It's not so much that Obama doesn't like people, as that he has no respect for them and is easily annoyed when they get in the way of his plans. I guess you could say it amounts to about the same thing, except that when people are admiring and applauding and agreeing with him, he likes them OK. It's only when they don't agree or -worse still- criticize and interfere with whatever he is doing that he actively dislikes them. The rest of the time he just has contempt or disdain for those who are beneath him. Since everyone is beneath him(in his opinion), it is fair to say that he has contempt and disdain for people.

Nevertheless, Barack Obama needs people. He doesn't need them in the usual sense, as objects of love and friendship, companions, sources of consolation and support, opportunities to learn etc. He needs people, not as ends in themselves but as means to an end. People are the parts and tools and objects that Barack Obama needs to fulfill his grandiose fantasies of omnipotence and omniscience.

It is old news by now that Barack Obama exhibits all the signs of pathological narcissism. This means, among other things, that everything he does is principally about him, not what he is doing. It is all ego, all the time. Being president is about being swell. Proposing programs and fundamentally transforming the U.S. is about being swell. Pretending to care about others is about being swell. If a narcissist like Obama could be swell without having to rely on other people they would not hesitate to drop the people and be swell all on their own. It is what they would really prefer, actual people being what they are and all.

I guess that explains every poll we have suffered through since 2009 . It seemed like we were told every hour on the hour that the vast majority of us ' liked him personally'. Turns out we were just posting bond to stay out of PC prison.

Well said #1. Ego and narcissm fill OBAMA's being, there is no room for anyone else. His feigned concern for others is only his carnival act to keep himself at the top of the pedestal. A ver high pedestal that he has placed himself upon.
And the higher the pedestal, the farther he will fall next week. The American people do not want a king or emporer. Yet that is how Obama sees himself. Alas, false dreams from himself have failed yet another. Goodbye Obama, Hello Mitt, please make some changes quickly.

We know all of this about Obama but the touching stories and insight into Mitt Romney makes this a great read.

On Tuesday he is going to find out that the people reciprocate that feeling.
