On one hand I could see how Christie was forced to do this, if he had said no the MSM would have beat him down. That said, he could have invited Romney to visit, and also have been a little less effusive with his praise.

MSM criticized Romney for stopping the campaign to help out with Sandy, and now they have headlines that say Romney is campaigning while Obama is helping. They are traitors.

Gov.CC neither wears wooden shoes nor has his sexuality ever been in question, and his love of NJ and her people has always been forthright. And IMO, The Big Man has never been a bigger man than now in his using America's biggest hypocrit to smooze that White House LIAR into doing first for NJ.

It is a politically smart move by Christie. It will help Christie much more than it will help Obama.

Obama is going to win New Jersey. That has never been in doubt. It doesn't matter if Obama wins New Jersey by more votes than he would have otherwise.

When Christie runs for re-election, I guarantee he will be running pictures of him and Obama in all of the Democrat strongholds.

We all watched it on TV. Chris Christie folded like a cheap suit. He panicked. Melted down. Wet himself and puked on his shoes simultaneously. He thought that using his prosecutor's skills to bully some hapless teacher's union reps meant he could play in the majors. He got so full of himself that he delivered a speech at the republican convention in which he didn't even mention the republican candidate. All about Christie.

But as soon as he was faced with a real emergency, a real life and death crisis, he abandoned everything and everybody and went running to Obama begging for help. I bet he cried. Then he super-glued his lips to Obama's backside. It's disgusting.

Christie is looking out for Christie, while helping his state at the same time. If he kisses Obama's mom jeans-clad rump, he will be at the front of the line for handouts.

I believe the Romney approach of delivering food, water and blankets is the right one. I do not think our government should be in the business of handing out money to people who are negligent with their own affairs. I don't think I should have to be tapped to rebuild someone's beach house. Sorry.

If Romney wins, Chris Christie has no shot at the presidency. Romney will be the incumbent. Then Paul Ryan will be the next in line.

So this, IMO, is his way to throw the election to Obama (and make his path easier in 2016). But he has no clue on the blow back.

I don't live in NJ. Christie does and he has seen the horror created by Sandy at the Jersey Shores and in the northern cities like Hoboken.

Obama can release money and Christie plans to be in the front of the line. Christie loves his state and her citizens. Take him at his word - disaster trumps politics right now.

I have never felt the tingle up the leg thing with Christie. He comes across as a loudmouth, a blowhard and a bully. He is not sound on the Muslims. He seems to have something wrong with his glands which needs treatment. He is the only one who knows why he gave a gratuitous boost to Obama and why he made the disparaging and needless crack("I couldn't care less...") about Romney. That was disrespectful. I am not happy about it. Other people, some of them, think he is swell. I think he is a joeik.

12 you are right, and I'll add this: First Christie has to win re election, and that is 2013 in Jersey remember! He is right on top of the beginning of HIS re elect campaign. He wants to be seen with Obama and to be flush with Obama stash for Jersey's economy heading into 2013 re election.

The not so conservative Republican Chris Christy had a panic attack right in front of millions of Americans. From his Bully Pulpit he ran straight to the Federal Government stating he didn't care about the Presidential election. Wow! When things get tough this so called tough guy folds like a cheap suit. All states including New Jersey will get financial aid and any other type of assistance required. Meanwhile America desperately needs new leadership in the White House. Christy will never be President of the U.S. He lacks the proper temperament, is too egotistical and authoritative. it's difficult trying to figure out exactly where he stands on issues. In other words America does not need another President that can't be trusted.

How would Obama NOT have sent aid to a Dem state one week before the election? Christie did not need to "play the harlot" to help his state. Nor did he need to bash Romney in the process. A polite thank you would have sufficed. IMO, he's been bought, but he sure must believe Obama's going to win because he has burned his bridges.

We don't get the candidates we want. Or the Presidents. Or the Governors. Or the Mayors. Those we want are ideals.

Instead we must always get a person. And each one sees his duties and obligations differently.

Christie probably figured his duty as Governor included staying out of a quarrel with Obama while Sandy required attention. And he did.

Bloomberg didn't want more non-essential vehicles and hoopla in Manhattan. He said stay away.

I really don't see any significant screw-up or sell out related to Sandy.

Christie should not praise our dear leader. I will never forgive him, Christie is an attention grabbing so an so.

Christie is only doing what RINOs do. The GOP would rather lose an election than come across as "mean spirited".

If Obama withheld emergency funds after all the stricken pictures of NJ...you can bet he'd be toasted and eaten.
