Do black people support Obama because he's black?

| Surviving slavery, segregation and discrimination has forged a special pride in African-Americans. Now some are saying this hard-earned pride has become prejudice in the form of blind loyalty to President Barack Obama. Are black people supporting Obama mainly because he's black? If race is just one factor in blacks' support of Obama, does that make them racist? Can blacks' support for Obama be compared with white voters who may favor his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, because he's white?
|
Comments: Mr. Jackson makes a rather superficial argument that yes, blacks support 0bama because he's black, but that's cool because it's a black thing. In other words, this is just a screed that justifies rampant & overt racism among many blacks. I find his inference that white people support Romneny only because he's white to be particularly offensive.

A true test would be if a black Republican were the candidate. Although their policies have destroyed the black family and community, dims have bought the black vote with taxpayer money for decades.

Is Grant buried in Grant's tomb?
Was George Washington's white horse white?
Was the War of 1812 fought in 1812?

Of course they do. Not all, not by any means - but the majority.
Do white liberals support Obama because he's black? You bet they do. That's the reason he was elected: to be America's First Black President. That was the main thing for many liberals and most of the media. The race angle is STILL the main thing for some of them. One thing we have to give Obama, however: he has run that excuse into the ground and caused a lot of people to have second thoughts about skin color as a qualification for the presidency(or anything else). Maybe it wasn't such a smart idea after all to elect an affirmative action president just so people could feel good about themselves that they were not prejudiced.

Wasn't it Dr. Martin Luther king who, in his great "I Have a Dream Speech" on the National Mall, said "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today". Dr. King must be rolling in his grave!!!

A better idea would be to compare the ratio of black people who voted for Obama versus white people who voted for Obama. Millions of white people voted for Obama but how many black people voted for McCain?
Yes, most black people voted for Obama because he is black. So did many white people, for the same reason. However I have a feeling that this sort of largesse on the part of American voters will not happen again. This feel-good effort attempting to prove that white people are not racists was a huge failure, not because Obama is black but because he is unqualified and because of that we are reaping the whirlwind.

Duh! Blacks got on board after all those Black voters in Iowa gave him a win in Iowa and they started believing he could get the nomination! But as I said on a post last week, he's failed Americans in general, and Blacks in particular during his term...it's as if Jackie Robinson was the first, but average only .150 a season for 4 seasons, and not the MVP as he was. We now know he can't "bring it"...The increased turnout of Black women and youth he benefitted from in 2008 will not be repeated in 2012.

For most blacks, Obama is the best of all possible worlds. A black plantation owner. They still need to be slaves and this owner will give them what they want. Better free housing, food, and no need to tend the crops. Some individuals have gone past this to enjoy the blessings of freedom but most stay on the liberal plantation of indoctrination through government, schools, and media. Unfortunately, all they're getting is socialist doctrine.

#2 poses the right question, and the answer is that black voters as a general rule do not support black GOP candidates. Black voters in PA went overwhelmingly for Ed Rendell over Lynn Swann for Governor here some years back. How much black support is there for Allen West or anyone else who dares step off the Democrat plantation? Is Condi a sought-after speaker to black groups, is Thomas Sowell revered as he should be in the black community? You have to be black and a racialist (translation: Democrat) to receive black support.

It is amazing to me that the mith prevails that only white folks can be bigots. The facts are:
All backs are racists - False Some blacks are racists - True All whites are racists - False Some whites are racists - True
The same holds true for other races.
The fact that Obama got over 90% the vote when they usually vote 60-40 for Democrats is proof that race was a significant factor.
The fact that a majority of whites also voted for Obama shows that race was not a significant factor.

What a waste of cyberspace. Of course, Black people proved their loyalty and voted for Obama because he's (sort of) Black. Of course, a lot of White people proved they're (sort of) not racist by voting for him.
Can we all just grow up now and vote for the one who actually knows what he's doing? And maybe help ALL of us have a better life instead of only focusing in on "what's in it for me"?.

As a Black male, when I tell people I have no intention of returning 0bama to the White House, my peers often look at me as if I had a third eye growing from my forehead. Problem is, not only are most of my peers often *CLUELESS* on subjects such as Benghazi, Solyndra or "Fast and Furious", they usually can't even mount a coherent defense of The Won's policies (usually because of that same cluelessness). If a White guy was guilty of the same screw-ups as the 0bama administration, they'd demand his head on a pike. But the Emporer With No Clothes seems to get a pass on all this stuff. Why?
Do they vote for him just because he's Black? Well, I can't find any other explanation.

The answer to all the questions is yes.
The blacks supported the Mulatto Kid even though he has little black blood but he looks like them, so it's OK.
The whites supported the Mulatto Kid because they are liberal leftists who think it's cool to support blacks no matter that they are inexperienced, arrogant and liars.
Voters in the US are not the sharpest tacks in the drawer. They are too easily led by smooth-talking, attractive looking people who have no brains and no experience to speak of. Why they throw their vote and their money on such poor candidates is quite astounding.

We all know, as a race, 90% of all black people traditionally vote for the Democratic candidates. With Obama running in 2008, very few black people failed to vote for him. And that is understandable.
But the situation has changed in that people know more about him, and we all have had the opportunity to understand the direction he is taking and wants to take our nation.
It is not racist to say no thanks. I don't like what you want to do because I think you are wrong. And I can honestly say it has nothing to do with the color of his skin.
The worst thing I hear black people say is that they think Obama cares about them. My observation is that there has never been a president or presidential candidate that cared less for black people. Otherwise he would have worked to rebuild the black family and given priority to programs that help black men find jobs.
Obama has made a career using the color of his skin, his liberal white friends, and the exploitation of black people to achieve political success, and become personally very wealthy.

The only thing worse than being a poorly educated, poorly trained and poorly paid dud is being all that with no one to blame except yourself and your own laziness. Hitler figured that out in Germany and the masses were more than happy to blame the Jews. Obama, Sharpton, Jesse Jackson have successfully placed the blame on the whites .Except, of course those clear-eyed brave white liberals who will be kind enough to tell you what to do and who to blame. And, of course, free 'Bama fo's and free foo stamps.

Obama is 50% white and %50 black. That his father was Arab is not an argument. Arab is not a race. He's still 50% black if you believe his father was the other guy. In any event, Obama has strong Arabic associations and blacks have no clue they are used for political gain and serve no other purpose to them other than to get the vote. Why they don't get the perpetual joke is beyond me.

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

For the past five months, the Republican message on foreign policy message has been defined by a single word: Benghazi. Ever since the deadly September 11 attack on the U.S. compound in that Libyan city, Republicans have obsessed over the episode. Mitt Romney made Benghazi a favorite talking point in the 2012 campaign home stretch. More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan. They have dragged a parade of administration officials, including Hillary Clinton

TIMBUKTU, Mali - One of the last things the bearded fighters did before leaving this city was to drive to the market where traders lay their carpets out in the sand. The al-Qaida extremists bypassed the brightly-colored, high-end synthetic floor coverings and stopped their pickup truck in front of a man selling more modest mats woven from desert grass, priced at $1.40 apiece. There they bought two bales of 25 mats each, and asked him to bundle them on top of the car, along with a stack of sticks.

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
