Geraldo Rivera stopped by Fox & Friends‘ curvy couch on Friday, where he was asked about the fact that an Iranian jet attack on U.S. drones had gone unreported until a week after the election. (Snip) “It is officially an act of war; I agree with that,” said Rivera. “Now jump cut to the question of why we didn’t know about it initially? Our Jennifer Griffin reports that it was a classified mission. That’s one of the reasons they gave for not revealing it. But I think it’s pretty clear, like the response to the storm, that
Comments: And we will be hearing garbage like this for four more years.
Okay, Geraldo...here's another one for you: We Republicans know the real reason Boeing held off announcing huge lay-offs until THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION and Lockheed's will be forthcoming shortly, but just for giggles, why not give us your spin?
Geraldo has become a joke and a caricature. He is so in the bag and has a "man crush" on Barry. This behavior is representative of the MSM and how they refuse to investigate anything with this guy and make excuses for him. Pathetic! If Bush had decided to take an Asian "working" vacation at the time the fiscal cliff was looming - they would want him impeached.
I'm with several of the aboce posters. I am so sick of Who-uan Williams and all of the other demrats that Hannity bring on that I have completely stopped watching. Fox, in it's insane claim to be balanced is moving to advertised progressism. I think Hannity did more to get Obambi reelected than the mainstream media. He and O'Reilly apologized too many times for criminal behavior. Hannity and his "Stop Obama Express" did nothing to get the facts out.
We need someone to buy a network and have pure unapologetic conservative news. I would buy stock in it. We don't need scare tactics or exagerated hype. We just need facts.
Who in the press is talking about the UN Charter to suppress our second amendment rights? Who in the press is talking about the impact of the growing national debt? Who in the press is talking about the "gifts" to Obama's friends in the name of stimulus? Who in the press is talking about the corruption in the administration an the house and senate republicans refusal to do anything about it?
I fear for our country.

if only Obama had a staff or cabinet position that could handle these defense issues.
Yep, me too. The DVR fast forwards through Juan, Bechel, Jerry Rivers and Combs. Don't care for O'Reilly or Hannity much either. Never thought I would say that Greta is one of the better programs on Fox these days.
FOX NEWS increasingly about anchors in tight dresses, stiletto heels that I doubt they can walk in, and sucking up, slobbering over former or current elected officials. It's about sound bites, baiting people to say something controversial so it will go viral to spike ratings, employing the idiot RNC and DNC consultant class, etc. Blah,, blah, blah. No in depth reporting except for Kathryn Herridge, Jennifer Griffin. No coverage of racism toward whites, Conyers' wife, Jesse Jackson, Jr. criminal probe, etc. Time to quit being a dumb sheeple and turn propaganda off.
Have not been watching FOX either...they have about proven no different than the rest. Will not watch anything with Beckel, Geraldo, Colms, and am getting really tired of Bill OReilly. But here again, most people just talk about doing something and nothing ever happens...so why don't we just stop with the MSM bit...nobody is listening so why bother
I'm grateful to all the preceding posters re: Fox, Geraldo, the hideous Juan, Beckel, and the steadily growing number of blondes in 6" heels with skirts to their crotches who averaged don't make one dimwit. You've hit all the nails on the head. I too have turned off Fox except for Bret Baier and he only lasts until the panel begins. Then, depending on who is sitting there I go to mute until Dr. Krauthammer. Otherwise, no sound, nothing. In addition to the truly stupid marxist Juan, add Kristen, Mara, the blonde who uses her initials for a first name, and all the others now presented as being worthy of being heard. I don't think Ailes has it altogether anymore. If what I've learned is even half true, they have to be hurting. And if their only remaining claim to fame is that they are hated the least...well, I'd suggest that this says it all.
I am coming to the same conclusion about Fox, the posters on this site have expressed my sentiments.
The nation is divided, we have just witnessed a cataclysmic election which portrayed American tax payers as the enemy, and the latent progressives are crawling out of the Fox closet. Sorry, Fox, but I am weary of your intrusions every night.
Geraldo and Beckel will NOT be seen in this house.
I watch Bret Baier on Fox News and then Lou Dobbs on Fox Business. I was a fan of The Five at first but Bob Beckel, the reformed alcoholic, is simply insufferable. He has a nasty and mean personality and I can't stand to listen to a single word from him. If The Five got rid of Beckel I would return but I doubt they will. As for the female Fox panelists on Baier's show they are all liberals of varying intensity. The goon from the Wash Post, Charles Lane, is another sniveling leftist. Thank heaven for Krauthammer, Hayes, Kristol, Barnes, and Hume to provide some sanity.
Hey some of those hot blonde info babes on Fox are not so bad. In looks and content, infinitely better than Rachel Madcow and the execrable Nancy Grace. O Reilly should be replaced with Greg Gutfeld, and Hannity with Dennis Miller. Tokyo Rove should be canned immediately, along with Jerry Rivers. Do so love Bob Beckel's new red hair dye job.
Greta is the best especially when she plays clips of the MahaRushi.
November 7th did not want to listen to anyone (Rush, Sean, Mark, etc) or read anything on the internet. Invested 4 years in trying to educate myself, others, listening to the pundits and their "take" on things. In the end, they were ALL wrong!
I won't blame them for the results, but apparently their pulse on America's electorate was about as accurate as mine and it was worthless. After reading blogs for 4 years and listening to talk radio it seemed like the tides were turning. So many posters on sites stating they had voted for Zero 1st time but not now. I believed the reality of his agenda was making its way into people's lives and they would certainly see the taint I saw? Apparently not.
However, if America has now been converted to a Takers vs. Makers country it is what it is. I still can't swallow that. I am curious though as to why there aren't any allegations of cheating? We had story after story on election day of the Black Panthers back at the polls. Republican poll monitors physically removed from sites. Military ballots not reaching our soldiers, etc.
The libs certainly seem to have perfected the nasty campaign, why then is it impossible to believe that they have successfully achieved an air-tight method of cheating in overwhelming, election winning numbers?
At least give Beckel credit for occasionally being funny! Geraldo, Colmes, and Juan Williams not so much! In fact not at all, nor are they competent debaters, always talking over people and switching topics whenever they have to give a tough answer. The Talking heads who think that conflict bring ratings are dead wrong as I like many other posters turn the channel as soon as they show up and spend the rest of the hour on the cooking channel.
I also am Foxed out. No more. I'm joining you on the food networks.( When Big Bang Theory isn't on.) I've been a Fox addict since they came on the air, but no more. I had learned to live without the news after the alphabets knifed Bush 1 and getting Fox was such a relief. But no more.
If somebody already mentioned this forgive me, but I was stunned to hear the supposedly smart, savvy, well-informed Whorealdo express surprise that the sow JArret was born in Tehran. DUH! Where have you been, you idiot?
If Fox has to let him go due to budget cuts, then it won't bother me.
I don't mind dissenting opinions. But people who make opinions that are downright stupid, like Obama "had his plate full" are not worthy of being compensated financially. Obama has thousands of people who are employed to respond to and disseminate information about international incidents. There is only one reason why we did not hear about this, and we all know what it is. Obama would have looked like a weakling, even to his own people, right before an election. Funny how no "anonymous sources" dribbled out this information before Election Day.
I haven't watched any news for four years because at some point I will have to see Obamas mug or hear his voice .I canceled cable two years ago but for some reason I still get it. All my news comes from internet postings. Unfortunetly I still have to look at Obamas mug from time to time.
This is no snow job: President Obama´s grassroots organization has developed a plan called ´blizzarding´ for his supporters to plow into neighborhoods and communities to sock GOP critics of Obamacare, gun control, and climate change as part of its "Action August." While other elements of Obama´s Organizing for Action are planning high-tech and expensive assaults in August on GOP lawmakers, the ´blizzarding´ strategy calls on small groups or even individuals to promote the president´s agenda with a door-to-door campaign followed by hyped up social media. In email directions to supporters, OFA said "´blizzarding´ means flyering or delivering postcards
And the award goes to Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is the “hottest” political figure in the country, according to a new temperature poll. Voters were asked to give politicians a number from 0-100 representing how they feel about that figure, with 0 being least favorable, or coldest, and 100 being most favorable, or warmest, in the new Quinnipiac survey on Monday. Christie’s mean score was 53.1, topping the heap. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in a close second, at 52.1 degrees, and third was Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.),
Sen. Lindsey Graham on Sunday endorsed President Obama’s move to close nearly two dozen U.S. embassies and consulates in the Middle East and Africa for the day, calling the terrorism threat behind the decision “scary.” Graham, R-S.C., said the administration’s awareness of the threats prove that the controversial surveillance by the National Security Agency is needed. Graham told CNN’s State of the Union he was recently briefed about the terrorist threat along with Vice President Joe Biden and believes the administration is making a move that takes into account the deaths of four Americans,
It’s not a new idea, but then again liberals are not known for “new” ideas. Since the 1910’s, progressive initiatives have been little more than a string of recycled redistributive concepts, and innovative ways to reduce the private ownership of wealth. The ‘Inclusive Prosperity Act’ is the latest in a long string of “transaction tax” proposals. Essentially the act would levy a sales tax on the trading of stocks, bonds and derivatives. And while the tax might be ill-conceived, and economically damaging, it was the sales pitch for the tax that proved to be most disturbing.
WASHINGTON — Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz angered many top leaders in the party she leads as Democratic National Committee chair when she went public with her plans to use the connections she’s made in her national job to position herself for a statewide run in Florida or even a bid to replace Nancy Pelosi as Democratic leader in the House. “This is unbelievable. So much for supporting the president or electing Democrats,” said a top Democratic political adviser. “She was honest that this is about her.” Wasserman Schultz told Politico Friday that she plans to use the DNC’s donor
On Monday, Fox News Channel anchor Bret Baier joined the hosts of Fox & Friends to expand on the terror warnings which resulted in the closure of a large number of American embassies abroad and a State Department warning urging Americans to take caution when traveling overseas. Baier responded in the affirmative when asked if National Security Advisor Susan Rice took a lead role in the decision to close the embassies, agreeing that the administration was taking “a kind of do-over” for what happened in Benghazi almost a year ago. “We saw reports this morning –
COLORADO SPRINGS — According to Colorado’s new election law, there is effectively no residency requirement to vote in any specific jurisdiction. As long as voters don’t vote more than once, they can pretty much vote wherever they want. This is just one of the “features” of the new election law passed in May at the end of the legislative session and signed into law by Governor John Hickenlooper on May 10. The bill was sponsored by Angela Giron, the same Giron being recalled in Pueblo for ignoring the wishes of her constituents.
Law-enforcement officials in the U.S. are expanding the use of tools routinely used by computer hackers to gather information on suspects, bringing the criminal wiretap into the cyber age. Federal agencies have largely kept quiet about these capabilities, but court documents and interviews with people involved in the programs provide new details about the hacking tools, including spyware delivered to computers and phones through email or Web links—techniques more commonly associated with attacks by criminals. People familiar with the Federal Bureau of Investigation´s programs say that the use of hacking
A handwritten note about Obamacare from President Obama was auctioned off for nearly $10,000. The auction house Nate D. Sanders put the final bid at $9,799. Some 10 people bid on the note in the July auction, and it was one of the highest bids for an Obama letter in his presidency. Here is how Sanders promoted the letter: "Excellent-content autograph letter signed by Barack Obama on his health care legislation. On official White House stationery, undated but likely early 2010, Obama writes in full, ´´Beth - I received your letter, and want you to hear back from me.
Like a battered spouse in an abusive relationship, the Pentagon paid billions of dollars to companies even though the same companies were known to have defrauded the government in the past, according to a report compiled by Department of Defense officials. But the Pentagon´s ability to research sanctions levied by DOD offices against contractors, and to monitor sanctioned contractors as they merge, acquire new names and become new companies, is as piecemeal and filled with guesswork as that of anyone trying to do such research from the outside, with limited integrated systems and unique identifiers, the report said.
Hillary Clinton, get ready for your close-up. The former secretary of state and potential 2016 presidential candidate is the subject of a series of Hollywood projects set for release in the near future. On the line-up: An NBC miniseries called “Hillary,” a CNN documentary based on Clinton’s life and a movie, dubbed “Rodham,” dramatizing her early years as a Washington lawyer. Plus, there’s an HBO documentary about former President Bill Clinton in the works. Martin Scorsese (of “Taxi Driver” fame) is directing that film, which will focus on his presidency and post-White House life. What’s causing the flood?
Republican New Jersey governor Chris Christie is appealing to “ChristieCrats” in a new re-election ad touting his bipartisan credentials. The Youtube ad, which the Christie campaign is quick to note does not appear on television or radio, highlights the outburst of Democratic love for the governor following his high-profile embrace of President Obama after Hurricane Sandy late last October — a move that angered many national Republicans who felt the photo op damaged Mitt Romney’s chances in the 2012 presidential election. “There are so many Democrats endorsing Chris Christie’s re-election that they actually have a name, ‘ChristieCrats,’”
White House insiders say President Barack Obama is in “a funk” about what he sees as increasing stagnation and failures surrounding his second term and some worry that the President is becoming more distant and distracted. “He’s not the same Obama that came to the Oval Office after the 2008 elections,” a senior White House aided confided to friends in an email recently. “I’m worried.” Chicago Mayor and former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel tells friends that the Presidency has changed his longtime friend Obama and many of those changes are “not good.”
In 2008 and then again in 2012, after retired four-star General Colin Powell endorsed and then voted for Barack Obama, the former Secretary of State´s sanity was already in question. At least now, after having his email account hacked by high-level security-breacher Guccifer, Colin Powell´s besmirching of the Republican Party´s "shift to the right" and "identity crisis" finally makes sense. It seems that for years the mannerly and always professional Colin Powell has been cyber-comporting with a 46-year-old Romanian European Parliament member, Social Democrat, and past spokesperson for Romanian president Ion Iliescu named Corina Cretu
In warning about possible al Qaeda attacks against Americans overseas, U.S. officials may have provided too much detail about intercepted chatter and the source of the information, and that may make it more difficult to get such tips next time, former and current intelligence officials say.On Friday, the U.S. State Department issued a worldwide travel alert for Americans, citing an unspecified al Qaeda threat. The bulletin said that the highest threat levels are the Middle East and North Africa, “and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arab Peninsula.”
Washington - President Barack Obama´s top national security advisers met at the White House on Saturday to discuss the potential threat of terrorist attacks that caused Washington and its allies to issue travel warnings and close embassies throughout the Middle East. The United States issued a worldwide travel alert on Friday (Snip) Obama is spending the weekend at the Camp David presidential retreat after playing golf earlier on Saturday. His birthday is Sunday. The White House said Obama had received regular briefings about the potential threat and U.S. preparedness measures all week.
Conservatives have for years attempted to put our finger upon precisely why Barack Obama strikes us as queer in precisely the way he does. There is an alienness about him, which in the fever swamps is expressed in all that ridiculous Kenyan-Muslim hokum, but his citizen-of-the-world shtick is strictly sophomore year — the great globalist does not even speak a foreign language. Obama has been called many things — radical, socialist — labels that may have him dead to rights at the phylum level but not down at his genus or species. His social circle includes
[Video] Rapper Jay Z appearing on HBO´s "Real Time" with Bill Maher says that the black community wants upward economic mobility rather than a stronger police presence. In a conversation with former Congressman Barney Frank about police tactics such as stop-and-frisk, Jay Z suggests the stagnant economy and wealth inequality could cause widespread social unrest: "The real problem is there´s no middle class, right? So the gap between the have and have-nots is getting wider and wider... It´s gonna be a problem that no amount of police can solve, because once you have that sort of oppression
For nearly a year, we have had no answer to why the administration lied about Benghazi — why it told the world, not to mention the parents of our murdered SEALs at the funeral of their sons, that the cause of that fatal conflagration was an anti-Islamic video no one saw, when the various arms of our executive branch (White House, State and intelligence) already knew, or strongly suspected, it was a terror attack orchestrated by al-Qaeda affiliates. You only have to read the now infamous talking points to know that. That this lie was deeply immoral is obvious.
Several skills that every kid once learned in school are going the way of the dodo in a hurry. Diagramming sentences is practically an extinct art, for example. Cursive handwriting and memorized multiplication tables look to be swiftly headed that way. Apparently, the next thing that kids will no longer need to learn is spelling and grammar. Sugata Mitra, a professor of educational technology at Newcastle University in northeast England, announced that traditional language rules are out of fashion, reports the Daily Mail. Kids don’t need to waste time on those things, see. State-of-the-art computers and mobile phones can make
Common sense tells me that cops don´t need a Taser or a shotgun to subdue a 95-year-old man. When John Wrana was a young man, fit and strong and fighting in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps, did he ever think he´d end this way? Just a few weeks shy of his 96th birthday, in need of a walker to move about, cops coming through the door of his retirement home with a Taser and a shotgun.
Not only should President Obama cancel a bilateral summit with "schoolyard bully" Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Sunday on "Face the Nation," but considering the country granted asylum to National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, U.S. allies should try to move next month´s G-20 gathering from St. Petersburg. "President Putin´s behaving like a schoolyard bully, and in my experience, I´ve learned, unless you stand up to that bully, they ask for more and more and more," Schumer said. "He´s always going out of his way, President Putin is, to seem to poke us in
I have a suggestion. How about an exhibit on Tawana Brawley? If the purpose of the new National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian is to remember racial controversies, as the proposed Trayvon exhibit seems to confirm, then how about an honest look at the phenomenon of hate crime hoaxes? Particular attention should be paid to the role of the media in both the Trayvon and Tawana materials. Unquestionably, the media stirred up racial animus, and these incidents both contributed to raising racial tensions.
Today, across Africa, Araby and Asia, from Nouakchott to Dhaka, the diplomatic facilities of the United States are closed. There’s a Tsarnaev out there, somewhere – could be the Mahgreb, the Levant, the Horn of Africa, the Indian sub-continent – who knows? So, as Richard Fernandez writes, “Shelter in place, this time globally.” Maybe it will work. Maybe by the end of the day there will be, unlike Benghazi a year on, men in custody. But if not? Daniel Pipes: Don’t know about you, but I find this pre-emptive cringing unworthy of a great country, even humiliating.
