The remarkable, unfathomable ignorance
of Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Guardian [UK], by Glenn Greenwald

Original Article

Posted By:ketchuplover, 10/21/2012 2:17:24 AM

On 29 May 2012, the New York Times published a remarkable 6,000-word story on its front page about what it termed President Obama's "kill list". It detailed the president's personal role in deciding which individuals will end up being targeted for assassination by the CIA based on Obama's secret, unchecked decree that they are "terrorists" and deserve to die. (Snip) But Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic Congresswoman from Florida and the Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, does not know about any of this. She has never heard of any of it. She has managed to remain

Comments:
There are none so blind as those who will not see. If a Brit can recognize DWS's ignorance, why can't our msm?

Rats abandoning ship. When (not if) Romney becomes president, the Democratic Party will be in ashes laid at the feet of this colossally stupid woman, Barack Obama, David Axelrod, and all the Chicago thugs that think national politics is the same as protesting in the 'hood.

Intellect is NOT her long suit. She certainly gives every indication of actually being that stupid.

The only explanation for her political existance is the ever present stupid vote. The number of displaced New Yaawk voters in Florida who reflexively pull the Dumbocrat lever may be larger than most think.

Lying has become a huge contagion in left wing politics. Going on shows like on MSNBC allows you to lie at will and not get called on it.So because these people get approval from the dishonest media, they think they get away with it for everybody.

It's funny and sad at the same time that Obama can say PP gives free mammograms and thousands of women call only find out it's just another Obama lie or actually he "misspoke".

The MSM is still working to bury the Benghazi story, despite tons of objective evidence to the contrary.Obviously this is to help Obama make it through the foreign policy debate next week.

The left was very happy at onetime that Romney was the candidate because they thought everybody hated rich people and Mormons as much as they do.Now they're digging up desperate last minute attacks on Bain again. To borrow a word for GW,the left misunderestimated how good Romney was on his feet.

I am in the district she "represents". It makes me sick to go past my neighbors with re-election signs in the yard for her. Of course, I won't throw eggs at the signs but it sure is tempting. These people who support her are mindless or they are just dyed in the wool liberals who don't see that they are also in Obama's bulls-eye. Where is John Galt?

It was during the 2000 florida election mess. Dumb Debbie was a member of the florida legislature, and received alot of attention from the mainstream media meatheads, as she ranted and raved about the recount...
She was nutty then, and is nutty now. The only democrat woman who is nuttier is Stephanie Cutter.

When is the last time anyone from the 0KPM called her hand? When is the last time anyone from the 0KPM pointed out the lies?

As long as the 0b@$tard Knee Pad Media is in power, and make no mistake, they are in power, she will draw her last breath lying her head off.

Saw Debbie on TV just now. She is too old for the Shirley Temple hair.

She repeated the lie about Iraq. It was GW that gave a time line for US to exit. It had nothing to do with Zippy's decision.

The liberals have taken everything Mitt should say about Zippy and twisted it around. His voters don't know the difference.

DWS is what TiVo was made for. Skip through her lies.

I made the mistake of watching CBS This Morning. I was an 0bama commercial. They delivered their "oh so serious" lines in their best alarming deep voices. They fact-checked Romney but not 0bama. David Corn was a resource. What a pantload. I hope the 0bama campaign reported this as a contribution in kind. There was literally NO balance.

Of course you don't know what he is talking about Deb. You think if you say it that intelligent people are going to believe it. Would rather have a binder full of resumes of women of knowledge than bring one in who is a brown noser to those in power. This is why women have trouble advancing. A disgrace.

Agreeing with #4, #5 and others who say she is a liar. It was obvious from the beginning of his reign, that 0bama was surrounding himself with yes-men who were willing and eager to lie for him. Not a particularly small group in the Dem party, but a personality that is unsettling to watch. Rahm epitomizes that personality. DWS is just not "good" at it.

Reply 51 - Posted by: GreatPlains, 10/21/2012 1:31:21 PM     (No. 8950347)

Of course she's a liar.
But, she's also got some kind of emotional
and mental problem where she is incapable of ever admitting an error or acknowledging the truth.
Her eyes are very far apart and crossed,
reminiscent of the kid in Deliverance.
She's like a wind up toy that drones on and on in a monotone without
saying anything remotely grounded in reality.
Obama appointed her as chairman of the DNC.
She's ...been... an.... Epic.... Fail.
Lik all things Obama.
Thursday , it was reported that DWS had steered
the DNC to 20 million in debt with
only 4.6 million cash on hand.
Reince Priebus announced that the RNC has 82.6 million cash on hand
and will spend every penny of it
in the next 16 days ,
including the important GOTV.
Way to go Debbie !

#4 - that's the plight of the leftist radicals (with their own media!) in the land comparatively free. They lie, media covers the lies, but we, normal, commonsensical people, get our info on the internet and a little bit on FOX.
Still, the leftist freaks make stupid faces, toothy grins and other wry faces to respond to accusations of untruths.
Unfortunately big chunk of the Americans don't have time and smarts to dig for the info. And I believe one of the most important, if not the most important things, winning repubics need to do, is building new conservative mainstream media.

Until the last few days I had heard very little if anything from DWS for the last month or so. I thought either the admin had told her to make ineffective/counterproductive self scare for awhile, or the media stopped taking her seriously. Or maybe her spiel is so nutty they kept her on the most loyal outlets like MSDNC. Apparently because of the relative paucity of any Obama spokesmen, they had called an all hands on deck for the last couple weeks of this campaign, so even she is back.

In large swaths of conservative America, the thinking is that the Republican who may be best positioned to win the White House is not really a Republican. Deer Trail, Colo. - The small town of Deer Trail, Colorado is considering a bold move. The town board will be voting on an ordinance that would create drone hunting licenses and offer bounties for unmanned aerial vehicles. Deer Trail resident, Phillip Steel, drafted the ordinance. "We do not want drones in town," said Steel. "They fly in town, they get shot down." Even though it´s against the law to destroy federal property, Steel´s proposed ordinance outlines weapons, ammunition, rules of engagement, techniques, and bounties for drone hunting. The ordinates states, "The Town of Deer Trail shall issue a reward

President Obama and his family will return to Chilmark for their summer family vacation, The Times has learned. Though not confirmed by the White House, the Obamas are expected to stay in a four-bedroom house valued at $7.6 million with an attached two-bedroom guesthouse on Snail Road, off South Road and surrounded by woodlands. Friday, a White House official confirmed that the president and Ms. Obama will travel to Martha´s Vineyard on Saturday, August 10. Two U.S. government officials warned on Wednesday that the launch of new state healthcare exchanges could potentially be delayed, raising further doubts about the implementation of President Barack Obama´s signature legislation. (snip) Many states have refused to set up the exchanges, adding to the federal government´s burden in implementing the law, which begins for individuals next year. The federal government has to set up exchanges for individuals in 34 states. A single-storey workshop on a nondescript business park in Oxfordshire is not the sort of place where you would expect scientific revolutions to take place. But behind the white-painted walls of this small start-up company, scientists are talking about the impossible – a potential cure for cancer. For the past 20 years, the former academics who set up Immunocore have worked hard on realising their dream of developing a totally new approach to cancer treatment, and finally it looks as if their endeavours are beginning to pay off. The media´s sneakiest dirty trick in the book is bias by omission, because it is so hard to find, when journalists decide "what the people don´t know won´t hurt them," or more precisely, "what the people don´t know won´t hurt our candidate." In Barack Obama´s case this omission emerged in 2012 over his biographical narrative: his 1995 memoir Dreams From My Father (snip) Ask a journalist if he supports the notion of a president whose life story is one part mythology, like George Washington and the cherry tree. Some media people have been stunned when they are told of

Two days ago, Daily Intelligencer reported that, on at least two occasions over the past few months, an NYPD vehicle was witnessed blasting the "Imperial March" — also known as the theme song of Darth Vader — in or around Prospect Park. The NYPD has taken notice, and it is not thrilled. Both of our sources for the story, musician Tyler Sargent and TV editor Scott Rosann, were contacted by NYPD investigators yesterday. In both cases, the investigators were looking for details that might help them identify which officers were responsible for what seems like, at the least, a PR

WASHINGTON — U.S. officials insisted Tuesday that extraordinary security measures for nearly two dozen diplomatic posts were to thwart an “immediate, specific threat,” a claim questioned by counterterrorism experts, who note that the alert covers an incongruous set of nations from the Middle East to an island off the southern coast of Africa. Analysts don’t dispute the Obama administration’s narrative that it’s gleaned intelligence on a plot involving al Qaida’s most active affiliate, the Yemen-based Arabian Peninsula branch. That would explain why most U.S. posts in the Persian Gulf are on lockdown, including the U.

The truth about Benghazi, the Associated Press/James Rosen monitoring, the IRS corruption, the NSA octopus, and Fast and Furious is still not exactly known. Almost a year after the attacks on our Benghazi facilities, we are only now learning details of CIA gun-running, military stand-down orders, aliases of those involved who are still hard to locate, massaged talking points, and the weird jailing of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula. We still do not quite know why Eric Holder’s Justice Department went after the Associated Press or Fox News’s James Rosen — given that members of the administration were themselves illegally leaking

Critics of the president are convinced that Barack Obama will do lasting damage to the U.S. I doubt it. Obama came to power in the third year of large Democratic congressional majorities. In his first referendum, he lost the House and he may soon lose the Senate; in other words, there followed a somewhat normal reaction against a majority party. Obama’s popularity rating is well below 50%, despite an obsequious media and a brilliantly negative billion-dollar campaign that long ago turned Mitt Romney into a veritable elevator-using, equestrian-marrying, canine-hating monster. In the second term, there is little

The U.S. State Department issued a global alert about the terrorist threat allegedly posed by Al-Qaeda in Yemen. The USA announced the closure of its missions in the Middle East and Africa, and their example was followed by France, Britain, and Germany. However, this was only an attempt to justify the activities of the National Security Agency.Last Saturday, right after alerting of the terror threat civilians and BOLO complex ("be on the lookout") that includes law enforcement and federal officials, President Barack Obama went to play golf, and then celebrated his birthday at the presidential retreat at Camp David.

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney jumped into the debate over the GOP’s future Tuesday night, warning congressional Republicans against forcing a government shutdown in their quest to stop President Barack Obama’s signature health care law. Romney addressed more than 200 donors on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee at a fundraiser for the New Hampshire Republican Party, staged just four miles from the vacation home where he has spent much of the summer with his family. The event was closed to the media, but his office released his prepared remarks.

WASHINGTON — Former Massachusetts lawmaker Barney Frank revealed that he doesn’t believe in God. During Friday’s appearance on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” Frank, who championed the decriminalization of pot while serving in the House of Representatives, admitted to smoking marijuana and being an atheist. “You were in a fairly safe district. You were not one of those congress people who would have to worry about every little thing,” Maher said to Frank. “You could come on this show and sit next to a pot-smoking atheist and it wouldn’t bother you.”

In a rare diplomatic snub, President Obama is canceling plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next month. The decision reflects both U.S. anger over Russia´s harboring of National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and growing frustration within the Obama administration over what it sees as Moscow´s stubbornness on other key issues, including missile defense and human rights. Obama will still attend the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but a top White House official said the president had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there.

Washington--As hundreds of commuters emerged from Amtrak and commuter trains at Union Station on a recent morning, an armed squad of men and women dressed in bulletproof vests made their way through the crowds. A poll released Friday by Public Policy Polling found that Alaska voters would pick former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the state´s former Republican governor, Sarah Palin, if the two women were to face off in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton led with 49 percent in the hypothetical match-up, with Palin at 40 percent, a nine-point gap. As of July 3, Republicans comprised 27 percent of the state´s registered voters and Democrats made up just 14 percent. The last time Alaskans opted for the Democrats´ presidential candidate was in 1964. Clinton trails five other hypothetical GOP candidates –

Over the last week, there has been a lot of buzz about a supposed CIA angle to the Benghazi story. Specifically, it has been alleged that a substantial number of CIA employees were on the ground in Benghazi, carrying out a mission that involved rounding up Libyan weapons and transferring them to rebels in Syria. Further, it has been reported that the CIA has leaned on its employees not to cooperate with Congressional investigations or the media, and it has been suggested that the CIA’s role in Benghazi may be related to the al Qaeda

Speaking from Egypt Tuesday night, where they are hoping to broker a peaceful transition period between the country’s ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi to its next phase of nascent democracy, Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham warned that concessions on both sides needed to begin immediately or Egypt’s government would “fail.” “I didn’t know it was this bad,” Graham said. “These folks are just days, weeks away from all out bloodshed.” “There is only one way that we can bring about a peaceful Egypt, and that is a process of negotiation and reconciliation between major players,” McCain said.
