| The Benghazi debacle may yet make Mitt Romney president. Barely 10 days before the election, the persistent whiff of scandal surrounding Barack Obama exploded into the banner headlines of a cover-up – at least among certain press outlets. Everything changed Friday afternoon with the stunning revelations by Fox News that CIA operatives defending the embattled consulate in Benghazi, Libya, called three times for emergency assistance while the attack was in progress. Each time, they were shamefully turned down. One of those defenders, Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, was apparently able to use a laser designator to pin-point

The sort of person that mirrors Obama's selfish, self serving character. One that would allow brave Americans to die to further their own personal agenda. One that is pure slime.

Three Urgent Requests for Military Back-Up Denied: Does Public Deserve to Know Who Told CIA Operators to 'Stand Down' During Benghazi Attack?
I believe each and every one of us should be hitting as many news outlets' websites as possible and make comments - even copy some of the wonderful comments on this page - I think every one of us should do this every day until the election results are announced. I think we should absolutely drown them in our comments - leave no doubt what we think of this travesty.
I believe we should be blistering to every comment that flatters the Administration until we KNOW what was and was not done and said. And I believe politeness has left us forever because no one in DC has earned one teeny bit of politeness.
Media must have SOME value. There will be more people hear us if we bang on THEIR door, and especially if we continually bang without letup.
I AM MAD.

Thank you for posting, OP. IMO, this should be a must read. One of the most shameful episodes in the history of this Country and yet the so-called "msm" refuses to report on it. The "press" will not question him because they are slavish-worshippers of all-things-obama and must protect the legacy of their cowardly-anti-American-commander-in-chief... Is there ANY doubt that President Bush would NOT have left our people to die at the hands of savages? Thank Heaven for heroes like Col. Allard who are speaking out.

The words of President Eisenhower come to mind:
"Now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of their country".
If it be true that calls for help went unheeded, if it be true that there has been a lie a day about the emerging "details", if its true that Moochelle is asking people to vote early before this dishonorable act has time to sink in and this shameless person is reelected with a distortion or denial of lying about the facts, then he should be removed from office.

Unfortunately, there are a number of voters who will cast their ballot to reelect based on their "free" Obama cell phone. Romney could be correct that this number is about 47%.

I used to think the "Staged Consulate kidnapping" theory was just too way out there. But the more the facts roll in, and the events that transpired that night are unveiled, the more I must give such a scandal much higher levels of plausibility. This reminds me of the "The Incredibles" animated movie where the villain creates his own major fiendish villains so he can fly in as the hero and savior of mankind.
Why else would someone who'd probably sacrifice his own children to remain in power do something so STUPID!

Where are our flag officers? Congress? Are the only military willing to speak out and condemn this abandonment of our prople retired? Isn't there a single Patton or MacArthur left among our generals and admirals, willing to speak the truth instead of save his career? This is the most unconscionable action by our President and Pentagon and CIA I've ever seen. And no one, except a few retired military have the guts to call it what it is...dereliction of duty by our Commander in Chief.

You will not see/hear anything about this on ABC, CBS or NBC is my guess because it makes little barry look so bad. He would rather let Americans die than unleash the AC-130 gunship to kill a bunch of Muslim terrorists and have to admit his Middle East policy is a failure. What kind of American would act like this? Only one who is not really an American in spirit and one who has no soul.

"The president keeps trying to cover up his mistakes, and the press establishment is determined to look away, despite the cascading contradictions. Fortunately, Fox News, derided by the media establishment as Faux News, investigated what others ignored. And on a Friday afternoon, just when we were contemplating hurricanes, World Series and a deadlocked electoral race, they may have even changed American history."
The LSM and Obozo have smeared at FOX News. I'll bet they have more contempt for them now for their honest journalism than before. Jennifer Gtiffin and Catherine Herridge deserve Emmy's for their work in exposing this major coverup.

My hope is that under a new administration, someone makes a movie about this. This story needs to be told. I cannot think of two more heroic men than the two Seals. They left safety to aid fellow Americans not only knowing they were outnumbered, but that they would be stripped of rank and ruined by politically correct officers if they survived.

I sent the following to every local paper I know, here in MN and back home in Iowa:
"Our press has become so terribly biased that they'd see the country go down in flames before standing up to democrats. I'm including a link to an excellent article on the Bengazi nightmare written by Col. Ken Allard.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/oct/27/obama-knew-about-attack-ignored-three-requests-hel/
Here's a stunning line: "Each time, they were shamefully turned down. One of those defenders, Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, was apparently able to use a laser designator to pin-point the location of the mortar that eventually killed him. It would have been an easy shot for American pilots had any been ordered to respond."
This administration stood by and let these brave Americans be slaughtered, even though we had resources, eager and capable, that could have stopped this. How do these people sleep at night?
If they were willing to let this go down, what else are they capable of? Why does the DHS have 1.4 billion rounds of ammo? Why is NASA now a muslim outreach program? Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, might be a duck. The press is supposed to inform the public, not deceive it. The truth please, if not now, when? When it's too late? You live in the same country we do, and one of the first things totalitarians do is eliminate free press, oops, as if we have one. And, in AMERICA. How very sad and shameful."
I did commend the DesMoines Register for endorsing Romney.
Now is the time to make our voices heard.

Every time I hear Panetta say they wouldn't send more people ''into harm's way'' without more intelligence, it infuriates me. Isn't that what the military is all about? They do go into harm's way when needed. What if the NYC firemen said at the first 9/11 that they wouldn't go into harm's way to rescue people?
Don't forget to give Bret Baer from Fox New credit for his work on this. Bless the people there who are delving into the betrayal of those men who died.

It was a cloudy and windy day and I watched a lot of Fox News yesterday. Everybody to a person, with the exception of that obnoxious Alan Colmes, was UPset about the new details. Pat Caddell was furious, the woman liberal on the press show with John Scott? had nothing good to say and even argued a bit with Alan. He interrupted everyone the whole show so he knew he was defending the indefensible. There were military people on various shows and they were not holding back.
People have started openly declaring obama a liar and not mincing words. And, it's about time. This should not end if they lose the election and we have to make sure our Congresscritters don't allow it to end. This is one obama CANNOT get away with, not this time.

0bama is not a leader; he likes to brag about killing Osama Bin Laden, but he used intelligence gathered by water boarding (which he vehemently opposed), and he walked off the golf course to watch the seals go in and shoot Osama in the eye. Yet, when he is called upon to be a real leader and save an ambassador and three Navy seals, he is afraid to give the order. He probably worried that if it went badly, it would affect his reelection chances. No, 0bama shows no leadership qualities at all.

Mark Steyn:
Why would Obama and Biden do such a thing? Because to launch a military operation against an al-Qaida affiliate on the anniversary of 9/11 would have exposed the hollowness of their boast through convention week and the days thereafter – that Osama was dead, and al-Qaida was finished. And so Ty Woods, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and Chris Stevens were left to die, and a decision taken to blame an entirely irrelevant video and, as Secretary Clinton threatened, "have that person arrested." And, in the weeks that followed, the government of the United States lied to its own citizens as thoroughly and energetically as any totalitarian state, complete with the midnight knock-on-the-door from not-so-secret policemen sent to haul the designated fall guy into custody.
This goes far beyond the instinctive secretiveness to which even democratic governments are prone.

The right thing to do today would be for each one from the President down to pack a suitcase and walk out of the WH and wait for impeachment to begin. But that would leave an incompetent VP with no class in charge. Therefore US voters will pack for all of them on November 6. Disgraceful that human beings could watch the murder of four Americans for hours and refuse help all for political gain and even more disgraceful is a MSM that would cover for them by pretending it didn't happen.

The complicit mainstream media promotes the confusion and Obama spins, lies and blame shifts under cover of it. Bottomline is that our soldiers in Benghazi fought for 7 hours, dozens of lives were saved. Support that would have saved Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty was denied. Someone is lying.

What this boils down to was that our President made a conscience choice to feed our people to terrorist animals perpetrating an organized attack on our country on the anniversary of 9/11, then blame it on anything but what it really was: A Conscience Choice on his part! Then yet another conscience choice to blame it on US causing this so-called muslim outrage which was nothing but a smoke screen for an armed attack on our country. I think there is a name for that kind of conscience choice! I'm really tired of fabricated, so-called muslim outrage. I'm really tired of fabricated, so-called liberal outrage. I'm really tired of fabricated, so-called Black outrage otherwise known as screaming "Racism" at the drop of a pin, particularly when this President is criticized. What we have here is nothing less that a conscience act of criminal negligence, something to be legitimately outraged about, yet it is all but ignored by the MSM Alphabets. Where is our outrage?

I have wondered why the WH blamed the attack on a video instead of calling it an attack. The answer now seem clear. If they say it was all about a video, the administration can blame America and say we deserved this. If it was an attack, the blame is on the Islamists.

The enemy, being experienced fighters, would have known about our rapid response protocols. They would have planned a quick and effective assault, and left behind martyrs for the cause.
Is it possible they knew there would be no response, or that a sympathizer in our military passed that info on?
Or did they return as "midnight rioters" once they learned the US had abandoned their personnel?

It's clear there is crime taking place in the Obama, Holder, Reid, Puglosi, Jaret, Waxman, commie White House packed full of comrade conspirators. On the outside, protecting all of this terror business is the Diane Sawyer Anderson Cooper, Tom Brokaw TV Traitors to the Truth that keep these crimes out of the public eye. The almost dominating mainstream press, spews the Party Line in ways not unlike Stalin's KGB, Hitler's Goebells censored, restricted totally controlled "news". Tragic times made more tragic by the rich Diane Sawyers.

Cold political play should cost him the election.
It should cost Obama, Clinton, Jarrett, hundreds, perhaps thousands, more than an election. They should have no chance for the rest of their lives - some of them very short - to enjoy the lucre they have made selling us out.

The combination of the "consulate" story in Benghazi combined with what is more and more clearly a blown CIA operation, a "Fast and Curious" gun-running operation to the Muslim Brotherhood confederates (aka "freedom fighters") in Syria via Turkey is beginning to peek through the "fog of war" rationalization of incompetence.
We are in the opening moves of the end game of the progressive coup d'etat that has been going on for the last 90 years. Obama is just the hand puppet in the empty suit, but he and his cohorts are not going to go quietly.
There are three possibilities: 1. Obama will win the election and drop any shred of pretense of constitutional government. 2. Obama will recognize that he is going to lose and engineer a dramatic escalation of the Libya fiasco into open war - within the next 10 days! 3. Obama will lose the election and try to accomplish #2 during his lame duck and try to justify refusing to cede the office to Romney on January 20.
In each case the outcome will eventually be decided by our military. We have already seen where the very top brass stand. The sacking of the top general and admiral in the area after Benghazi makes that clear.
Think this is paranoia? Is there a single example of Obama yielding to the constitution on any important point is his first four years?
The recognition that the CIC has abandoned the constitution does not relieve military officers from their own oaths of office. It makes their oath exponentially more binding, and that oath is not to the president - it is to the constitution!

Again obama was willing to see 30 Americans murdered. The 4 stayed behind and sacrificed their lives.
30 people dead and obama did not care. He does not care about the 300+ Mexicans or the US border guards or US ranchers killed by weapons he has been selling to the drug dealers either or the coming millions under obamacare where you will be denied medical care as they do in all the other socialist states.
Those who were saved best come out publically and testify.
I wonder why they have not?? Did obama state they will be prosecuted if they do?

I will be praying for their families. Thanks to a few brave men including Col. Kenn Allard and the folks at FOX news for reporting the flipping truth. I absolutely hate the thought of a rescue being told to "stand down." I want to know who exactly gave those orders. And I want him to be revealed for their cowardice. I'm more convinced now than ever that there is a battle for good versus evil.

This incident is disturbingly similar to what happened to the USS Liberty during the 6 Day War. Look it up if you aren't familiar. The commander of the Liberty sent a coded message that went directly to the WH situation room and the Pentagon, among other places, when his ship was attacked by Israeli AF. The captain of the USS Kitty Hawk had fighters sitting on deck ready to launch, waiting for the command to proceed to come from the WH or the Pentagon. The order was NEVER sent, and dozens of US sailors were killed by our "ally." This, however, sounds like cold blooded murder.

Today at church as I was passing along the hallway, a guy held up an Etch-a-Sketch left on a bench by a child, and pompously said, "look, this is what Mitt Romney is all about!", and waved it around. I kept on walking, but wish I had stopped and said, "do you assume everyone here agrees with YOU?" I guess he does. Disgusting.

Had he unleashed the AC-130 on the attackers how many of the dead would have been muslim? Connect those dots and we have grounds for all sorts of legal activity. Obama is, indeed, a very subtle "card" player. SOB.

It may go down as one of the great currency bets in Australian dollar history – a $US1 billion gamble on a Reserve Bank rate cut that has delivered a $US19 million ($18.65m) profit in 36 hours. The beneficiary, if you believe the rumour mill, is investment legend George Soros. U.S. President Barack Obama gives the commencement address to the graduating class of The Ohio State University at Ohio Stadium on May 5, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. PRESIDENT OBAMA: Unfortunately, you´ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that´s at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They´ll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.

After months of weighing potential candidates, President Obama finally has his pick for the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which oversees the housing giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Obama wants to tap Representative Mel Watt, a Democrat from North Carolina. Confirmation is far from a sure thing. Watt’s nomination has been met with cheers by many groups that work with borrowers, from the National Community Reinvestment Coalition to MoveOn.org, though some liberals say he’s too close with banks, which are a big part of North Carolina’s economy.

When I was thirty, I was living my dream. I’d already accomplished most of what I’d set out to achieve professionally: leading scorer in the NBA, leading rebounder, leading blocker, Most Valuable Player, All-Star. But success can be as blinding as Bill Walton’s finger in the eye when battling for a rebound. I made mistakes. Plenty of them. In fact, sometimes I wish I could climb into a time machine and go back to shake some sense into that thirty-year-old me. If I could, here’s the advice I would give him: 1. Be more outgoing. A series of official White House photographs brought together by Vanity Fair show the ´lean-back´ nature of Barack Obama´s presidency. The pictures reveal that Mr Obama often exhibits relaxed body language in stressful situations, with legs crossed and a knee raised. Most noticeable of all, the president often has his feet up on his desk. But this is not just any desk - the Resolute desk was given to President Rutherford B. Hayes by Queen Victoria in 1880. (Snip) Yet whether they are debating tragic events or vital economic policy, the president is often more reclined than those around him.

A chart of the crashing price of gold looks like a wedding ring rolling off a table. Gold futures for June delivery closed at $1,361 an ounce on the Comex in New York today, a drop of more than $200 in two sessions. Gold’s fall of 13 percent since April 11 was the biggest two-session decline since 1980. Why is gold plunging? The most important factor is that global inflation is falling, reducing gold’s value as a hedge against rising prices. Gold bugs who were betting on an outburst of inflation are scrambling to reverse their bets

The US is to send distinctly low-key official representation to Lady Thatcher´s funeral on Wednesday, with a delegation led by George Shultz and James Baker, who both served as US secretary of state while Thatcher was in power. While Barack Obama was invited, he has opted to send a presidential delegation comprising no serving politicians. Shultz was secretary of state to Ronald Reagan while Baker served the elder George Bush. Also representing Obama will be Barbara Stephenson, chargé d´affaires at the US embassy in London, and Louis Susman, the recently departed ambassador to Britain.

The administration is fueling another housing bubble by pushing lenders to finance homes for people who can´t afford them. Pressure is coming from all corners of government. President Obama is worried about a plunge in new-home buying among minority borrowers with subprime credit scores. So he´s using the Federal Housing Administration, for starters, to help finance failure. In a reckless gambit, FHA is asking lenders to relax lending standards, while assuring them it will back home loans down to a 580 FICO score with a minimal down payment and high debt-to-income ratio.

When it first became clear that the CIA’s Benghazi talking points had been altered, many of us viewed the White House as the prime suspect. After all, it served President Obama’s political purposes to claim, at the height of a political campaign in which he was taking credit for the fall of al Qaeda, that the death of a U.S. ambassador was down to spontaneous outrage over a video, rather than pre-planned terrorism. It turns out, however, that the State Department was the prime culprit. It was State that pushed back hard against the original talking points.

Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Turnout was heavier than expected, with about 32 percent of the district’s 455,702 registered voters casting ballots. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. There was tragic incompetence, plainly, in the Obama administration’s handling of the Benghazi attacks, and even possibly some political calculation. It is a record that may well come to haunt Hillary Clinton, the first Secretary of State to lose an ambassador in the field in more than three decades, if she runs for president in 2016. But the obvious Republican effort to turn this inquiry into the Democratic (Obama) version of the Iraq intelligence scandal that has tarred the GOP since the George W. British physicist Stephen Hawking has dropped plans to attend a major international conference in Israel in June, citing his belief that he should respect a Palestinian call to boycott contacts with Israeli academics. The University of Cambridge released a statement Wednesday indicating that Hawking had told the Israelis last week that he would not be attending "based on advice from Palestinian academics that he should respect the boycott." University officials said they had "previously understood" that Hawking´s decision was based solely on health concerns — he is 71 and has severe disabilities — but had now been told otherwise by Hawking´s office.
