President Obama's star-studded fundraising concert Sunday at Nokia Theater -- with the likes of Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder and Katy Perry -- is expected to snarl traffic in the area. The president is expected to arrive Sunday to attend several functions, Los Angeles police said in a statement. Details were not available, but police said his motorcade would move through the Westside on Sunday afternoon, with temporary street closures. In late afternoon, the motorcade will travel to downtown Los Angeles for more events, with potential brief closures along the 10 Freeway and streets

Isn't that peachy! People can sit in tied up traffic burning gasoline that costs them $5.00 a gal. and polluting the environment. But, hey, it's for Obama, so it's okay.

I think the police should let his motorcade deal with the traffic like the regulars in L.A. He'd have an excuse to be two hours late!

Why not just say, several fundraisers.

Thats what it is.

Just keep it up. Keep on inconveniencing people, offending people, acting like the little emperor. Good.

Talk about a vote-killer.

Sooner or later Dem voters have to get sick of him. They can't go anywhere this weekend because of high gas prices. If they do go, they'll get snarled up by him and his campaign fundraiser.

There is a big difference between a president's personal appearance somewhere for official reasons and plain old money-hustling.

So keep it up, Dumbo...

The beautiful people who Obama is going to be rubbing noses with in Hollywood are not going to help him one bit in preparing for his next debate with Romney. Then again maybe Obama could care less, and is looking forward to moving to his new mansion on the beach in Hawaii.

If Obama and crew cause enough havoc in the LA area with the traffic, maybe Romney will end up winning California after all.

Protesters plan to disrupt Baroness Thatcher’s funeral by turning their backs on the funeral cortege as it passes. Thousands of people are supporting the plot as the eyes of millions of people turn on St Paul’s Cathedral next Wednesday. The architect of the protest is Dominic Francis, 25, whose parents live in a £700,000 home in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Mr Francis, a student at Ruskin College in Oxford, said mourners had brought the disturbance on themselves by holding such a public event. He was urging protests with a ‘heavy heart’ because of the ‘State funding’ of the huge ceremonial event.

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, paid the lowest effective tax rate since they moved into the White House by taking advantage of the most popular — and expensive — benefits in the tax code. Tax returns released by the White House on Friday show that the Obamas paid an effective tax rate of 18.4 percent on more than $608,000 in adjusted gross income earned in 2012. Last year, their rate was 20.5 percent. They were able to lower the amount of income on which they were taxed by more than $258,000 by claiming several big-ticket deductions.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell, age 72, ran an abortion clinic for over 20 years in Philadelphia, now dubbed as the ‘House of Horrors.’ Gosnell allegedly performed illegal, late-term abortions (past the 24-week limit permitted by law), cutting the spinal cords of countless aborted babies. Gosnell also employed unqualified staff, including teenagers and two other “doctors” who were merely medical school graduates without a license. Gosnell allegedly made millions of dollars over his 30-year career and lucrative cash-only abortion practice, as well as

As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
