| I know many conservatives bristle at the notion of “likeability” or personal “favorability” as an important campaign metric, dismissing it as a shallow consideration not worthy of news coverage. But, the fact is, it does matter. It is not, on its own, a qualification for office, but we are human beings and we make many decisions based on whether we like or dislike others. I think Romney won people over with comfort ability more so than likeability or some percentage of both. But there does seem to be a genuine affection for him at his campaign stops.Republicans normally hate a candidate that says he'll work across the aisle but seem comfortable with Romney saying it.This is more what independents want to hear more than republicans. Then again it's easy to make this claim knowing Dingy Harry is going to fight your agenda.
What this means is Romney's going to have to go over the media's head to get things done.
He's said he going to review all of Obama's exe orders and toss the damaging ones.Obama set the precedent of a big foot president,Romney should do the same.
The sense of relief that obama's gone will spark a recovery on it's own.
Now the media is saying the economy will come back no mater who's elected.This is a prestaged attack on Romney to knock any idea he was responsible for the recovery.

Oh I agree #3. Obama's so called likability factor has always mystified me. But, then again, Governor Romney's lack of likablity has been just as confusing. I have liked him for years. What is not to like about, brilliance, steadfastness, honor, success, class and kindness, a beautiful and loving wife and family, generosity and success? He is the man for the times and this country had better not blow it!!

It's true. I was never a Mitt fan but he sure has grown on me. I've been watching his campaign events online & have to admit I get all choked up because he seems truly humbled by the big crowds. Such a contrast to the narcissist-in-chief with his nose in the air expecting the peasants to swoon & hang onto his every word.

The time for discussing sources of Mitt's unfavorability ratings has past. I hope we don't need to revisit it again and look forward to a victory for reason and common sense tomorrow. If Obama wins, America is lost. If America is lost, there will be no tomorrow worth having. It really is that serious. It really is that simple. Vote like your lives depend on it.

We at Townhall have been covering this hotly contested Senate race for months and the results are finally in: With 36 percent of precincts reporting, Elizabeth Warren has been declared the next junior Senator from Massachusetts. Warren has never held public office before and the eye-popping $40 million she raised this election cycle evidently proved more than enough to unseat incumbent Senator Scott Brown. This was the most expensive Senate race of 2012 -- by a long shot.

A week after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast, a majority of voters said President Barack Obama’s response to the crisis wasn’t a factor in their vote, according to early exit polls. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed, per CBS News’ early exit polling released by radio station WKZO in Kalamazoo, Mich., said Obama’s handling of the storm was a minor factor in their vote or wasn’t a factor at all. As expected, the presidential race is tight in Ohio, where the polls just closed: President Obama is winning women 55 percent to 44 percent in the early CBS News exit poll, while Mitt Romney is leading 52 percent to 46 percent among men. Women made up 51 percent of the electorate, compared to 49 percent among women. Thirty-nine percent of voters so far identified themselves as Democrats, compared to 30 percent calling themselves Republican.
