It must be hard for Paul Ryan to enter into intellectual combat against an unarmed opponent - but we do what we have to do.

Do not forget that Paul Ryan likes to go "bow hunting" in his native state. He kills his target with an arrow, slowly he stalks his prey, he may lay in wait, he may climb a tree stand and glass, or he may shoot the dear on the run...but he has been hunting for years, being a killer, one who brings home the prey.

After Empty Chair spent months and millions of dollars spreading lies and propaganda about Mitt Romney (He doesn't care for the people. He wants to end medicare. He is owned by Big Business. He wants dirty air and water, etc.), they now call Romney a liar for not living up to the false caricature they made of him.
Choom Boy could have confronted Romney in the debate at any time, and challenged the truthfulness of Mitt's statements.
That he didn't shows that either: a) the statements Romney made were true; b) Obama is too much of a punk to be confrontational to someone in the same room, or c) Obama is too slow-witted or too permanently drug impaired to challenge Mitt.
Or was it all of the above?

Actually, Biden can be a successful debater. His main skill is having a quick recall of "HIS" facts. If you go back and look at the Biden/Palin debate, Joe's best moments were when he spouted off something that sounded great but had no basis in fact. However, the media never called him on any of it. Ryan will have to do it during the debate. Fortunately, I think Ryan will be ready.

#19, I think Obama picked Biden in part because of his "clean & articulate" comments. Waking up everyday and realizing that this young guy who has accomplished as much in Senate in 1.5 years as you have in 20+ years (still nothing) and now you have to call him boss!

I'm not a big fan of either Rand or Objectivism, but I have far less concern about Ryan finding inspiration there to enter politics than I have over Obama deliberately choosing Chicago, one of the most politically corrupt cities in the US, to enter politics despite not being a native and not having gone to college there. Why Chicago?
