PRESIDENT Barack Obama moved to reassure a nation shaken by the mass shooting on an army post in Texas yesterday by stating that the training designed to keep US forces safe abroad prevented further deaths and ended a rampage at Fort Hood. Praising what he called the heroism that ended the rampage on the nation's largest army post, the president described the exchange that left 13 dead and 30 others wounded on Thursday as a

Unlike The Won, I don't consider Hasan 'American.' And I don't consider us somehow to blame for him. He pretty well told us what he was, a Palestinian and a lurking enemy. I take him for what he says he is while the O clings to his unicorn dreams.

The worst? He must mean the mealymouthed, whining America-haters who are making excuses for this terrorist slimeball and the fears his "brethren" have when we feel like we have to have one eye on them all the time?

Hey Zippy - any more shoutouts?

This incident says nothing about "America" other than its heroism.

What a complete disgrace for a President.

He CAN NOT bring himself to say anything positive about this nation. His hatred of the United States of America and its people is subordinated only to his love of self. My God, we are so screwed.

In all fairness to Obama - a phrase I find challenging to write because I feel I've been fair to him in my constant criticism of him and his Lord of the Flies administration - the article incompetently misquotes what Obama read from the teleprompter, which actually said "we saw the worst of human nature on full display, we also saw the best of America." The headline writer needs to get it straight because there's plenty to criticize that is accurate.

Thank you, #10.

This is a case of bad headline writing, likely by an editor who doesn't feel much of an affinity for our nation. After all, his is the country that let the Lockerbie hijacker go.

The uncle is quoted as saying Hasan had tears in his eyes describing the wounded soldiers battle injuries.

So, he was so upset about it he went out and killed, wounded and left scarred for life another 43 people?

Come up with another story, uncle, I'm not buying that one.

Curious Hussein is really no more "American" than the muslim major, in my opinion...

Did he include himself in the worst?
