| President Obama may win re-election, but if he does it appears it will be without the legions of fervent supporters and big enthusiasm that propelled him to victory four years ago. In the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll, Mitt Romney’s supporters are about as enthusiastic about supporting him in November as are those who back Obama. This is a stark contrast from the Post-ABC poll earlier this month, as well as throughout 2008, when Obama had huge leads over Sen. John McCain in this area.

The republican establishment can always count on the conservatives stepping up and supporting the moderate GOP nominee. This time, even with enthusiasm, because the other option this time is hard core Socialism.
I have to wonder what that level of enthusiasm would be if the GOP nominee were to be a Reaganite. But. . . . something about making lemonade.

The enthusiasm has reversed. It started in 2010, will continue in 2012, and will be fully felt in 2014. The Elite will not see it coming this year or in 2014.

In addition to the Romney backers who are very enthused about voting for Romney, you have to add the legions of voters who are unenthusiastic about voting for Romney but who will crawl through broken glass to vote AGAINST Obama.

Right about 0's supporters. Wrong about Mitt Romney's. Conservatives are determined to get rid of 0, we are awaiting Nov. 6 with great anticipation. Just because we are not doing cartwheels in the street, the fossil sees a lack of enthusiasm.
While enthusiasm may well be the standard of measurement for liberals, determination is a better standard by which to measure conservatives. Until they find a way to work that fact into their polling efforts, they cannot know what we are really capable of on election day.

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder, the nation´s chief law enforcement officer, returned to the courthouse where he once served as a judge, this time in the role of prospective juror performing his civic duty. The Justice Department said Holder wasn´t chosen and that he won´t be called back. Had he been selected for the jury Tuesday, the attorney general would have been on a panel hearing an armed robbery case. Holder sat in the last row of Judge Stuart Nash´s courtroom along with other prospective jurors as the judge gave details of the case.

MSNBC´s programming became almost entirely full of commentary and opinion in 2012, while "factual reporting" saw almost no airtime, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center. The report, which is part of Pew´s annual comprehensive State of the News Media, found that opinion and commentary fill 85 percent of the airtime on MSNBC. Former Gov. Jim McGreevey’s life is about to get the HBO treatment. The premium network later this month will air a documentary called "Fall to Grace" on McGreevey’s resignation as governor and his “redemption and transformation” while studying to become an Episcopal priest and working to help female inmates, according to a press release from HBO. The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions. Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

An Ohio woman filed a $25,000 lawsuit against her employer, alleging she was fired for voting for President Obama. Patricia Kunkle of Kettering, Ohio, claimed that Dayton-based Q-Mark, Inc., threatened to fire employees of the defense contractor if Obama won re-election, with the president’s supporters to be the first to receive pink slips, the Dayton Daily News reported. Kunkle said she had a conversation the day after Election Day that indicated she voted for Obama. She was fired three days later.

A meeting between the new U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart will take place next week in German capital Berlin. Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have agreed to meet in Berlin on February 26, US State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland said in a statement on Thursday. "Secretary Kerry and Foreign Minister Lavrov will discuss a wide range of bilateral and international issues," she added. The statement did not specify the agenda of talks. It will be Kerry´s first meeting with Lavrov in his new capacity as US Secretary of State.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
