Anti-Obama Filmmaker
Dinesh D'Souza Resigns
Following Affair Accusation

Reuters, by Russell Goldman

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/18/2012 6:31:43 PM

Dinesh D'Souza, the evangelical scholar who made a name for himself attacking President Obama in books and a movie, has resigned as president of a New York Christian college following allegations of marital infidelity. D'Souza's departure comes just two days after the Christian magazine "World" reported that the married professor was seen sharing a hotel room and introducing another woman as his fiancee at a recent conference in South Carolina. "After careful consultation with the Board and with Dinesh, we have accepted his resignation to allow him to attend to his personal and family needs.

Comments:
Chicago mob hit no doubt. Too little too late to save 0bama though. Sorry Barry, thanks to D'Souza America now knows that you're nothing but a failed anti-American radical leftist with a third world mentality. Nice try though.

The movie was loaded with facts, all putting obama in a bad way.

I have no interest in Dinesh D'Souza's personal stuff. No relation.

FTA:

According to "World," D'Souza had only filed for divorce from his wife in California on Oct. 4, the same day a reporter called to confront him about being seen with the other woman, confirmed by D'Souza as Denise Odie Joseph.

If the D'Souza's were separated and preparing for divorce (one doesn't file the instant divorce is imminent), and he is planning to marry this woman, it is probably not smart for someone as vulnerable as he, but not as tawdry as the World people would have us believe.

He has done the country a great service as one who has exposed Barack Hussein Obama. I imagine obie's henchpersons have been tracking him for a long time.

Lesson: if you are conservative and married, don't have affairs. For lots of reasons.

Reply 9 - Posted by: earlybird, 10/18/2012 6:46:07 PM     (No. 8943871)

This was supposed to be part of #7.

"I sought out advice about whether it is legal to be engaged prior to being divorced and I was informed that it is. Denise and I were trying to do the right thing. I had no idea that it is considered wrong in Christian circles to be engaged prior to being divorced, even though in a state of separation and in divorce proceedings," he wrote.

He also accused the writer and publisher of the article as executing a personal vendetta against him.

How nice it would be if LDotters read the articles before jumping in with comments. The essence of the story is rarely in the headline or the intro. You have to read this one, folks.

This story is coming out to turn people like us against D'Souza. It looks as though it's working, especially when some don't even read the whole story. D'Souza is judged guilty before he proves himself innocent.

The article really doesn't explain very much. Was he engaged while still married, but not having an affair? How does that work? I guess the real point is that he was targeted for daring to criticize our Dear Leader. If you are a conservative, you had better be pure as the driven snow. It's even in Rules for Radicals: hold the opposition to their own standards.

That is really too bad he had to go and do that.
The left will go after anyone against them with everything they got. If you are going to cheat and be immoral when you call yourself a Christian, this does not help the cause.
Hopefully the people who were going to see his movie already saw it.

And once again, it appears the 'right' will clean house - even on just 'the appearance of impropriety', while the left would blow-off something like this as unimportant and personal, having NO bearing on their public life.

Reply 21 - Posted by: Susannah, 10/18/2012 7:14:06 PM     (No. 8943939)

Read the article, and follow the links. If this was a Chicago hit, they chose an awfully odd venue for it: World Magazine, a conservative Christian publication. (One of their top writers, Lynn Vincent, was Sarah Palin's collaborator on "Going Rogue".) Look for yourself: www.worldmag.com, and tell me if you think this a lefty operation.

Now, how did the Obama administration persuade one of the premier conservative Christian magazines to do a hit job on D'Souza?

I have no dog in this fight; I've not seen D'Souza's movie, but I've heard it's very good. So the question remains: Why did a conservative Christian magazine choose to do a hit job on an Obama critic?

Again: www.worldmag.com. Judge for yourself if it's a left-wing venue. Read the article dated October 16 where they "out" him.

If he introduced the woman as his fiancée in SC, it doesn't sound like he was trying to hide anything.

Reply 23 - Posted by: DocH, 10/18/2012 7:21:52 PM     (No. 8943952)

Conservative Protestants tend to be heavily against divorce, which is always seen as sinful unless there is abandonment, continued adultery or abuse on the part of the offending party. Even then, they are opposed to remarriage (Catholics can get annulments and the Orthodox permit remarriage after confession and a period of repentance.) So D'Souza was caught in what his coreligionists always consider a major offense against the faith.

Dinesh was caught in the fly trap of rigid evangelicals who, apparently, can't address Dinesh directly or discretely.

I appreciate Alex McFarland was deeply concerned, but why destroy another except for personal gain...the question answers itself.

World, and McFarland, are reaping attention on the back of outing Dinesh. Could've addressed it personally, but chose themselves over a fellow Christian, from all accounts.

Selfish evangelicals? Every flock has a few, mostly at the top. Shocked, I am shocked...

I have no problem with Dinesh. It is his life and his journey through it with fellow humans and the Lord is his business.

What I find amusing is the faux outrage of the lefties. Smirk they might be okay on but moral outrage? Not I am laughing and smirking.

Also more of interest is who and how the outing was made. An outraged moralist in his circle or an outraged obama supporter? No FBI files on this one, him being too young to have been addeed to the liberal database via Hillary?

The truth would be better served for the public if scandals were applied equally by the lamestream instead of like the Crowley/obama debate affair.

What Margaret Thatcher

In her remarkable life, Margaret Thatcher achieved what Hillary Rodham Clinton still wants (or at least what the pundits say she wants): She became the first female leader of her country, and she did it in such a determined way that her sex was almost an afterthought. In many respects, the two women are profoundly different. Thatcher, who died Monday at 87, was a self-described "conviction politician" and arch-conservative who channeled Milton Friedman and bonded fiercely with "Ronnie" Reagan, her great pal and partner on the world stage as the Cold War came to an end.

Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

Annette Funicello, the dark-haired darling of TV´s “The Mickey Mouse Club” in the 1950s who further cemented her status as a pop-culture icon in the ´60s by teaming with Frankie Avalon in a popular series of “beach” movies, died Monday. She was 70. Funicello, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1987 and became a spokeswoman for treatment of the chronic, often-debilitating disease of the central nervous system, died at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, Walt Disney Co. spokesman Howard Green said. On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —
