still remember swearing Stone would never see another fraction of a cent from me after I saw 'JFK' in the theater. (Ugly and irresponsible were the two nicest things I could think of to say about it.)

So he could say today that he thinks Obama is evil, and even that wouldn't motivate me to give him the benefit of the doubt again.

NEW YORK — CNN apologized to its viewers today for briefly airing a story on Sunday that had nothing to do with the missing Malaysia Airlines flight. The story, which caused thousands of viewers to contact the network in anger, had something to do with Crimea, Ukraine, and Russia. In the official apology, CNN chief Jeff Zucker wrote, “On Sunday, we briefly cut away from our nonstop coverage of Flight 370 to talk about something else. We’re not going to sugarcoat it: we messed up. CNN regrets the error and promises our viewers that it won’t happen again.”

President Obama´s anti-gun nominee for Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy, could go down in flames on the Senate floor. Murthy, who has a history of calling guns a "healthcare issue," classifying guns as a "public health threat" and of slamming the National Rifle Association, is being opposed not by just Republicans, but numerous Democrats in an election year. Democratic Senate aides estimated on Monday that from eight to 10 Democrats may oppose Murthy’s nomination if the vote were to be held soon, mostly because of his left-leaning views on gun policy, which have attracted opposition from the National Rifle Association.

WASHINGTON — An independent review triggered by the Washington Navy Yard killings last year says threats to Defense Department personnel and facilities increasingly are coming from within. It says the department must rethink its outdated security theory that suggests defending the perimeters can keep threats away. Instead, it says that terrorism, espionage and even physical threats are coming from trusted insiders. The report recommends cutting the number of workers who hold security clearances, conducting better and routinely updated background checks, and setting up a system to evaluate and handle employees who may pose a threat. There has been a lot of speculation about Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Terrorism, hijacking, meteors. I cannot believe the analysis on CNN; it’s almost disturbing. I tend to look for a simpler explanation, and I find it with the 13,000-foot runway at Pulau Langkawi. We know the story of MH370: A loaded Boeing 777 departs at midnight from Kuala Lampur, headed to Beijing. A hot night. A heavy aircraft. About an hour out, across the gulf toward Vietnam, the plane goes dark, meaning the transponder and secondary radar tracking go off. Two days later we hear reports that Malaysian military radar

MOSCOW — President Vladimir Putin declared Tuesday that Russia has no designs on any other parts of Ukraine beyond Crimea. In a speech to a joint session of parliament, which he used to call for the “reunification” of Crimea with Russia, he said that the region has a special role in Russian history that makes it unique. But he also promised that Russia will do what it must to protect the rights of Russians living abroad -- which suggests that he intends to play a role in restive eastern Ukraine, with its large Russian population.

Hillary Clinton may well be the most "known" politician in the world. She and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have been on the national stage for more than two decades -- traveling from Arkansas to the White House to the Senate to the 2008 campaign trail and finally to the State Department. During that time, every look and utterance from Hillary has been examined, then examined again, then analyzed, then overanalyzed. That´s why this series of photos -- shot by LIFE magazine in 1969 as part of a feature on outstanding college students -- is so fascinating. It captures
