Is Anna Wintour pressuring designers
to steer clear of Ann Romney?

Fox News, by Hollie McKay

Original Article

Posted By:LanieLou, 10/26/2012 11:25:03 PM

"Honored to see First Lady Michelle Obama wearing our Spring 2013 dress at the final presidential debate," boasted the Twitter account of fashion label Thom Browne soon after Monday night's debate. Yet over at the Twitter account of OscarPRGirl, the official publicist for Oscar de la Renta, not a word was uttered about the fact that Ann Romney had donned a dark teal dress from the designer's collection. But that's nothing new. Designers, stylists and fashion industry publicists routinely clamor to outfit First Lady Michelle Obama, with press releases flying out the door

Comments:
Spread the Word... Boycott Vogue Magazine & Complain to Oscar de la Renta for being ashamed that Anne Romney wears their clothes.

Ann should find some great obscure designer and launch her/his career by wearing their clothes and thumb her nose at Anna Haughty

Anna W..is a skeletal Brit..and I am ashamed of Oscar.for some reason, years ago, I got the impression he may be of a conservative bent.maybe not..and now that stupid Diane Von F..aka Mrs. Barry Diller, doesn't want her wearing her dresses..stupid to p**S off half of your clientele. None of these twits are Amercian born..so sod off!!!!
Btw...I canceled Vogue, New York Magazine and a lot of others years ago..and am explicit in telling them why..when they send begging letters to resuscribe..practially giving away the issues..Heh...

So, Ms. Wintour is willing to put the most hideous, ill-fitting, poorly designed outfits on Ms. 0bama without any regard to Ms. 0bama's coloring, size or body shape, but hesitates to allow other women to purchase her commercial products because of their politics????

Oh, I get it, she must be related to the people who boycotted Chik-Fil-A...they have no understanding that consumers can choose where to spend money....nor do they know which types of consumers are more likely to possess "disposable" income.

Ann Romney the former, Mooch, the latter.

Agree with #3, start a line for smart conservative women, let those lovely ladies at Fox News ware them, and put the liberal fashion snobs on the ropes.

She is a little toadstool that looks like Cousin It.

Ann could wear old clothes from her closet and look fine.

If Mitt wins, they will abandon Cousin It and beg to dress Ann.

I'm sure Mrs. Romney will be able to look smashing without the help of these legends-in-their-own-minds designers. SCROOM.

Although it may be a few years, can't wait for the true stories about Obama to come out: the Chicago bathhouse days, the corrupt marxist associations, the murders of homosexuals at Trinity church who were "friends" of O's, the communists connections, then Miss Anna won't be able to wash the guilt from her hands. One day her queenship will fail, she will get old, and her bouncy hair will thin, and folks will ignore her and talk behind her back. Her chicks will have come home to roost!

When the Edward Gibbon of the 22nd century comes to write his History of the Decline and Fall of the West, who will feature in his monumental study of the collapse of the most successful economic experiment in human history? In this saga of the mass suicide of the richest nations on earth, maybe the leadership of our day in Washington, London and Brussels will appear to have been swept helplessly along by irresistible forces that originated before their time.

I have never entertained the idea that Obama was a Muslim and always believed he was a socialist. But Obama's behavior over the last four years regarding Islam has convinced me that Obama has a Socialist/Islamic centered worldview -- a combination that is not uncommon in many parts of the Muslim world. Having been a journalist in Egypt for six years in the seventies, I have witnessed socialism with an Islamic twist to be a popular political ideology, especially amongst Arab journalists and intellectuals. Socialism, and even communism, have managed to survive in the ruthless Islamic political system

Sen. John McCain says he doesn´t understand the threats from some of his Republican colleagues to filibuster a bill on background checks to buy guns. "I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?"

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Newtown killer Adam Lanza may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an “act of revenge,” the Daily News has learned. A close friend of Lanza’s mother told The News that the troubled boy was a target of relentless bullying when he attended the Connecticut school years ago. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge,” said Marvin LaFontaine, a friend of Nancy Lanza’s. “Nancy told me he was being picked on at school. That they were just torturing him.”
