Oh, those arms!
Herald Tribune ( Sarasota, FL ), by Joyce Purnick

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 10/1/2012 10:09:30 AM

I HAD expected to keep mum about my problem with Michelle Obama until after the election, but my frustration has gotten the better of me. I can contain it no longer. I refer not to her politics, but to her arms — her bare, toned, elegant arms. Enough! The first lady has made it unacceptable for women to appear in public with covered arms. However innocently, however unwittingly, that is what she has done. Those bare, toned, elegant arms of hers have spawned an epidemic of sleevelessness, exposing arms, arms, arms, and not all of them toned and elegant.

Comments:
Barf alert.
Michelle 0bama is a fashion illiterate and too stupid to know that a lady wears long sleeves in fall/winter . . . . one of the many traits of her tasteless wardrobe habits. Yet, rather than point out her lack of taste, the PC fashion world continues to cover for her and obsess over her arms. Cut me a break.

The vapidity of some female writers is staggering:

The first lady has made it unacceptable for women to appear in public with covered arms.

"..unacceptable" to whom? To those who care about what M wears? To those who care about fashion? By what other people deem important such as bare/covered arms?

It wouldn't occur to me in a million years to give a rip what is fashionable or not, especially as conveyed by what some dictatorial First Lady wears or doesn't wear. Geez...

How did Americans get so shallow?

I'm not impressed by those never ending bare arms. An outfit here or there is OK, but she almost always bares her arms. For what is reported what she spends on clothes, the dressmaker could certainly give her the complete dress, arms coverings included.
And who wears sleeveless dressed as the weather begins to cool off?
Well, the Fox babes do and they show a lot more! Whatever happened to proper work place attire?

What Margaret Thatcher

In her remarkable life, Margaret Thatcher achieved what Hillary Rodham Clinton still wants (or at least what the pundits say she wants): She became the first female leader of her country, and she did it in such a determined way that her sex was almost an afterthought. In many respects, the two women are profoundly different. Thatcher, who died Monday at 87, was a self-described "conviction politician" and arch-conservative who channeled Milton Friedman and bonded fiercely with "Ronnie" Reagan, her great pal and partner on the world stage as the Cold War came to an end.

Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train. Ahmed is not suspected of directly taking part in the attack which left four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead.

More recently, Republicans have invoked Benghazi to shoot down one would-be cabinet nominee, Susan Rice, and delay two others, Chuck Hagel and John Brennan.
