Romney: Obama ‘Did Not’ Raise Taxes

| Mitt Romney strayed from his own campaign’s talking points during a “reset” rally with running mate Paul Ryan today in Ohio. In the midst of remarks otherwise ridiculing the president’s tax record, Romney said: “I admit this, [President Obama] has one thing he did not do in his first four years — he’s said he’s going to do in the next four years, which is to raise taxes.” Behind him, Ryan appeared to wince at the mention.

Right. Romney said he didn't raise them yet - emphasis on yet. ObamaCare doesn't take full effect until 2014. Meanwhile, Obie's raised private insurance premiums sky-high.

I'm glad that the Romney team did correct this. Has everyone forgotten the Tanning tax that has already went into effect?

Kind of dumb, and only something that a wimpy Republican would say. A street smart Democrat would never say anything like that. In a couple of days we will probably be seeing Romney on a Obama campaign video that will be edited so that Romney is shown saying only that "Obama did not raise taxes". Its called shooting yourself in the foot!
Every one of the Obama campaign videos that I have seen are deceitful and dishonest and Obama could obviously care less. There is one playing now, that claims falsely that Romney only paid a tax rate of 14% on 12 million dollars of income. That's deceitful, because the truth is Romney paid the 14% on long-term capital gains and not income.
Also why are not the wimpy Republicans pointing out to the country that the capital gains tax is a secondary tax on money that has already been previously taxed as earned income, probably at a much higher tax rate of about 30%.

Romney made it crystal clear that Obama wants to raise taxes in his second term (after the election, natch), and that America cannot endure another four years of Obama's misgovernance. I didn't notice Paul Ryan's "wince at the mention" either; he nodded.
ABC "News" plays gotcha'. Big deal. Anyone at ABC News wanna play gotcha' with Obama and Biden? Didn't think so. (Maybe Jake Tapper, the only one of that motley crew who has any integrity at all.)

But to be honest, Obama did not raise taxes YET. You don't want Romney to be disingenuous, do you? Now, you cannot exactly claim that Obamacare has raised taxes because it hasn't happened yet. We all know it will happen though, unless we can either repeal or completely dismantle the act. Still, it can be clarified that when the Affordable Health Care Act does go into effect, then we will have the highest raise ever.

Psst.... Stop calling him "president" like some kind of servile spit wad thrower. Otherwise, ABC news, an extension of the reelect Obama campaign, is just doing some dirty work for their boy. Unfortunately they don't call our side the stupid party as many of you are eager to swallow this red herring hook line and sinker. You can bellyache and moan about Romney AFTER the election. Right now you are supposed to be pretending to be doing all you can to defeat Dear Leader, The Six Trillion Dollar Man. There will be plenty of time after election day to lecture us on the merits of a Gingrich/ Palin ticket.

The US Supreme Court in the Obama care case said that Obama care was a tax, so Obama did raise taxes during his term, in fact Obama care is loaded with probably about 20 different taxes.

True that Obie has some taxes already in effect, but we ain't seen nothin' yet, especially if he's re-elected. Perhaps Romney wasn't precise enough, but we're not really noticing what ObamaCare has done yet. That's probably by design. We must defeat the Democrats unless we want this to continue and expand.

The study, part of the Costs of War Project by the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University, drew from actual expenditures from the U.S. Treasury and future commitments.

Several Republican governors have embraced a key pillar of President Obama’s health-care law: Extending Medicaid to 17 million Americans. Many Republicans balked at the expansion when the Supreme Court made the Medicaid expansion optional in its ruling last in the summer. Supporters of the law worried that the opposition could undermine the entire health-care overhaul by shrinking the pool of Americans who would gain coverage. But six Republican governors have since come to back the program, including Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder on Wednesday and Ohio’s John Kasich on Monday. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer announced her support in mid-January.

Chevy Volt sales are cranking up. General Motors sold three times as many Chevrolet Volts in 2012 as it did in 2011, which was the car´s first full year on the market. GM sold 23,461 Volts in 2012 compared with just 7,671 in 2011. While it´s an impressive jump, the Volt is still one of Chevy´s lowest-selling cars. However, the Volt greatly outdid the Corvette, for instance, of which only 14,000 were sold last year.

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

On his Friday show, syndicated talk show host Mark Levin said that a Republican congressman is attempting to persuade one of his affiliates to remove his show from the airwaves. Although Levin would not offer the congressman’s name on air, he has been a vocal critic of various members of the House Republican leadership in the past. But Levin called the situation “fascism.” “Well, it has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there who doesn’t like what I’ve been saying,” Levin said. “It has come to my attention that there is a

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

In light of the explosions that have rocked Boston on Patriots’ Day, during the city’s annual marathon, NBC reporter Luke Russert took to Twitter to speculate that today’s horrific events could possibly be related to the 1993 government siege on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas — an incident often attached to conversations about “right-wing terrorism” and anti-government violence. “I was at Fenway Park w my dad and @mikebarnicle during Waco which was on Patriots Day in 1993. Speculating on possible link,” Russert tweeted following the explosions.

Friends and allies of Baroness Thatcher expressed ‘surprise and disappointment’ last night as it emerged President Obama is not planning to send any serving member of his administration to her funeral. Whitehall sources have revealed that the U.S. delegation at tomorrow’s service in St Paul’s Cathedral will be led by two Reagan era secretaries of state: James Baker and George Shultz. Though President Obama himself had not been expected to attend, there had been speculation that he would be represented either by Vice President Joe Biden or wife Michelle. Newtown killer Adam Lanza’s mother considered suing Sandy Hook Elementary School after teachers turned a blind eye to beatings from his classmates, a family member claims. The relative, speaking to the Daily News, claimed that mass murderer Lanza was taunted and attacked by fellow students at his childhood alma mater. “Nancy felt fiercely protective of him,” the relative said. “She was convinced the school wasn’t doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate.” Nancy Lanza — gunned down by her 20-year-son to start his Dec. 14 rampage — even tagged along with Adam to school

The impending introduction of legislation to overhaul the country’s badly strained immigration system received an extraordinary endorsement on Sunday from Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, who, after holding back for weeks, appeared on no fewer than seven television talk shows to explain and defend a plan that he said would be “a net positive for the country, now and in the future.” It was a striking show of confidence from Mr. Rubio, one of eight members of a bipartisan Senate group that has been crafting a plan to provide a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants;

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

President Obama pledged that the United States would punish anyone responsible for the explosions at the Boston Marathon today, but he said that “people shouldn’t jump to conclusions” about the tragedy. “We still do not know who did this or why and people shouldn’t jump to conclusions before they have all the facts,” Obama told reporters during a statement from the White House. “Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice,” he added. Two explosions occurred today near the finish line of the Boston Marathon,
