WASHINGTON -- With a personal push from President Barack Obama, the House of Representatives Saturday inched closer to passing historic health care legislation that would guarantee virtually all Americans access to care. Obama met for half an hour with House Democrats as the all-day debate was starting Saturday morning, and compared the health care effort to Democrats' championing of Social Security and Medicare. "Now is the time to finish the job," Obama said later in

Comments:
They now claim they have enough votes to pass the monstrosity. This will be hell.

Is there any provision in the nearly 2000 pages that mandates all Federal employees, including Congress Critters, and Czars, and the president and vice president, have to OPT IN. I do not think so. If it is NOT good enough for them why should we believe it is good enough for us? Any Congress Critter that votes 'YEA' for this monstrosity should be sent to Gitmo for violating their oath of office! They did take an oath to 'Defend The Constitution from enemy's both foreign and domestic'. Any one who votes 'YEA' is the enemy of the Constitution! Where does it give the Federal Gubermint the power to mandate that the citizens of this once GREAT Republic have to buy anything?

We won't forget these terrorist's within at the ballot box in 2010. I'm sick at what these out of control, power hungry, power grabbing liberals are doing to our country. Pelosi, Reid et al. don't really care as they are rich as Croesus and won't be bothered in the least with worrying about a job, a mortgage, a doctor. If they pass this horror, our future is grim. I'm not saying hopeless, just hard and grim.

Yes, instituting fascism in place of a representitive republic is "historic",

The first line of the story stinks of spin.

The kicker is that they will make us start paying for it in Jan. 2010 although it doesn't kick in until 2014.
By then it will have been declared UNconstitutional. IF it passes, and I am not convinced it will.

Imagine a republican congress passing a bill in the dead of night without any rat support, a bill that a majority of the American people said they don't want. Would the media be heaping praise & crowing about the wonders of this "historic" piece of legislation?

I think not. A pox on this house.

I think it's time to start up the recalls.

Is anything really happening tonight?

Why are none of the news outlets reporting it?

While everyone is spending this lovely fall day working in their yards or going to football games with their families, there's devilry at work.

But why isn't anyone reporting it? What am I missing?

As if we weren't slaves of the state already.
If this passes we'll really start to feel that boot heel on our necks. Right now it is just the fuzzy slipper heel.

The Politico is reporting that 33 Dems have defected. That means only 7 more Dems need to say Nay in order to Kill the Bill.
