Chicago's Susan Crown, Influential
Obama '08 Supporter, Campaigns

Breitbart Big Government, by Jasmine Velasco

Businesswoman and philanthropist Susan Crown, a former Obama supporter and a member of one of Chicago’s most influential families, told an audience of over 300 women and men, “In the midst of the Obama administration, I became profoundly disappointed, disillusioned and actually a little angry.” Democrats, Republicans and self-described independents recently came together to hear how one of President Obama’s own prominent supporters is now using her considerable talent and energy to get Gov. Mitt Romney elected the next President of the United States. They gathered at a modest complimentary luncheon in the ballroom of a hotel in Naperville,

This is way down in the article, but needs to be heard:

~~“I have been blessed in my life to work with some of the most capable mentors and leaders. And I think I can spot them at this point. He is extraordinary. He is smart. Capable. Focused. Driven. Principled. Humane. Clear. He’s a gentleman. And to have a person of his quality? We ought to jump on this opportunity to get someone of his quality elected."~~

Shocking, again I say shocking, Susan Crown, of the Crown Cork & Seal heritage, is in the hoi poloi of Chicago "elite society" along with the Pritzgers.

I guess when you wake up and see what is happening to the country you begin being concerned for its future!

Note that she points to specific issues as to why she has abandoned 'O' for Romney. Perhaps Hillbuzz was right. By election day Illinois may be up for grabs.

Very interesting. The Crown family is one of the richest and most influential in Chicago. She can raise a lot of money for Romney even if Illinois is hopelessly blue.

"I do not think Barack Obama has ever taken an accounting class." Ouch.

This is going on in Chicago, folks. Rahm is also a MOT. He's already officially left the Obama campaign. Does anyone NOT think that there is pressure being put on him? There are also simmering anger and frustration and feelings of betrayal among a lot of black folks who know what's what. That is useable. They don't have to be convinced to vote for Romney. Just walk away. And if Chicago sits this one out, downstate Illinois hands the state to Romney. And everyone knows it.

I also believe that by election day Illinois could be in play. It's tricky, and it is a delicate path that must be navigated, but it is doable, and the mere hint that it might be in the offing would be absolutely devastating to the Obama camp nationwide.

This is her roots:

Henry Crown (1896 – August 14, 1990) was an American industrialist and philanthropist. Among other things, he founded the Material Service Corporation, which merged with General Dynamics in 1959. At the time of his death, he was a billionaire. Henry Crown and Company, of which he is the namesake, is an investment firm that owns or has interests in a variety of business assets.

I happen to know Ms. Crown. She is a woman of great integrity, intelligent, great speaker and very generous. It takes a lot of courage for a person as well known as her to admit a mistake and try to correct it. I hope more people in her position would do the same.

[Editor´s note: This article contains highly disturbing, graphic images. Please proceed with caution.] Who is Dr. Kermit Gosnell? Dr. Kermit Gosnell, age 72, ran an abortion clinic for over 20 years in Philadelphia, now dubbed as the ‘House of Horrors.’ Gosnell allegedly performed illegal, late-term abortions (past the 24-week limit permitted by law), cutting the spinal cords of countless aborted babies. Gosnell also employed unqualified staff, including teenagers and two other “doctors” who were merely medical school graduates without a license. Gosnell allegedly made millions of dollars over his 30-year career and lucrative cash-only abortion practice, as well as

The First Family’s 2012 tax returns are out today and they show that the Obamas paid an effective federal tax rate of 18.4 percent, almost half of the top tax rate last year. Neil Cavuto reacted on Your World this afternoon as the news broke, pointing out that President Obama slammed Mitt Romney for paying an effective tax rate of 14 percent on his income during the presidential campaign. “Remember what a big deal ‘fatcat Mitt’ supposedly dodging the tax man was then, and ask yourself why the president paying not much more isn’t remotely a big deal now,”

They say they were just doing what the boss trained them to do. But eight former employees of a run-down West Philadelphia abortion clinic now face prison time for the work they did for Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Three have pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. And Gosnell, 72, is on trial in the deaths of a patient and seven babies allegedly born alive. In testimony at the capital murder trial this past month, an unlicensed doctor and untrained aides described long, chaotic days at the clinic. They said they performed grueling, often gruesome work for little more than minimum wage,

WASHINGTON- Retail sales contracted in March for the second time in three months, a sign the American economy may have stumbled at the end of the first quarter. Retail sales fell 0.4 percent during the month, the Commerce Department said on Friday. That was below analysts´ expectations that sales would be flat. Readings for retail sales have been volatile so far this year, making it difficult to know whether the weakness in March was due to a tax hike that went into effect at the start of the year or to temporary factors related to the weather.

Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
