Axelrod Throws State
Department Under Benghazi Bus

National Review Online, by Eliana Johnson

Original Article

The State Department is the latest casualty of the Obama administration’s obfuscation of the events surrounding the Benghazi attack. Tearing a few pages out of the old Clinton playbook, David Axelrod carefully defined the word “we” this morning for Fox News’ Chris Wallace: when the Vice President said in Wednesday’s debate that “we” weren’t aware of the Benghazi consulate’s requests for increased security, “we” included only the President and the Vice President – not the Obama administration at large or the State Department. You got that, right? In response to Wallace’s inquiry about whether the

You really have to watch the video clip to fully appreciate this. Axelrod's eyes are glazed over - no reaction whatsoever to the questions he is being asked. No evidence that he even acknowledges what the questions mean - and yet, you know that he knows and comprehends. A robot, an automaton would have responded this way. Could be a scene out of The Godfather - it is chilling to watch.

Barry has clearly put the target squarely on Hillary's back. Interesting to see how they respond. Time to pop some corn and watch the fireworks.

Axelrod's new definition of WE- "The President and the Vice-President" not CIA or the State Dept or anyone else in the Adminiatration. If this is so here are my questions: 1. What is the name of the person who said NO to the extra security at Libya? 2. What was the rationale? 3. Did Secretary Clinton know of the request and the rationale for its denial?

Would like to see some of the Repubs start calling for Hillary to "step down", bet that would stir the pot, don't think she would take the fall gracefully. Would also love to see the contents of the daily security briefs that the adminstration blew off.

What was that movie title? There Will Be Blood? As much as I dislike the Clinton's, it will be fun watching them show Abu bin Bama who's boss in that collection of maggots called the Democrat Party.

Zero and Axelrod: here's a bit about the word 'we' in WE, The People.....
WE are going to vote you and your clown, Bite-me, out of office in November 2012.

Axelrod is a repugnant character.

As for the denial on security requests, Charlene Lamb testified that she turned down the requests, after talking with senior state department officials. That must mean Hillary Clinton or Huma Abedin.

It was important for political reasons to make libya to look secure, so additional security would give the lie to barack.

Have you ever wondered if the White House and the press are using this as a distraction away from the Messiah's record? How many people will cast their votes based upon this fiasco?

I bet not many. I think this may be a sleight of hand issue. If the Messiah gets re-elected, the press will drop all stories related to this on November 7th.

In the last, dying days of the Obama dynasty, the hatred between the Clintons and the Obamas will come into clear focus. I am looking forward to it even more than I am looking forward to basketball season when my beloved Jayhawks will rule.

Of course Obama did not know what was going on with embassy security. As his handlers have mentioned, he is so much smarter than his national security advisors that he does not ever go to security briefings. He apparently gathers his own intel in the field. Unfortunately, no one at the golf course let him know about anything. Whoopi never mentioned it. Scarlet Johanssen and Natalie Portman never said a thing, and Samuel Jackson just kept telling him to go the bleep to sleep.

I wonder who in their right mind would not provide security (request or not) on 9/11 in a hostile environment. The video meme was to promote laws barring free speech against Islam. It has already been written and waiting on vote at UN. These people are disgusting.

From what we know of Hildebeast and her hubby when they were in the White House (see Gary Aldrich's book, Unlimited Access), she is fuming, cussing, and getting ready to pay back Zero and his stooges for trying to pin the blame on her. Hildebeast will not take the blame for this! You can bet a case of arugula on it.

Hillary threw Obama under the bus first. It seems clear, as a poster under the original article suggests, that Hillary knew beforehand what could go wrong at the Embassy and then did nothing. The Film Reaction BS spouted by her was a ploy to save her own skin. The Obama Administration simultaneousy bought into that because they thought it would save their skins too. The big mistake both of these have made is in shifting blame to the Intelligence Community, which made their concerns known early and voluably. It may in fact be the case that the State Dep't. i.e. Hillary deserves to be thrown under the bus first. But so do Obama and Biden. They are all guilty here.

I watched the end of Axelrod's live performance on Chris Wallace's program...he was conducting a monologue on how everything was just fine with their campaign, that Biden had done great, that the polls were "always all over the place", and on and on, without a breath. He looked agitated and concerned, a nervous wreck. Before he finished the screen split and Wallace could be seen with a slight smile on his face, just listening and waiting. It was more effective than anything unPlugged did in the debate the other night.

They are terrified!

I was struck by the fact that Axe refused to answer Wallace's question: "How long after the attack did it take for BHO to meet with the National Security Council?" And the followup: "Did BHO meet with the NSC prior to taking off to Vegas for a political fund raiser?" Twice he blabbered on about getting to the bottom of this ... -- Wallace should have said "From the lack of a direct answer to my question, I must assume that BHO did not meet with the NSC soon after the attack."

The State Dept has been on the democrat plantation for years, and they plan to stay that way.

Bill Clinton is coming to Parma, which is near me, with Bruce Springsteen Thursday. I wonder if Bill will do a little of his ambiguous campaigning. I really doubt Hillary will run in 2016 because she'll be 69 and she's looking like a hag already.

I want the congressional committee looking into Benghazi to subpoena Ambassador Stevens' phone records. Let's find out who he spoke with. Ambassadors don't deal with low level bureaucrats, and if he felt threatened, he would have called someone that could do something about it.

Didn't she?

And when the pit viper that she she is wheels around and nabs the Mulatto Marxist in the jugular, we can say, He asked for it, didn't he?

My only question is, how long before Bill abandons ship? He's still out there, shilling for the Mulatto Marxist, but sooner or later, he's going to see his dream of getting back into the White House through Hillary go up in smoke, and he's going to hit back.

I still believe the Clintons have something killer on the Mulatto, and don't ever think they are beyond using it when things get nasty. We haven't seen nasty yet. We haven't even seen slightly soiled. Remember. This is the Clintons that the Mulatto is screwing around with.

They are all at fault. Libya is a war zone bubbling over with various radical Islamist and nationalistic grounded militias that have differing agendas, most of which are contrary to American national interests.

It's simply common sense to provide American diplomats operating in such a place with very competent and effective security elements no matter what the locals say about that. If adequate security cannot be provided the post should be shut down, as the British did with their Consulate in Benghazi before the American consulate was attacked.

Obviously the State Dept. decided to go with incompetent local security hires and to keep American security teams as small as they could, because the Libyans currently in power would not agree to non-Islamic USA para-military units entering that country, even to just provide security for the American diplomats working there.

Look what her husband did and didn't do. If anybody ever inherited anything, George W. Bush inherited the first 9/11 from Bill Clinton.

The attempted underwear bombing of a NWA jet on Christmas Day , 2009 was another terror attack
that Obama slept through.
" White House spokesman Bill Burton said Friday that Obama,
on vacation in Hawaii, was informed of the incident
about three hours after the plane landed. "
Three hours , later ????
That should have rung alarm bells that Obama sleeps through
terror attacks just as he did with Benghazi.
The NYT had an excuse that would have made
Biden act like Tickle Me Elmo.
They wrote that Obama and Michelle were singing Christmas carols
when a military aide interrupted them with the news.
Obama bungled the NWA terror attack by playing golf and hot tubbing with Reggie Love instead of treating it seriously.
Just as he bungled Benghazi.
I bet there are more attempts that we don't know about.
Obama's pattern of ignoring terror attacks for playtime
should alarm every American.
On Nov 6, it's not just about restoring honor ,dignity
and competence to the White House.
It's also about restoring national security.

I remember when Caroline Kennedy wanted to run for Hillary's old Senate seat in NY, and the Clinton people were not happy. Decision making time for Caroline came, and something happened to turn her into a panicked, blubbering fool when she called the Gov. to tell him she was pulling herself out of contention. I half expect to see a similar hammer to fall on Carney or Axelrod before the election. Small fry shouldn't mess with the Clintons.

Yesterday on FOX. I heard someone say Hillary was lawyering up. Rest assured, she will not go quiet into the night. However, she's definitely in a tough spot. I expect to see a whistle blower come forward to help Hillary and throw Obama under the black Greyhound. Let's face it, if she's planning to run in 2016, it would be better for her to run against a GOP imcumbent then a failed eight years of Obama.

Regarding Bill, I think he's doing the keeping your enemies close shuffle. And, perhaps he's trying to get inside Obama's Ohio ground machine.

I find this whole story a microcosm of the past for years. We've been abused and lied to, by an arrogant absentee president and his gangster friends.

What was their source for this intel?
Bring in General David also and see what he has to say.
I suspect that before this could happen there would be a new round of Executive Privilege, National Defense, Aid to the Enemy, etc , and some still to be dreamed up excuses.

A great moment in the Fox Round Table came when Laura set up the pitch by asking why some intrepid 'journalist' (cut to Woodward, hehe) doesn't get to the bottom of where the directive came from to blame it all on a video.

Brit directly asked Chris if all Administration bookings come from and are approved by the White House. Chris said yes and there was a VERY pregnant pause.

IIRC the first mention of the video came from the Cairo Embassy. Even as the protesters there were chanting, "Obama, we're all Osama," the Embassy released a statement denouncing the video. This was mere hours before the Benghazi attack.

I think the video was just one of many such stuff on a shelf somewhere, to be used when the occasion arises. I think the plan was to have some protests in Cairo, good graphics for the evening news, to provide a “reason” to blame an internet video and call for the adoption of the U.N. treaty to ban any criticism of islam. The ultimate goal is the restriction of free speech guaranteed in our First Amendment.

Then Al Queda attacked Benghazi. When the fit hit the shan they just continued with the “blame the video” thinking no one would notice an Ambassador had been murdered. After all, didn’t mean much to them, why should it to anyone else? When’s that flight to Vegas?

Hillary has known all along she was in deep do-do. She figured that THEY were in deep, not just her. After all she is carrying out the Bamster's foreign policy which is deeply flawed, but she has the same policy so that makes her deeply flawed.

When you saw both of their faces at Dover when the bodies were returned to the US that they knew it was over for both of them. Since bin Laden she and the rest of her people, CIA, and other intel agencies were skating on thin ice. Obama was not going to OK the third bin Ladin mission. Fortunately for America it worked out, but the Bamster had to go out and take credit for it and continually spike the football. This does not sit well with many Muslim groups. Frankly all of them must have been offended. Remember how happy Hillary was about Qadaffi? Their lack of knowledge about the Middle East is terribly obvious.

The Bamster handled bin Ladin very badly. An announcement would have sufficed. But he had to make it a political football to be spiked at every occasion he was in public. He naively thought that it was all over in the Middle East. He had done what Bush couldn't. He forgot that Bush made bin Ladin somewhat irrelevant. It wasn't the big deal that Obama thought it should be and now we are all paying for it. We are all less safe. Massive failure in Obama's foreign policy. Both the O and Hillary are going down.

Obama showed what he could do and it is not what we, as a nation, want!

Mitt Romney is a dedicated and honorable citizen of America and he has proved his allegiance many times.

Obama is not even willing to honor the flag that is flying and he has countless times denied his allegiance and his faith in the land that gave him power, which has been wasted and has burdened our children with a debt beyond human comprehension, all to foster his agenda of socialism!

Pray for America! God is patiently waiting for US to bend our knees and acknolwledge His authority, not a man who seeks to be a god!

These past four years have proved he is unable to sustain the miracle-working power that he had set before him and US!

Elections are a time to evaluate and re-evaluate what we have and what we want, what we were promised and what we got, what was delivered by a man who was/is unable to produce the jobs necessary for US to regain what we have lost through his administration.

We are left with lemons and only Romney can make the lemonade that will satisfy US!

Four more years will be more disasterous!

Biden has also proved his mentality by his misrable performance at his debate, filled with lies and actions of one unable to lead or be in any form of authority!

Neither of these light-weights should be in a position to make life and death decisions. I'm thinking they are both in trouble if the truth manages to eek its way out. Hillary, for refusing repeated requests for additional security & signing the totally inadequate Rules of Engagement.

As for Obama...now where did the terrorists get those weapons? The ones they used to kill 4 Americans? Who decided to provide military aid to the rebels, without Congressional approval? Where did the weapons come from, Mr. President?

Obama provided the weapons to the terrorists. Hillary made sure they could use them unchallenged.

Was it just my screen or did Axelrod look almost corpse like on tv today? It was really odd. In the split screen, Wallace looked normal, but it looked like the make up artist had pulled some sort of Halloween prank on Axelrod. I turned to Mr. Daria and said "The make up and lighting people at Fox deserve a couple of big fat bonuses".

Anyone notice the numerous times Axelrod rubbed his right eye? Wondered if it was really a middle finger salute, of sorts, to Wallace. It was that or an indicator of his nervousness.

I can't see how Obama could possibly be in a "dead heat" with Romney. What he has done with the Benghazi affair is worse than Watergate ever was - no one got killed in Watergate and yet, with Watergate, I remember that they had all day coverage of the hearings on that. With this, if you don't watch Fox, you don't even know about it. I am into my 80s and I never knew we could have a media that was so inept. They tell nothing that is true in the news. I guess that is what the liberal colleges are teaching them to do now. I just cannot understand. They are watching our country be totaly destroyed by the democrats and they still want them in office. What is wrong with these people???????

This is disgraceful. Four good Americans are dead because their government did not and indeed might have refused to adequately protect them. Nothing is more important to Obama than his re election. Not even four dead Americans at the hands of Islamic terrorists. These men should not be forgotten in the midst of this Obama drama. That said, since Obama's strategy appears to be to throw Hillary under that ole bus -- just for giggles Mitt should call for Hillary's resignation (which we should have had on 9/11/2012)thereby forcing Obama to either defend her and the State Department or .....just for giggles since Biden has reminded us just how hilarious this all is.

The way I see this, there are now x separate factions battling here: WH, Hillary, State/CIA/NSA...

If I were in Obama's shoes, I wouldn't try to throw the intelligence agencies under the bus (does he understand what they do for a living?).

And I wouldn't want to throw the State personnel under the bus either (does he remember how good they are at strategically leaking information?).

Now he cuts Hillary loose. Obama must remember that he's been using Bubba's help on this campaign. Fat chance of that help continuing if O tosses Hillary under the bus. Plus there is that matter from the 90s about of 'the circle of death' (how many people the Clintons knew who are now dead, most mysteriously).

O must be slipping his moorings!

Hillary's only chance is in 2016. If Obama wins the Democrat party will be radioactive due to all of his colossal failures. Besides, parties in power for two terms are at a huge disadvantage for a third term. Bush 41 was Ronald Reagan's third term. Bill knows this. He also knows that he must play the good soldier and not be seen to be contributing to the first black president's loss at the polls. However, Hillary is being positioned to take the fall now that that Obama and Joey have declared that the buck never arrived at the White House regarding Benghazi. The solution will be to leak some document that clearly indicates the White House was indeed notified. This will catch Obama and Joey in a firestorm of public deceit. Hillary will be the loyal servant who let the boss know. Obama will lose the election and in the meantime Joey will destroy any chance of his own in 2016. Bill and Hillary will reclaim the democrat party as their own for 2016.

Attorney General Eric Holder began his tenure by calling Americans cowards regarding racial issues. Newly released documents reveal that Holder’s schedule shows a preoccupation with racial issues: he spends an inordinate amount of time meeting with race-centered organizations. Recently, the Department of Justice began making Holder’s daily schedules available online. Although the schedules are far from complete and heavily redacted, the compiled summary below (links to documents provided) shows how much time and access the office of the attorney general allocates to ethnocentric lobbyists and race-based associations. In unveiling his $3.8 trillion spending plan for the U.S. government on Wednesday, President Barack Obama revived his longstanding attack on oil industry tax breaks and formally launched a plan to pay for alternative vehicle research with drilling dollars. While the tax plans are dead on arrival on Capitol Hill — where lawmakers have rejected similar proposals many times before — they drew outrage from oil and gas industry leaders who said Obama was seeking to use the sector as a piggy bank. The fiscal 2014 budget proposal aims to raise $2.5 billion

North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un is unpredictable and inexperienced in matters of global diplomacy and politics, Mr. Cheney said in the CNN report. Mr. Cheney’s comments come at a time of rising tensions with North Korea, which keeps threatening to attack its southern neighbor, and the United States.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers reached a deal Wednesday to expand background checks to guns purchased on the Internet or at trade shows, clearing the way for the Senate to begin debating a new gun control bill this week. The deal, struck by Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin III and Republican Sen. Patrick J. Toomey, won a stamp of approval from President Obama and gave the broader gun bill a needed boost — though the legislation still faces high hurdles in the Senate, to say nothing of the GOP-controlled House.

Top congressional Republicans declared President Obama’s tax-laden budget for fiscal 2014 dead on arrival Wednesday, saying its failure to cut deficits destroys any hope of a “grand bargain” to fix the federal government’s fiscal crisis. The White House promoted the budget as an effort to restart negotiations on long-term deficit reduction with a mix of higher taxes on the wealthy and modest trims to entitlement programs. But House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Republican, said the president’s proposals on Social Security and Medicare don’t come close to addressing the programs’ looming insolvency.

In the first budget of his second term, President Obama set aside the grand ambitions that marked his early days in office and sent Congress a blueprint aimed at achieving a simple goal: ending the long partisan standoff over the national debt. The 10-year budget request Obama unveiled Wednesday calls for nearly $300 billion in new spending on jobs and public works. That includes a landmark $77 billion expansion of preschool education financed by smokers, who would have to pay an extra 94 cents a pack for cigarettes. The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
