| Newark — Screeners at Newark Liberty International Airport are properly executing standard pat-downs of passengers only 16.7 percent of the time and they identify and take appropriate action on prohibited items in only a quarter of all cases, according to a secret internal report. The revelations are contained in a document, obtained by The Star-Ledger, titled "PACE Airport Evaluation" and dated June 8. It was compiled by an undercover team of Transportation Security Administration employees from other airports who were asked to observe screeners at work at Newark Liberty. I will bet the same story could be told at every major airport in the nation. Youbknow it, I know it. Every sentient American knows it. TSA is a very expensive, invasive, obnoxious, and above all, ineffective joke. the sheeple who will tolerate all manner of indignities in order to "feel safe" are safe ONLY because the passengers now have tacit permission to fight back, unlike Pre 9/11/91 days. EVERY airline incident since then has been stopped by brave passengers and capable flight crews. TSA still, after all this time and money and equipment, still scores a big fat goose egg. Feel like you've been had yet, suckers?

New York — Federal mortgage payment relief has been extended up to one year for more than 200,000 homeowners whose houses were damaged by Superstorm Sandy. U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan announced the extension for homeowners with Federal Housing Administration-insured loans on Friday. A previous mortgage payment extension for federally-backed home loans was set to expire on April 30. About 286,000 homeowners with FHA-insured loans were affected by the late October storm, with nearly 96,000 in New York. Donovan said the 12-month extension was meant to help homeowners still struggling to rebuild avoid foreclosure.
