| When President Barack Obama stepped off the stage in Denver last week the 60 million Americans watching the debate against Mitt Romney already knew it had been a disaster for him. But what nobody knew, until now, was that Obama believed he had actually won. In an extraordinary insight into the events leading up to the 90 minute showdown which changed the face of the election, a Democrat close to the Obama campaign today reveals that the President also did not take his debate preparation seriously,

When reading this sort of article, I always wonder what kind of Obama employee/loyalist makes a statement like that to any news reporter. It's extremely damaging to Obama to leak this kind of story, even if it's no surprise to most of us.

Why would anyone expect him to take the debate seriously? He takes nothing else that the US people consider important to be serious. Such a narcissist.
My guess is he's never had any pushback in his life.

Obama cannot win any of these debates. He does not have the capacity to retain information and pull it from his memory when he needs it. Telepromptering has caused his faculties to deteriorate. He is like most affirmative action hires. Everyone's excited to have him on board at first, then they realize he has been hired for the wrong reasons.

Leftists, like Obama, live in a dream world where feelings trump facts. He feels nothing but contempt for Romney, as his face revealed during the debate. In his arrogance, he assumed everyone else shares that contempt. I would have loved to watch his puzzlement as his aids struggled to break the news to him. Notice that his first reaction was that Romney cheated in some way, "That wasn't the real Romney!" I'll bet he still believes he bested Romney, but everyone else is too stupid to see that.

Narcissism combined with great ability can work, but narcissism and mediocrity do not go well together. The same goes for laziness. A person who is brilliant but lazy often accomplishes remarkable things - but someone who is mediocre and lazy will flop unless they are lucky or have a lot of outside help.
Obama is unlikely to have room in his head, swollen and empty though it is, for the idea that he is a person of very modest abilities. He is clearly somewhat above average in intelligence, but he is nowhere near as bright as he has been led to believe. He is certainly not smart enough to coast through a debate with someone like Mitt Romney. It is telling that his self-evaluation of his performance was that he had won the debate. He probably still believes that even though he says otherwise.
What now? Can he improve? He is still a narcissist; he is still lazy; and he is still a man of modest abilities, much too modest for the position he was given by infatuated voters who took him at his own self-estimate.
The only thing Obama has ever clearly done well is deliver prepared speeches to friendly audiences. He is a combination of a Toastmaster, a preacher, and a TV host. But it is all talk, all style, and no real substance. His political ideas are trite and stale, warmed over campus radicalism. There is no reason to suppose any amount of debate preparation can alter these things.

Obama seems to believe in a lot of things that don't make sense in the real world. If I were Romney, I might just ask the question "Is this how he operates with foreign leaders?" Because if it is, we have already become a third world party at the top.

“So Mr. President, how would you grade yourself on your first debate?”
“Personally, I would give myself an A- in that debate, because I admit I didn’t give a perfect performance this time. I figured anyone with a decent IQ could see thru Gov. Romney’s lies, so I didn’t waste my time embarrassing him. Not that I couldn’t have, it would have been easy. The retorts were right on the tip of my tongue, and while you probably thought I was struggling with some of my answers, I was really just trying to exercise great leadership by not descending to his level. I think people will realize this given some time. You have to get past the words in the debate and the ridiculous polls in order to truly grasp what a big loss that was for my opponent.”

This, to me, sounds like a mop-up story. The MSM has been trying for a week to "understand" and process O's performance. And since the truth is not to their liking they now can say his "poor" performance was related to "busy schedule" and his "disdain" for Romney. The last part being a really stupid reason - disdain. I personally think Obama did all he could do under the circumstances; and he failed to explain what he's done in the past 4 years in order to be re-elected. No amount of preparation can undo or explain, effectively, his failed leadership.

There were high expectations for Sen. Ted Cruz´s keynote address at CPAC 2013, and he delivered. As a young, passionate Hispanic who happens to be one of the most brilliant and accomplished constitutional experts and Supreme Court lawyers in the U.S. Senate in over half a century, Cruz poses a clear frustration for the left—and some in the Republican establishment as well. Cruz was a rock star at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Whenever anyone mentioned him in their remarks, the utterance was met with applause.

On Wednesday night, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) electrified the crowd at the Coalitions for America’s Weyrich Awards Dinner, named after founder Paul Weyrich. He led off his speech with a dismissive reference to Senator John McCain’s characterization of him as a “wacko bird.” Looking at the crowd, Cruz said, “Birds of a feather flock together.” Cruz led off with a full-on critique of the President’s public relations blitz over sequestration. “2.4 percent cuts were made from your meals,” he joked. He referenced the “emaciated face” of conservative megadonor Foster Friess.

Imagine you´re a waitress, out with friends on a night off, when you lose your wallet. Cash, credit cards, driver´s license—all gone. Your bank later informs you that checks are being issued in your name. It´s a pain, but you carry on. Two weeks later, you´re at work when four people walk in and sit in your section. They start ordering drinks. You ask to see their IDs. A woman in the group hands a driver´s license to you. You look down, and it´s yours.

A very courageous fifth-grade teacher in the Chicago Public Schools has written a scathing critique of the almost comical misery she and her students endured when they participated in a massive February 28 event kicking off Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Active Schools campaign. The First Lady’s campaign is an effort to improve (and in some cases, bring back) physical education in American schools. White House officials called the event “a groundbreaking, earth-shattering, awesomely-inspiring day.” Lisa Putnam and her fifth grades most certainly did not experience the event the same way, however.

President Obama must have been stunned at the "audacity" of Dr. Benjamin Carson in challenging his core assumptions right to his face in front of thousands of people at the National Prayer Breakfast. Obama is not used to being challenged, especially in public, even if indirectly and without being specifically named. From the look on his face, it was obvious Obama was none too pleased with Carson´s message or with his "presumptuousness" in presenting it in that forum, while he had to sit still and -- remain silent.

In the past week alone, Cruz has tangled with veteran Democratic spin-master Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) on Meet the Press, sent a tongue-in-cheek letter to Mayor Rahm Emanuel of Chicago, introduced legislation to fully repeal Obamacare, and recorded “no” votes on major items, including Hurricane Sandy relief,

Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"

Is Anthony Weiner completely delusional? Or is he out of his flipping, sex-crazed gourd? Whatever big-busted fantasies crawl around the ex-congressman’s delirious noggin, la Weiner made his next goal as clear as the skin of the wholesome college students he craved: He relishes being Mayor Weiner. Please, shut up this clown. These days, the genitally obsessed Weiner has nothing much to do, except sit in his lavish Manhattan apartment and — the inhumanity! — change the poopy diapers of his 16-month-old son, Jordan.
