It is harder to spot and easier to rationalize such failed outcomes in domestic than international circles. The wake up call for Obama supporters is thus likely to result from his misunderstanding of Middle Eastern affairs and what America ought to do to protect itself and advance its national interests. The current path, that of the academic elite, the bien pensant, the liberal establishment and sophomores of all ages, will undoubtedly lead to war.
