GOP ‘Outreach’ to
Hispanics Won’t Work

PJ Media, by J. Christian Adams

Original Article

It’s funny watching all the Bush administration alums on Fox despairing over the necessity of outreach to the Hispanic community. (Also at PJ Media, “Yes, George W. Bush Might Well Be the Last Republican President.”) These were the same people who refused to “dignify” the rabid coordinated leftist attacks on President Bush with a response. It would “just prolong the story,” they told us. We are still suffering from their failure to understand the left and fight back, as seen by the fact that Ohio exit polls showed voters still blamed Bush for the bad economy.

He speaks the truth but I doubt the Republicans will have the courage to follow his advice.

Dumb, dumb, dumb Pubbies - - terminally dumb Pubbies.

I still haven't heard - - after all these years - - a single Pubbie pol state that the problem isn't immigration - - it's the welfare state.

We're all immigrants - - or from immigrant families - - and the country has always thrived and prospered - - and will continue to thrive and prosper - - if it has immigrants who work hard, obey the law and - - most important of all - - PAY THEIR OWN WAY!

But no Pubbie has every articulated that - - nor will they ever - - because Pubbies are too dumb to understand it and to think that way.

So - - what else is new?

Mitt and the GOP elite have allowed Obama and Dems to turn GW Bush into Herbert Hoover. Booosh is still blamed for the Great Recession that officially ended in 6/09. Hoover is still blamed for the Great Depression, which ended in 1943, 11 years AFTER FDR became president.

Why did Mitt omit GWB from the August convention rather than have him explain how his 8 years brought more success than failure? Obama still blamed Bush for his own failures. Why was the GOP's best campaigner, kept in exile in Alaska? Ryan disappeared and permitted Biden to overwhelm him in their debate. Repubs don't need to speak espanol, they need to speak honestly and freely on what they have accomplished.

Republicans just don't get it. The simple FACT is that Hispanics are the largest consumer of gov't benefits in the USA.
They want their free stuff. (Not all but most). Obama ran ads in Mexico announcing food stamps in the US !
We can all sing to them as we reach out:
Feliz Navidad !
Either open our country to 20 million Ukrainians, Estonians, Polish, etc. people who wouldn't be looking for free stuff, or continue to walk off the cliff.

You can try to destroy and discredit the so-called 'spokesmen' for these racial groups--that may be a start. And get over it, it's not just Hispanic.

You have to look at Asians, Indians, Middle Easterners as well. The first two took advantage of ginned up H1-B programs (complete with 'body shops' to facilitate and fake qualifications) that collapsed American wages for jobs in IT, project management and many other areas. There's also a major lack of acculturation of the immigrants we already have. Color votes for color, against all economic logic and reason.

Reasons why:
1) Too many immigrants are 'global (fill in the nationality)' and are weakly committed to the US for starters. Doesn't matter if they are hard-working. Mentality remains in the old country, no interest in really being more than superficially American.
2) They brought in their 'tribal' perspective, expectations of corruption, prejudices and working the system from Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Latin America and the Middle East, and are imposing it here.
3) We failed in acculturating them

I speak as the daughter and granddaughter of immigrants, who largely ended their ties with the 'old country' when they came through Ellis Island. We need to drastically wind down immigration, make citizenship meaningful by making it a difficult, long process, end H-1B programs, and not let down OUR standards.

Yeah, "W" was touted as a savior of the party. He got us 40% of the Hispanic vote, but that quickly dissipated. The Bushes, like the Romneys and many of the GOP Elites, are decent and honorable folks (I mean that sincerely), but this election proves that we need instead a few mean SOB's who will do what it takes to save the Republic.

So Adams is correct. The conservative message will resonate with those who have come here legally - Hispanics included. We must simply be not afraid to deliver it. #2 makes a good start. I want a political party who won't be ashamed of that message. The GOP is not it.

The political cure for America is as #7 says: four years to build/strengthen the Tea Party. About hispanics - the solution is not fighting, immigration, anger, division; it is education and insisting that all children learn the principles and history of the American culture. You can bet Obama will push his "I'm the messiah" program to kids. I suppose CA, NY, PA, CT, etc will go along, but states can fight to keep the garbage out and turth in schools. I have never met a hispanic mother who did not want a good life/education for her children. Instead of trying to run them away, we should be making them love America and what it stood for.

Why do we have to "reach out" to different groups? If the ideas that we believe in: private property, limited government and individual liberty are truly universal; we should not have to tailor our message to suit different ethnic groups. If you are free, it does not matter what religion, race, creed of sex you are-YOU ARE FREE!!

Make the case for FREEDOM, no matter who you are addressing.

Any liberal Democrat amnesty for 12-20 million illegal aliens that eventually grants them duel nationality with US voting rights means long-term political suicide for the Republicans.

The highly partisan liberal Democrats would never allow that if they thought that more then a few of the illegal aliens they wish to legalize would ever in the future have an epiphany and vote for conservative Republicans.

Remember liberal Democrats can always out bid the Republicans with minority groups for their votes. Also Remember it was business oriented Republicans seeking an unlimited supply of cheap labor that caused mass uncontrolled illegal immigration to get up a head of steam in the first place.

The major of folks from this cultural background want Santa Claus or Ortega or Lula or Castro or Chavez or Moralaz of Calderon etc etc. No Reagan´s in the bunch. Irrespective of their horrible voting habits, illegals have stolen American jobs, falsified federal documents, cheated on taxes, and violated border security laws. They deserve jail time, not citizenship and government goodies. We support lawful immigration because we are a nation of laws.

The announcement that Kathleen Sebelius would be stepping down as Health and Human Services Secretary spread far and wide before the White House acknowledged it. Klein immediately heralded the news on his new platform, Vox, with the title "Kathleen Sebelius is resigning because Obamacare has won."
