| I suspect, although we will know for sure tomorrow night, that President Obama will claim organizational incompetence in connection with acknowledging that the Libya jihadist operation was, well, a planned jihadist operation. The Associated Press reports how quickly confirmation came that this was not a spontaneous mob action. The AP tells us that within 24 hours of the attack “the CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington that there were eyewitness reports that the attack was carried out by militants.” However, the report continues, “It is unclear

Obama will reference "the fog of war" early and often.
Just using the phrase paints him as a warrior, and how can any outsiders (critics of his duplicity) possibly have insight the combatants (see?) themselves don't have?
Romney is smart and adept; I'm not overly worried. But Obama is a snake, his team are vipers, and always dangerous.

The fog of war did not exist in the benghazi incident. A drone was giving live feeds back to washington, as were the survellience cameras at the consulate building. Charlene Lamb testified that she watched the incident in real time.
I find it impossible to believe that hillary would not have been notified, the president would not have been notified, clapper would not have been notified.
The only thing that mr hussein obama can say tonight is that the whole episode was boneheaded. But it proves that a man of no achievement cannot set up and run the government. He is lousy at it. But he is cool and likeable. Give me a break.

“The fog of war” excuse won’t work. The fog of war refers to an inability to know what is happening in the field in real time. Obama knew in real time of the events on the ground. He had military assets close at hand. He did nothing.
Romney’s question tonight is, “Mr. President, the Benghazi attack lasted seven hours. You saw the video in real time. Fast response teams were available. You didn’t activate them. Why?”

Denial, Deception, or Incompetence, or combinations of some or all of the above. But Ms. Rubin's close says it all:
"Whatever the explanation for the fiasco, it is hard to muster any confidence that this president has the judgment, will or skills to be a successful commander in chief. He hasn’t been one so far."
America elected a man to the presidency who had never accompllished anything. He never built anything. He never managed anything. He never stood for anything. And don't point to his family. My dog can reproduce. The only think Mr. Obama has to show for the air he has breathed for the last 51 years is getting himself elected to increasingly more important public offices. But even then he never did the work associated with any of them. The young manager of the local Dairy Queen has a record of responsibility, accomplishment, and success more predictive of success in the presidency than that offered by Mr. Obama in 2008.
And so, now that the Obama presidency has all turned to dirt, how can it possibly have come as a surprise to anyone? And what about these last four years predict anything other than continued, unrelenting failure?

President Obama kicked off the week in Connecticut with a rallying cry for new gun control measures hand-in-hand with Sandy Hook parents. This afternoon, Obama sat down in the Oval Office with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel — who, with a military, civilian, and contractor work force on edge about their jobs, is tasked with unveiling what could be a punishing presidential budget for the Pentagon tomorrow. Over at the Senate tonight, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed cloture on the motion to proceed to the gun-control package, which means

President Obama will unveil his 2014 spending plan Wednesday, 65 days late and several trillion dollars short, by Republican standards, of effectively reining in the national debt. But the more relevant fact about the White House budget may be the yawning political void into which it is about to fall on Capitol Hill. Administration officials say their plan offers a path to compromise, a centrist course that avoids the extreme spending cuts of the House Republican budget as well as the $1 trillion tax hike endorsed last month by Senate Democrats. The president’s proposal contains the same set of policies

When someone in the Washington area begins to type the president’s last name into the search box of Google’s home page, the top three terms it suggests as the most popular selections are Obama, Obamacare and .?.?. Obama phone. Obama phone? A hotline, maybe, to the Oval Office? Hardly. “Obama phone” is the widely used — and misleading — nickname of a 28-year-old federal program known as Lifeline. Former President George W. Bush said he supported background checks during the 2000 and 2004 presidential debates. Check out the video proof posted by Buzzfeed. “I believe law abiding citizens ought to be able to own a gun,” he said during a 2004 presidential debate against Democratic challenger John Kerry. “I believe in background checks, at gun shows, or anywhere to make sure

It seems very odd that President Obama has made gun control the signature issue of his second term, so far. He can’t possibly achieve any significant legislation; a few tweaks to the background check system, maybe, but there is no chance of getting any meaningful gun control through the House. The House Democrats aren’t even trying. So it also seems strange that all eyes are on the Senate, where Harry Reid will unveil some sort of gun legislation–no one knows what, exactly–on Thursday. The party’s left-wing base is lining up behind the bill, sight unseen.

In a poll conducted by PoliceOne, a majority of law enforcement personnel said universal background checks, "assault weapons" bans, and "high capacity" magazine bans do not make police safer and will not lower violent crime. Armed citizens, on the other hand, do make a positive difference. In the poll of 15,000 law enforcement professionals, 71% of respondents said an "assault weapons" ban would have zero impact on violent crime. Of those surveyed, 95.7% said the same of a "high capacity" magazine ban, and 79.7% said the same in response to a question on universal background checks.

He asked the senators to consider how their actions are being viewed by the international community: “In sophisticated capitals and in less-sophisticated capitals, they all reported on Sandy Hook, they all reported on Aurora.” “What do you think is being said today in those capitals about us?”

Margaret Thatcher captured Americans’ hearts and minds in a way few other foreign leaders have done, and much of that was because of the symbiotic relationship she had with President Reagan — a relationship that in many ways mirrored the storied “special” friendship between the two countries. Mrs. Thatcher, who died Monday at age 87, was a tough-talking maverick who was bullish on the promise of the U.S. as a force on the international stage. Those traits appealed to Americans weary of the 1970s malaise and eager to hear reasons to believe in themselves. “She had the perfect balance between

However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
